  1. What do you think the most common pitfalls that writers fall into when writing an episode about the characters (mostly the Mane Six)? These are what I think.
  2. Note #1: This is one of the episodes leaked a few weeks ago. If you watched the episode already, keep all discussion under the spoiler tag until after it finishes officially airing. (Hit the eye icon to trigger it and type within it.) DO NOT LINK OR POST THE LEAKED MATERIAL! Note #2: Over the last month-plus, some content originally leaked (e.g., the Student Six's names, episode titles, some summaries) have been officially revealed, and chances are more will, too. But as always, please keep all leaked content not officially revealed yet — and/or if you're unsure if you're revealing too much — under the "spoiler" tag. Title: Horse Play Air Date (U.S./Disc. Family): April 28 at 11:30am Writer: Kaita Mpambara Summary: "Twilight Sparkle casts Princess Celestia in her play, only to discover Celestia's talents lie elsewhere." 3. Who is your favorite princess in the show? Celestia, Luna or Cadance? My favorites are Cadance and Luna, but I like Celestia too.

Hub The highest authority in all of Equestria. She is responsible for raising the sun and until recently, the moon also. She is the most magical of all other ponies, and with the fact of her being over a thousand years old, she is wise far beyond normal years. She is the sister of another high authority co-ruler, Princess Luna. Let's have some Celly love up in here. I dedicate this to all of you Celestia fans out there, so don't let the love die! RULES (by Tomiix): -No spamming post to become biggest fans -This is a children’s show, and believe it or not there are younger people who go on these forums, please limit content to suggestive only. For example you may post a picture of two ponies kissing, but they cannot be doing anything inappropriate, or showing things inappropriate. -Do not post a picture of Applejack in the Celestia forum, because Applejack belongs in the Applejack forum. -Do not hate on another fan club, for example posting in the Fluttershy forum "Twilight is better!" -I have the ability to decide whether you are doing something inappropriate or not, if I deem you are doing something unnecessary and I ask you to stop, please stop. Common Sense my little ponies. -All of MLP Forums rules still apply. This is the Celestia thread, please only post her. If you have recommendations for another pony club, go to the hub (linked at the top of the post).
  5. NOTE: I've seen a lot of posts from users on both sides with a vengeful attitude towards either fans or detractors both on this site (at least two of which I reported) and off. Wishing ill will at people or a group of people, calling someone or a group of fans "butthurt" (an ad hominem with homophobic and misogynistic implications), bashing fans, and verbal abuse to fan factions are vile and not welcome in this thread. For the sake of keeping discussion cool and civil, save this immaturity in your trash box and don't post it. On another note, even though this episode won't air in the U.S. until June 10, Treehouse TV in Canada will air it this Saturday sometime between 11 and 11:30am. Be prepared for spoilers! Title: A Royal Problem Air Date (Canada/Treehouse TV): May 20, 2017 Air Date (U.S./Discovery Family): June 10, 2017 Writer: Joanna Lewis & Kristine Songco (a.k.a., The Sister Writers) Summary: "Starlight Glimmer is sent to solve a friendship problem between Princess Celestia and Princess Luna; when it's clear that the problem is that the royal sisters don't appreciate one another, Starlight impulsively switches their cutie marks!" This episode will continue the trend from Treehouse TV starting last Sunday with Fluttershy Leans In: Two episodes will air per week, one on Saturday, one on Sunday (and could air the finale early in the summer), while Discovery Family will air one per week. More than likely due to the Movie coming out in October. The airing timing isn't consistent, so if you plan to watch the episode via the stream, arrive early. When someone uploads the episodes on YT and DailyMotion, I'll link them to you here. A poll will be published after it airs. 6. Welcome to the Summer Sun Celebration Trivia event. It's been a while since the forums have had a trivia, but now the time has come for a new one to make itself known. As you know, summer has now begun in the northern hemisphere--the south just started winter--and that means a certain princess gets to shine. Princess Celestia might not have had as many appearances as her fellow princesses but she continues to be a shining beacon of hope for all creatures in Equestria... and at a certain school within the realm of humans. This trivia is all Celestia based... both versions of her. Unlike previous trivia where it was all Friendship is Magic themed questions and one Equestria Girls question, this time, both have been given equal treatment. In my eyes, EQG has long since proven itself worthy of standing on equal footing with FiM. So what have I got here? Eight questions, four from FiM, and four from EQG. If you wish to earn a badge, all questions must be answered correctly. Luckily, there is no bonus question this time so you don't have to look for anything truly obscure. Like previous trivia events, four days is how long you've got to submit your answers. And, I'm sure you've already figured out to send answers to @Princess Celestia. She will also handle the EQG answers. Again, send to @Princess Celestia. Any questions? No? Good! Let's begin. 1. Princess Celestia once teased Mr. and Mrs. Cake. How did she do this? 2. Principal Celestia contributed a gift when she went to Camp Everfree as a camper. What was it? 3. In the season nine premiere, Rainbow Dash mentioned what regarding Princess Celestia? 4. In Friendship Games, how did Principal Celestia react to seeing Sci-Twi after Principal Cinch escorted her away? 5. What is the one drawback Princess Celestia has to deal with regarding having to work the night shift in 'A Royal Problem'? 6. What did Princess Celestia do to make Twilight freak out in 'Forgotten Friendship'? 7. 'Horse Play' revealed what flaw about Princess Celestia? 8. 'Schedule Swap' had Principal Celestia deal with what particular problem?

  8. Note: Credit to @CloudMistDragon, @Justin_Case001, Kaperon TSB, and Applegeek for this review. Today Sparkle's Seven is Season 9's greatest episode. Everything fell into place and was written so, so well. But writing just this much only really undercuts the mastery of its storytelling and humor. Rather than doing simply a breakdown of the episode in a strength/weakness structure or a long essay, I'll break down specific points, ala my Movie review and Zeppelin analysis. Setting the Tone. Within the first minute, Haber and Dubuc establish the episode's whimsical tone, beginning with this little whammy. Spike's so excited to receive Shining Armor's letter that he burst in Twilight's office, accidentally spooked Starlight enough to cause her to drop a stack of papers on the floor, and unroll his scroll with extreme glee. All punctuated by a very happy trumpet score in the background. Ten seconds in, the audience begins to have a quick impression of what its tone, atmosphere, and overall direction could be: casual, fun, and possibly exciting. The crown may be a toy, but Spike's face and Twilight's subsequently surprised reaction reveal how important it is to them: It establishes a friendly sibling rivalry between her and older bro Shining Armor, which the montage shows they had a huge amount of fun to earn it. That toy crown's nostalgic, a will to be impressive during the week, and improve if you miss it. Being a bro himself, Spike's excited to see SA revive it, even if for one more time. Before the open ends, Sparkle's Seven alerts us of the stakes: Whoever wins the crown this time officially wins Sibling Supreme. Forever. It effectively delivers on the episode's direction and tone without wasting one precious millisecond. Speaking of tone… Twilight: "For…ev…errrr…" What do Best Night Ever, Lesson Zero, Pinkie Pride, Slice of Life, Saddle Row Review, and Break Down each have in common? They're filled to the brim with comedy and among the best episodes in part of or because of it. Sparkle's Seven ups the ante hundredfold. Everywhere it goes, it's ripe with humor. To go over a few early examples: Starlight's last, quizzical line. Celestia's beat after Princess Luna takes a verbal shot at her (along with a small stare at her as SA gloated). This face… Suddenly, I'm hungry for pudding… Princess Luna whinnying like a horse. Recall his fans giving that poor robin having trouble flying near the Royal Sisters's castle? Here's the next scene! Eeyup! Same robin, dazed from crash-landing, walking near the castle instead! Going a little dark there, eh, story?! Pinkie cutting off Rarity and Dash's film noir scene (a very clever callback to Rarity Investigates!) and breaking the fourth wall during the cartoony space scene. Her small whine sells it quite well. Spike imagining himself as a spy teaming up with Fluttershy to steal his crown. From the start, Sparkle's Seven doesn't let up on any comedic opportunities. If they find a spot, they were going for it, be they succeed or fail. Varying the humor — rather than relying on one type — by equally including sound effects, the score, little Easter Eggs caught on repeated rewatches, different camera/animation techniques, and dialogue catches the audience by surprise, a crucial ingredient to good-quality comedy, and increases its replayability. The cartoony medium also helped accentuate their faces, going extreme without becoming uncanny. One will be covered in more detail right now. The Many Faces of Equestria! Despite the boatload of comedic variety, their faces drive most of it. Haber, Dubuc, and the animators successfully take advantage of the animation medium and exaggerate them without becoming gross, uncanny, or out of place. The only question: When's the right time? Thanks to its absurd tone, whenever they surprise us. Act 1's full of them, but some of my favorites occur during the second. Here are just a few. Earlier, AJ claimed to possess an alter ego named Apple Chord and would use it to distract the Canterlot guards while the others snooped inside. But after telling her story, Dash realized she wasn't telling the truth, leading to this awkward mouth. Does a face like THAT tell you she wants to be Apple Chord? Nope! Onstage, one uncomfy dudette forces herself to live a lie long enough for her friends to get inside. This one is sequential: Twilight and Shining Armor's exchange outside the castle. Suspected she was up to something, he questioned her. How did she respond? By sniffing a nearby flower with a cunning grin. Shining scooted away, peeking as she innocently waved to him. What makes this so interesting? Because it adds to the friendly yet passionate rivalry between them. Silly, yet serious in showing a tight, competitive relationship. Twilight realizing Rarity's scheme fell apart. If that doesn't accurately describe her sinking loss of hope… Poor Twilie. Yeah way! Uh huh! But my favorite moment, until the end, is the Dash and Rarity scene. Realizing in shock that the café was closed during the afternoon catalyzed their moment to spy on the episode's first truly suspicious event: Luna replacing two Canterlot guards with Zephyr Breeze. At first, one might wonder why she'd hire someone like him to take part, but then you become reminded of SA's words from earlier: ponies guard every door, so it makes sense for ponies to replace them while they're out to lunch. That said, it's Zephyr we're talking about here…! But we'll talk about that later. The true gift of this scene is how they react to him. Including, well, how shall I say it? Uh…eeyep? Oh, eeyup! When I first watched Sparkle's Seven, I laughed. The second time around, I nearly fell to the floor from laughing so hard. Sneaky sneaky, DHX! XD Ironically, they also made Zephyr, one of the worst characters of the series, actually pleasant to watch. Sure, he's still a diva, but he's much more self-confident now (clever subtlety). His ego's no longer patronizing; only Dash finds him annoying. Why does the way they present him matter here? Ashleigh Ball wanted Rainbow Dash to interact more with Ryan Beil (Zeph's VA). They showed great chemistry in FB, and Dash helped get his life back on track. SS's the first Pony ep we see him in since then, so the question is will his development stay or not? Sparkle's Seven answers that question with nuance. Oh, and do I need to post a couple of more faces? I'm the Youngest One(s) Like past episodes such as HW Club, Best Night Ever, Lost Mark, and TT123, the third act really elevates it. The first pivotal moment occurs just following the commercial break, when Spike tells Fluttershy he sometimes feels forgotten and uses their rivalry to back up his point. Immediately, two innocent moments from the cold open impact the story: baby Spike drawing gold stars below their chart and his wish to take part in it right after Twi's flashback. But there's more than that, as well. For most of the series, Spike's family presence with Twilight's more like an afterthought. In Season 1, Spike's primary occupation was assisting her in her studies. At one point, Twi wanted to wake Spike up from his sleep and request him to retrieve her quill, implicating he's a slave. Thanks to the ending, Princess Spike sent misandric messages in a pro-feminist show. Have we come a long way since then? Yes. But his arc felt incomplete, and episodes like Zeppelin (Iron Will believed Spike wasn't family enough to reward him a ticket!) and Father Knows Beast only created more Q's than A's. Long-time continuity backs up his doubts. FS, recalling her strained sibling relationship with Zephyr, understands his feelings. Twilight — so determined to win the Hard-Won Helm — accidentally ignores Spike's "little brothers" line minutes later. Thanks for proving his point, everypony. Fortunately, this scene was an extra cog to one of two big reveals in the climax: Under everyone's noses, Spike stole the crown, shocking everyone. But he wasn't alone. AIN'T THAT TWIST SO…GLOOO—RIOUS?! So how does this make any sense? Recall the first bit of foreshadowing mentioned a few paragraphs ago. Celestia and Luna share very strong differences of opinions of Shining Armor's security. Celly really liked it, but Luna was unsure and, as stated in Act 1, wanted to test it with her, but she chose to summon Twilight instead. Everyone was so caught up that they overlooked its fatal flaw: They're so focused on outside threats they overlook inside ones. Spike quickly realized it, and observing how Luna and Celly couldn't stop nonverbal arguments with each other, he concocted an inside plan with Luna to prove it to everyone. And boy, did they take serious advantage! Knowing his vanity would distract him from doing his job, Luna replaced two experienced guards with Zephyr for the afternoon shift. Spike tore Pinkie's hot-air balloon with his claws, not only further sabotaging Rarity's plan, but also providing enough of a distraction for AJ to steal a Royal Guard medal (which Rarity later used). Luna keeping Celestia and SA out of the Throne Room long enough for Spike and Fluttershy to explore the catacombs, escape, and invade. At one point, they got lost, and Dash pulled down every wall sconce to try to escape, so he mapped out the catacombs and noted all the traps and secret passageways. Spike's wits are essential to his character. Sparkle's Seven explores 'em in a completely new way: strong forethought. He not only rightfully predicted Rarity's plan will fail, but also Twilight's and SA's. All they needed to do was play it out, let SA catch Twi off-guard, and then *snaps fingers* capitalize. He won the Hard-Won Helm of the Sibling Supreme fair and square. Kudos to both SA and Twilight for acknowledging them as their little bro all along. But give credit to Luna, too. From a storytelling perspective, her little disagreement with Celestia fueled the spy parody that Tabitha St. Germain suggested. Her tiny shots and glares at her sister foreshadowed the climax and smoothly tied into both Twilight's rivalry and Spike's plight. Celestia's decision to ignore her justified her reasons to behave sourly made sense and gave her a solid alibi to help corrupt their flawed security system. By one-upping her older sister, she won well-earned bragging rights herself. The Miscellaneous Typically great episodes offer more than simply the story. Little details, smaller jokes, and intentional subtexts increase layers and replay value, giving viewers a reason to rewatch it either now or in the future. Beyond the dazed bird example… This whole episode is a parody of spy film, mostly inspired Ocean's 11, a classic film remade twice. According to Applegeek, Kaperon TSB, and @Justin_Case001, there are several references to not only Ocean's 11, but other spy and action films at large. Rarity's "unexpected" speech parodies George Clooney's "The house always wins" speech from the 2001 remake. Credit to Justin Case for finding this. DHX recreated this classic Ocean's 11 poster. After Shining tells his sis of all the security measure, Twilight uses mathematics to figure out how to break through, parodying a moment from the blackjack scene during The Hangover. Credit to Kaperon for discovering that. Luna stroking the goose satires the Bond-villain-strokes-the-cat cliché, and like Applegeek himself, I have a good hunch the goose (with his pink, skin-toned feathers) is supposed to resemble Dr. Evil's sphinx from Austin Powers (another Bond parody). This episode is also one subtle, yet gigantic, parody of itself, a great catch by @CloudMistDragon. FIM doesn't shy away from admitting how predictable their stories are sometimes. Whether your enjoyment of the product is determined by that is up to you. (Nowadays I rarely ding it for this, as the journey factors more.) Shining Armor accurately predicts her whole plan, is prepared for any other unpredictable folly by them, expects them to put their plan into action, and lures them into the Throne Room until the last minute. This self-deprecation is easily the smartest showcase of Shining's experience with security and wits. Simultaneously, it winks at those in the fandom who use the "predictability" card through Rarity's and Twilight's plans without being condescending. Was her plan unpredictable, yet in character of everyone? 100%. But Plan B had many major problems, notably inexperience and lack of cooperation. OTOH, Twilight's plan, while predictable, was well thought-out and highly tailored to their talents, cleverly commentating how a well-crafted, predictable story is more valuable than an unpredictable one. Ironically, this allegory subtly foreshadowed the unpredictable plot twist. Nice swerve, DHX. Very clever use of time is shown through the flashback. Back then, the family's Hard-Won Helm was shiny and new. Today, it's cracked, dented, and busted. Listen very carefully when Spike dons it; there's a small ruffling sound to further indicate its worn-out condition. Methinks SA enjoyed it a little too much, eh? During her heated argument with RD, Rarity stopped briefly to say "hi" to Spike and continued her diatribe, stopping after completely realizing who's there. (BTW, I haven't watched any of the Ocean's 11 films, Hangover series, or Mission: Impossible series. So I had to get the references from elsewhere. Nevertheless, ain't that tantamount to its high quality: not fully getting the references, yet finding it all funny, nonetheless?) Conclusion. So much describes this new classic. The characters are perfectly in character, including Zephyr (who's actually funny). Every joke lands perfectly, and is sometimes funnier on rewatches, with my favorite being Dash begrudgingly dressing in style. It got serious at times, rounding its story without becoming melodramatic and maintaining its lightheartedness. Several stories are simultaneously intertwined flawlessly, including its satire of spy films, itself, and allegory. On top of it all, its moral on listening to your loved ones and making sure they don't feel left out is executed so well. How awesome it really is to see Spike treated with so much dignity once again. Regardless of all of Season 6's well-earned criticism, Spike's writing was top-notch. Thank Haber for partially why. Whenever he's the editor or writer, this small dragon gets the respect he deserves. Thanks to Weseluck, Sparkle's Seven addresses a series-long concern related to his family and provides a solid alibi to craft a devious deed to win the game. If it doesn't prove how far he's come since Princess Spike, I don't know what will. He gets Spike, period. But don't leave Dubuc hanging, either. She co-wrote the ingenious Shadow Play with him. Sparkle's Seven continues to show how well they work as a team, and the former's inspirations clue us all. Its top-notch dialogue, successfully multi-layered stories, and brilliant executions from top on down are all found here. And finally, thank you to all the voice actors who stayed with this show for so long. You all dedicated so much of your time to building FIM's success, and your voices are iconic to the very same characters. It's so fitting to have the 200th episode dedicated to you, and watching it was a huge honor. Thank you, all, for contributing to this all-time great and show that commenced western animation's renaissance.
  9. Chapter 1: A Simple Request It was a very calm and beautiful day in the village of Ponyville, and everypony was out and about and doing the best they could to make the most of the time they had throughout the day. One pony, however, was still having a very sleepy start. His name was Lee, a brown pegasus pony who had a mixture of red and black in his mane and tail, and was also the latest pony to move into Ponyville, evidenced by the boxes dotted around the house. As Lee continued to sleep peacefully, he was suddenly awoken by the sound of his doorbell ringing and somepony knocking on his door. Lee slowly raised his head to listen to the sounds more clearly and groaned as he decided to roll out of bed to answer the door. "Be right there" he said, while yawning and stretching out his still tired muscles. He opened the door and greeted the bright sun that blasted his eyes with sunlight. "Yeah, can I help y-" Lee was interrupted when he realized that there were two royal soldiers, clad in armor, stood before him. Confused and uncertain on their sudden appearance, Lee simply said nothing and waited for one of the soldiers to speak. The light-furred pony cleared his throat and spoke first, magically making a scroll appear and unrolling it to read it to Lee. "Mister Lee, you are hereby requested by the Princesses of Equestria, Celestia and Luna respectively, to appear before them in the royal castle of Canterlot at once. They await your presence in the royal throne room and request that you come within the hour" Lee could say nothing to the words he just heard at first. After a bit, he managed to muster a question to the soldiers. "Okay, that sounds... great and everything, but what do the princesses want to see ME for?" The dark furred pony then spoke and answered his question. "We do not know. We were simply ordered to deliver this message to you, nothing more. But I am certain that all will be answered once the princesses have spoken to you. Nonetheless, do we and the princesses have your word that you'll be at Canterlot within the hour?" Lee simple looked to the ground and pondered about what he should do. He has never met the princesses in person, and has never given a reason to speak with them either, so why do they wish to speak with him now? Is there more to this meeting than meets the eye? Lee decided the only way to answer these questions was to speak with them about it. "Alright, I'll be there. I just give me some time to... get ready. Is that alright?" "Very well. We shall tell the princesses to expect you and we implore you not to be late for this meeting" Both ponies bowed to Lee and quickly flew off and back towards Canterlot. Lee watched as the soldiers flew off and glanced towards the castle for a minute, wondering what he should do to prepare for this meeting. Lee then trotted off towards town when he came up with an idea and decided to consult an "expert" on this situation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lee came to the foot of a grand and very crystalline looking castle and knocked on the large doors in front of him. The first thing he heard when he knocked was the sound of something hitting the floor hard and somepony answering loudly. "Just a moment. Be right there!" Lee stood at the door for another minute, impatiently wondering if the pony inside was ever going to answer the door. He was ready to knock again when the door opened and a purple alicorn pony, known as Princess Twilight Sparkle to many ponies, stood before him smiling and struggling to catch her breath at the same time. "So sorry about the wait. I literally had a million other things to do at once and just needed time to tidy up. Heh heh, anyway, can I help you?" "Yes, you're Princess Twilight right? My name's Lee and I was wondering if I could ask you something?" "Hmm, Lee? I don't think I recognize your name. Are you new in town?" "Yeah, I just moved in about a week ago actually and this is a very nice town, very peaceful and tranquil... b-but enough about that. I was actually hoping you could help me with a 'situation' that I'm having" "Of course, I'd be glad to help you out. Go ahead and tell me what's troubling you." "Well you see, I just got this... summons from the princesses up at Canterlot and they said that they wish to speak with me in person within the hour. I was wondering, since you're a princess as well and all, that you could-" Lee was interrupted when he saw that Twilight had sort of frozen in place and that her jaw was hanging down, which confused Lee. " W-wait, y-you've been summoned by Princess Celestia and Luna?! What in the name of Equestria could they want? Is everything okay with them?" Twilight started pacing around and talking to herself, which only made Lee panic as he tried to calm her down. "L-look, all I know is that they want to talk to me, that's all. I was just hoping you could help me by... I don't know helping me talk with them" Twilight calmed down and looked at Lee and suddenly a nervous smile appeared on her face. "Oh, heh, right. I figured it was something simple as that, how silly of me to think otherwise. In any case, I'd be glad to assist you and, if you want, I'd even be willing to accompany you to the castle if that would help you feel better" "Wow, you'd do that for me? Well, it would definitely help to have some company while I talk with them. Thank you Princess Twilight." "Oh no worries, it's no trouble at all. Besides, I'm sure that it'll be fun to help you out and maybe I could even talk with them myself! Just give me a minute to get ready!" Twilight rushed back inside and started gathering important items and putting them in her bags. Lee noticed that Twilight was talking to herself again and stumbled around a lot as she rushed about, but this only made Lee smile at her strange behavior. "Okay, I think I have everything I need. We should get going if you don't want to be late" "Right, let's go" Lee and Twilight flew off and soared through the endless sea of clouds as they made their way towards the royal castle of Canterlot. As the two of them were flying, Lee noticed a bunch of other pegasus ponies flying by or relaxing on the clouds, with a couple of them waving at Lee and smiling happily at him, which he happily returned. Twilight called to Lee and turned his attention to her. "Alright Lee, before we get to the castle, we should practice how you should speak to the princesses. Now tell me, how would you greet them? Your highnesses or your majesties?" "Uhh, hello princesses?" Twilight stopped dead in her tracks and faced Lee. "What?! Are you crazy?! They'll throw you into the darkest dungeon they can find for speaking so informally to them!" Twilight stopped talking when she noticed the sheer dread and nervousness in Lee's expression. She laughed nervously and stepped back from him. "Heh heh, I'm so sorry Lee. I didn't mean to frighten you" Lee sighed as they continued flying towards the castle. "I don't know if I can do this, Twilight. You and I both know that I don't belong in a place like Canterlot and I'm afraid that the princesses just... won't like me." "Oh, that's nonsense Lee. You got nothing to be afraid of, and I know Celestia and Luna like and care for everypony, so I'm certain you'll be no different. The most important thing to remember is to just be yourself... and not getting yourself thrown into the previously mentioned darkest dungeon" Twilight laughed nervously once more, which only made Lee more nervous. "Heh, I'll keep that in mind" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lee and Twilight finally reached Canterlot and landed next to the front gates. As Lee and Twilight approached the gates, two guards barred their way and looked down at the two of them. "Princess Twilight, how wonderful to see you again. Hmm, I don't recognize this stranger next to you, however. State your name and business here at once!" Lee cleared his throat to speak. "My name's Lee and I'm here to speak with the princesses." The two guards looked Lee over and then looked at each other... only to begin laughing. Lee was confused as to why they were laughing. "Y-you?! Well, unless you're here to apply for the court jester, I can't possibly see what they would want with YOU." The guards continued laughing until Twilight stepped forward and stood between Lee and the guards. "Hey, that's enough out of you two! He's my friend and my guest and I won't have you two making fun of him, I sure won't. Now, please apologize to my friend and let us through, or I will personally tell Celestia how poorly mannered you two are being. We'll see just how 'funny' she finds this." Twilight glared at the two guards and they quickly and nervously stood aside to let them through. "W-we apologize for our behavior, Mister Lee. Please head on inside and have a wonderful day! "That's what I thought. Come on Lee, let's not keep Celestia and Luna waiting" Lee and Twilight passed the guards and the gates and made their way inside. The entrance hall was a very busy and bustling area, with many dignified ponies dressed in formal attire going to all sorts of meetings and business arrangements. Twilight made her way to a waiting area off to the side of the hall and sat down on the couch. "Alright Lee, I think its best if you talk with Celestia and Luna alone. I'm sure they'll have a lot to discuss with you in private." "You sure I should go in alone? I really don't know what I should say to them." "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Just remember what I said: Be yourself. You do that and everything will be okay, I promise." "Right... Thank you Twilight. Now, can you tell me how I find the throne room?" "Oh, that's easy. You just take the main hall here, then you take a left, then a right and then take another right and it'll be the third door on the right side. The door will have a big sun painted around it so it should be easy to find. Anyway, you should get going, but don't worry, I'll be here when you're finished and you can tell me all about it." "Uhh, right. I'll see you later then" Lee made his way down the hall and came to an intersection, only to be confused by which way he should go, especially with Twilight's vague directions being of no help. He then decided to just keep going forward. After walking the halls for sometime, and passing by other ponies who were whispering things to themselves as they passed Lee, he simply stopped and became worried that he wouldn't make it to his meeting in time. "Man, how am I supposed to find anything in this castle without a map? I'm gonna be late and who knows what the princesses will do if I am" As Lee wondered where to go, he started hearing voices around him but nopony appeared to be around him. "Be careful with those books, sister. We need to get them to library as quickly as possible." "Well, it'd be easier if you helped me carry some of them. My back is killing me." Suddenly, Lee fell to the floor as something hard struck him in the head, making him hold his head in pain. Two tall ponies then dropped to the floor, one with white fur and the other with dark fur, and looked at Lee with concern. "Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to drop that book on your head, honest I didn't!" Lee looked at the dark-furred pony, who had a very blue and starry mane, before him and quickly stood back up and retrieved the book. "Ah, it's okay. I should've worn a helmet is all. But I'm fine, don't worry about it." The white-furred pony beside her stepped forward and approached him, with her long and multi-colored mane blowing in the breeze. "Please forgive my sister's incident. We were simply taking these books to the library so that they'll be kept in better condition." "It's okay, no worries really. I was just trying to find my way to a meeting and I got turned around I guess." "Oh, are you lost? Well, the least we can do to make it up to you is help you find your way around. Where is this meeting supposed to be?" The white-furred pony asked politely. "I'm supposed to go to the royal throne room. You see, I'm supposed to be meeting with Princess Celestia and Luna and I'd hate to be late for such an important meeting" The two sisters then looked at each other for a second and smiled, which only confused Lee. "I suspect that they aren't far" Both of them laughed and Lee remained confused as to what was going on. And then, after a moment more of confusion, he finally realized what they meant. "W-wait a minute... What? You two are..." "Princess Celestia" The white-furred pony bowed her head. "And Princess Luna" The dark-furred pony didn't bow, however, due to the weight of the books that still occupied her back. Lee immediately bowed to them and nervously started panicking. "O-oh, p-princesses, please forgive my stupidity for not knowing who you are. I am so sorry." Celestia laughed as she looked at Lee with concern once more, trying to ease his worries. "No need to worry, heh heh besides, we should be ones apologizing to you for dropping a book on your head. You are Lee, correct? We have been expecting you, and we're so happy to finally meet you in person." Luna struggled with the books and found it difficult to speak. "Y-yes quite excited, but there is an important matter we wish to discuss with you and I recommend we go at once before my legs lose feeling. May we please?" "Of course, sister. Follow us if you would please, Lee" Celestia led the way as the three of them walked down the halls, with Lee noticing all the other ponies around him whispering and wondering why he was with Celestia and Luna. Lee then turned his attention to Princess Luna, who continued to struggle carrying the books on her back and Lee decided to help her out. "Umm, Princess Luna, I can carry some of those books for you if you want." "Oh, would you? That's so kind of you to ask, thank you. Thank you very much, Lee" Luna levitated half of the books off of her back and placed them on Lee's. The removed weight helped Luna stand up straight once more and helped her feel less in pain. "Oh, that feels so much better. Thank you for helping me Lee, I really do appreciate it. As you can probably tell, my sister here isn't too fond of heavy lifting." "Preposterous, dear sister. I'll have you know earlier today I carried a whole chocolate cake into the dining room" "Yes, which you then proceeded to devour within the hour of arrival" The two sisters laughed together, with Lee nervously smiling along with them, as he was still unsure as to why they wanted to speak with him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lee and the princesses entered a room with the words 'Library' written above the door. The three of them entered and Celestia closed the door behind them. It was a darkly lit room with many rows of bookshelves, a desk in the corner and a large window which overlooked the courtyard below. "Wait, why are we in the library? I thought we'd be meeting in the throne room" "Well, we thought this would be a more... casual spot to speak and where we could also speak with you without interruptions." Celestia pulled up a chair and asked Lee to sit down, which he did. "I'll go get us some food in case we get hungry. Luna, will you stay and keep him company while I'm gone?" "Of course, sister. I have to put these books away anyway, so we'll be here when you return." Celestia left the room and Luna started placing books on the shelf, which Lee helped with. "So Lee, since we have a moment to talk, tell me about yourself." "Me? Well, there's not much to tell to be honest. I've been in Ponyville for a week, don't really have any friends yet, and... I don't know, I like taking naps and walking the streets. That's all I can think of really, sorry." "Quite alright. Heh heh, I also like taking naps, since you know, I can't really sleep during the night. But what of your family? Surely you have some right?" Lee immediately stopped what he was doing and stared blankly into space. "Uhh... right. My... family" Thankfully, Celestia reentered the room before Lee could finish his sentence. Celestia sat a tray with a steaming tea kettle and several slices of donut cake on the desk and filled three teacups with the freshly brewed and still sizzling tea. Lee sat down at the desk once more and Luna stood behind him as she sipped her tea and took a bite out of her cake. Celestia slid a teacup and a piece of cake towards Lee, but he didn't touch it and simply stared at his own reflection in the tea, making Luna look at Lee with concern. "Aren't you going to eat, Lee? You must be hungry" "I'm sorry princesses, I don't mean to be rude, but could one of you tell why I'm here please?" Celestia sipped her tea and calmly sat it back down and paced the room. "Very well. Hmm, where to begin?" Luna spoke first before Celestia could begin. "The reason we summoned you here is because we were hoping you could help us with a certain... well lets say project shall we?" "Project? What project?" Lee asked. "Well, the other day, me and Luna were discussing whether or not we were doing an adequate job of being princesses and the protectors of Equestria. And then I wondered: Is there a way to know for sure?" "Yes, and then an idea came to me. What if we hired somepony to study our meetings and our duties and have them see if we were doing things right. Celestia and I could then learn from their point of view and see how we could improve upon the results." "But then we realized, it couldn't be just anypony, especially anypony who are like the dignitary and important ponies who roam this castle everyday. So I and Luna decided to hire somepony who has never interacted with us before. And that's where you came into the picture." "We looked at the records for Ponyville and saw that you were the latest pony to move in. You were a perfect fit." "So now, here we are, and all we have is a simple question for you: Will you help us?" Celestia and Luna both stood before him now and waited for him to answer. Lee took a moment to take all this information in and just sat speechless. "O-okay hold on, let me get this straight: You want me to "study" you two... to see if you're doing a good job at being princesses?" "Yes, exactly. You would be our personal guest and you would travel with us to wherever we go in the castle. You'd get your own personal room here in the castle and we'll both make sure everything stays well for your stay here." Luna answered. "But I don't get it. Why me? I'm a nobody and I don't know anything about the two of you. How in the world am I supposed to do this if I don't know what I'm doing?" "Lee, that's exactly why we chose you. There's nothing more concrete than the perspective of somepony who is simply... normal. You're not learning from us, we'd be learning from you and your experiences" Celestia assured him by nodding her head in agreement. Luna then stepped forward and placed a hoof to his side. "Lee, listen to me. If this is too much for you, just say the word and we'll call this whole thing off. There will be no grief from us if you do, we promise. Right sister?" "Of course. We will understand if you choose to say no" Lee looked to the floor and pondered on what he should do. He knew that he knew nothing about Celestia and Luna nor do they know anything about, but at the same time, couldn't bring himself to deny their request. Maybe he could indeed learn something from this job and find some enjoyment out of it by interacting with the princesses. "Alright... I do it. You can count on me" Celestia and Luna both smiled happily and both shook hooves with Lee. "Thank you Lee! Thank you for agreeing to do this for us. And don't you worry, we promise that this will all go smoothly" "Thank you both for offering me this opportunity, princesses." Lee bowed to them once more, only for Luna to tell him that he didn't need to do that anymore. "No need to be so formal with us anymore. We're going to be spending a lot of time together and we want you to be comfortable around us, so no more bowing and please call us by our names, okay?" Lee laughed as he looked at the two of them again. "Very well... Luna, Celestia." "Now that were done, we'll bring you back to the entrance hall and bid you farewell. Please return to castle tomorrow morning and we'll both be waiting for you in the dining hall" "I'll be here. You have my word" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The three of them returned to the entrance hall and Lee noticed that Twilight was still sitting on the couch in the waiting room... at least that's what it looked like to Lee. Upon closer inspection, Lee saw that Twilight was actually sound asleep now, complete with her sprawled out on the couch, snoring loudly and drooling onto the carpet. "Oh, Twilight's still here? I thought she would have gone back by now. How long was that meeting?" Luna consulted the clock on the wall behind her. "About two hours. She must have fallen asleep while she was waiting for you" "Heh heh, did you come here with her? I'm not surprised she decided to accompany you given the circumstances." Celestia laughed a little as she moved over to Twilight and shook her softly to make her wake up. Twilight snorted a second before she opened her eyes and bolted out of the couch to face Lee, who was standing next to her. "Oh, hey Lee. I was wondering when you were going to be done, but I just closed my eyes a bit, I swear. So tell me, how did your meeting with Celestia and Luna go?" Celestia stepped forward, making Twilight immediately bow on the spot. "I'd say it went very well. Lee here has just agreed to stay here in the castle with us and assist us with our duties." Twilight jumped about gleefully at the news and looked at Lee. "Oh wow, that's wonderful to hear, Lee. And here I was worried they were going to throw you into the darkest dungeon they could find." Twilight opened her eyes and looked around the room and saw nothing but horrified/confused looks aimed at her. "Heh heh, oh look is that the time? I should really get going" Twilight quickly rushed out the door and flew off into the skies. Celestia sighed as she saw Twilight leave. "Twilight's always the one to jump to conclusions. You didn't honestly think we would do something so horrible, did you?" she asked. "Uhh, no of course not. Heh heh" "Well, this is where we say goodbye, Lee. Remember to be here early tomorrow and to meet us in the dining hall. We really look forward to working with you" "Goodbye Lee and thank you again helping us out. I and Luna can't wait to see you tomorrow and help you settle in" Celestia then smiled happily. "Yeah, and I look forward to it as well. I'll see you two tomorrow, I guess" Lee shook hooves with Celestia and Luna one more time before they waved goodbye to him and Lee turned to the gates to leave. Lee breathed in the fresh air and looked back at the castle he was about to become a temporary occupant of. "Well, hope I don't disappoint. This'll be... interesting to say the least" Lee flew off into the clouds and back to his house, uncertain of the events that were about to unfold... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A/N: Well, it's finally done. My first MLP fanfic and its all about Celestia and Luna of course. Hope everypony enjoys reading it and I hope you let me know what you think of it.
  10. Okay, first im some months without make this kind of art, because take much time, but im very excited to back and bring this again I really need all the feedback to improve my arts, and if are good what i should do next?
  11. In other words, could certain questions finally get answed , and certain theroies be put to rest. Well, with any kind of closuer on a franchise, the finale always seems to (at most times) open the doors to allow the writers to get a lot of stuff out of their system for themselves and for at most, the fans. But will the final season of MLP : FIM do that as well? Here I talk about what could be finally addressed, if that is the case. Now one of the first things that they (the writers) could finally address, is the whole Spike x Rarity situation. What I mean is, that if the writers choose to do so (IMO I believe they will), this will finally be addressed, and the outcome will be one that is a positive one, and yet be one that not a lot of the brony/pegasister community will agree on. And what the outcome will be, Spike and Rarity together. You may ask "How?" Well, it's quite simple, if you look at the fact, that they've been teasing this since Eps. 1, and throughout the show's run, they've had several episodes centered around Spike, that have also involved Rarity in some major/minor capacity, and with it being the final season of the show, like I mentioned at the beginning at the start, it opens the door for this to take place. And the reason being is, unless the series finale somehow ties into G5 and G5 becomes a soft Retcon/Reboot of FIM, then (IMO) this Spike x Rarity Deal will finally become a reality. 2. A Sugar Belle and Big Mac wedding will most likely happen. The reason being is the fact that this could be looked at as a 3 chapter deal, with the first happening in S7 , and So it only makes sense to tie this trifecta up with a 3rd and final chapter happening in the final season, which would culminate with a wedding between Sugar and BIg. Heck, for emotional sake, have the spirts of AJ, AppleBloom and Big Mac's parents appear to show their love and support, and thus have the kids and Sugar Belle seem as well. 3. Finally Addressing Celestria and Luna's orgins. Yes, before the show comes to a close, this has to be addressed, especially after giving them some moments to shine, first in the Premiere of S6 and most recently, not once but twice in S7, and This is something that finally needs to be addressed and I believe (IMO) that the writing staff of FIM will finally do so in the final season. Espiecally with the fact, that if you go back to the S6 Premiere, they both said, "That the birth of an Alicorn, is something Equestria has never seen", and that it was "Even beyond their understanding." Yeah, when they both said those things, that was enough of red flag, and more of a legit reasoning to wanna know about their orgins. 4. Starlight Glimmer becoming an Alicorn? Yes, indeed, this is most likely the direction they are heading, and if S9 is it for the show, definitely expect the writing staff to go this route. And, why?, you may ask. Because it seems that's what they building towards with her. (at least in my IMO), and would make sense that they writing staff make this a reality. 5. Sunset Shimmer Returns! , and the recent "Mirror Magic" EQG special, she has never returned to Equestria on the "Friendship is Magic" side of things. So with the final season, I truly believe and hope, (like many do) that this will be the season that it finally happens. And all honesty, I feel the writing staff knows that as well and will make it happen. 6. I believe that a G1 character has to be brought in, with a G4/FIM update, and that character should Majesty. And if you want a reason why, well if you watch MLP-Silver Quill's and ILOVEKPALOT's Video they did on Villains in MLP, than you pretty much get your answer there, as to why she should be brought in. Basically make her a character, that believes she's doing the right thing, but in fact is not. Or as Silver Quill put it, make her a rogue element that believes that all villainy, even those that have been redeemed, should be disposed of. Than the writers can build towards something between her and Twilight, and at same time, they could acknowledge a history between Celestria, Luna and Majesty as well, and that could really build the tension between her and Twilight. But that's what I (IMO) feel the writers will/would do in the final season, should it be more freelanced. What are your thoughts? God Bless!
  12. Do you think Princess Celestia has a weight scale? Or did she did she used to have one, but had it destroyed, over it showing her to be too heavy?
  13. What if Princess Celestia caused an earthquake every time she sat down? Knowing much cake Princess Celestia eats, I think it could happen.
  14. Good day everypony! I thought it would be fun to take the day off and take time to answer any questions anypony might have! I'll be sure to answer them as best as I can, and hopefully we can have a fun learning experience!
  15. WIth the surprise reviews of the new Bumblebee Movie(Currently standing at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes), I actually thought about a Princess Celestia Live Action movie focused on the Princess of the Sun. But unlike the source material, this is less saccharine and more serious. The movie title will be called Celestia. The characters are.... Princess Celestia(Ideal actor: Nicole Oliver) Princess Luna(Ideal Actor: Tabitha St Germain) Queen Chrysalis(Ideal Actor: Kathleen Barr) Thorax(Ideal Actor: Kyle Rideout) Pharynx(Ideal Actor: Bill Newton) Megan Williams(No idea on who should play her) Jack Williams(Ideal Actor: Hugh Jackman) Optimus Prime(Ideal Actor: Peter Cullen) The story starts out in Equestria. Princess Celestia is running away from a Changeling invasion by the request of her sister Princess Luna. She is badly injured from the attacks by the Changeling Hive. Deep within the forest, Celestia discovers a cavern that contains a mysterious portal. Without a second thought, she jumps on in, hoping to evade her pursuers. She appears on Planet Earth, still as the Alicorn she started out as. But her injuries have left her tired. She struggles to get forward and decides to rest for a bit, hoping to heal up her wounds. As she did, she met a human girl named Megan Williams. Megan realized that Celestia was sentient like her, but was also badly hurt. She helped Celestia get up and took her to her home, allowing her to rest in a nearby barn. Her father is Jack Williams, a veterinarian who also owns an Animal Sanctuary, looking after those who need it. He barely talks with his daughter, and sometimes snaps at her in anger. Despite his problems, he is not a bad man, nor does he even drink booze. One day, Jack discovers Megan tending to Celestia. At first, Jack was upset over Megan hiding this from him. But his concern was more towards Celestia's well-being than to scolding his daughter. With a little help, Jack was able to patch up Celestia and allow her to rest in his barn. Though he criticized his daughter for not telling him about Celestia's presence, he began to understand why she kept her from him. For a month, Jack and Megan looked after Celestia in hopes of nursing the Princess in exile back to full health. It is discovered that long ago, Jack once had a wife named Amanda Williams(Who would be played by Nicole Oliver). Months ago, Jack lost his wife to cancer, and despite making a promise to look after Megan, the loss of Amanda left Jack a broken man. Through helping take care of Celestia for Megan, Jack admits that Celestia reminds him of his late wife. BAck in Equestria, Queen Chrysalis has managed to take over the kingdom. But she is upset that she doesn't have Princess Celestia or Princess Luna as her captive. When Thorax makes a suggestion to Chrysalis, the Changeling Queen grabs him by the tail and tosses him aside. Later on, Thorax and his brother Pharynx discover a portal in the same area that Celestia disappeared into. Thorax reported the findings to Chrysalis, only for the queen to instead commend his brother for the action and to simply ignore Thorax. Back on Earth, Jack and Megan show Celestia the Animal Sanctuary that they and the late Amanda built. Its purpose was to allow animals who were harmed by man's own devices to have a place to call home. It is there that Jack looks after them with help from Megan. He also admits that some humans eat meat in addition to vegetables that equines like Celestia eats. But Jack and Megan are vegetarians. They invite Celestia inside and allow them to have a meal together. It looked like Celestia was finding a new lease on life. But one night, Celestia had a nightmare of seeing her people being tormented by Chrysalis. So the next morning, Celestia told Jack and Megan that she had to do a little soul searching and took off. Jack wished her the best of luck before going back to look after the animals with Megan. Celestia found a spot nearby to reflect on the events that transpired. As she did, she would meet up with another strange from another world: Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots. The two would share a chat together on their own conflicts. Celestia has to deal with the confrontation of saving her people from Chrysalis, while Optimus still has to help protect his Autobots from the Decepticons. The two realize they may have more in common than they realize. At Jack's house, Jack and Megan are confronted by agents of Sector 7, demanding the whereabouts of a rogue horse with wings. Jack tried to deny any wrong doings. But he realized that these aren't Sector 7 agents. They're changelings, and Queen Chrysalis is leading the group. Chrysalis orders her hive to tie up the father/daughter duo and use them for bait to lure out Celestia. At the same time, Celestia began to detect Chrysalis' presence and knew the Williams were in trouble. Optimus encouraged Celestia to go rescue them, and mentions that this is her fight. Celestia thanks Optimus and takes off for the Williams home. Back at the home, Chrysalis berates Thorax again, tossing him at Jack Williams and mentions how worthless he is regardless of his loyalty. This makes Pharynx question his loyalty to Chrysalis. But as the Changeling Queen mentions that no one will be able to save Jack or Megan, Celestia shows up just in time. She uses her magic to free Jack and Megan from their bonds. Chrysalis fights Celestia, hoping to use her as a means of causing all of Equestria to submit to her. Jack and Megan fend off the Changeling swarm. But to their surprise, Thorax and Pharynx takes sides with them and turn against their own brothers and sisters. Phyarynx cares more about his brother Thorax than his Queen. Thorax, burnt out by Queen Chrysalis' ultimate disapproval of him, decided to join his brother. The fight is taken outside where Celestia, Jack, Megan, Thorax and Pharynx battle Chrysalis and her hive. But during the fight, Chrysalis creates a cloud of black smoke to surround everyone, and target Jack Williams. Disguised as Jack's late wife Amanda, Chrysalis attempts to seduce Jack and take advantage of him missing his wife. Jack was tempted at first. But the choice of words by Chrysalis allowed Jack to snap out of it and finally put his past behind him. Chrysalis changes back and attacks Jack, only to be countered by Celestia. The Princess of the Sun held nothing back in fighting Chrysalis, with the rest of the hive knocked out of comission. Jack, Megan, Thorax and Pharynx would also help Celestia beat back Chrysalis. As Chrysalis was on the verge of losing and began to resort to dirty tricks, Princess Luna shows up out of nowhere, having followed Chrysalis to Earth. Chrysalis recognizes Luna and begins to attack, only for the Princess of the Night to transform into Nightmare Moon She uses a Nightmare attack to break Chrysalis' spirit and leave her in complete fear, thus ending her rule in Equestria. Celestia was glad to reunite with her own sister Luna. Luna admits that had something bad happened to her big sister, she would have went mad, and no force in Equestria or Earth would be able to stop. The two would share a bond together with Jack sharing a bond with Megan, and Thorax with Pharynx. Later that day, Jack and Megan said good-bye to Celestia and Luna as they departed with the captured Chrysalis and her Changeling hive. Celestia promises that Jack and Megan will be welcomed in Equestria. But despite getting a pardon from Celestia, Thorax and Pharynx chose to stay behind, fearing that no pony in Equestria would appreciate a Changeling in their midst. Jack and Megan hired them to help out with the Animal Sanctuary. They even take up human forms to fit in. Celestia and Luna return home to Equestria, hailed as heroes for stopping Chrysalis. Though Celestia admits....she does miss her time on Earth, and hopes to return there again one day. The story ends with Optimus Prime narrating the new lease on life that Jack and Megan are now going through, and wishes them a bright future.
  16. Do you think Princess Luna is more popular than Princess Celestia in the eyes of the ponies of Equestria? I think that Princess Luna could be more popular than Princess Celestia due to the fact that ponies still sacrifice their candy to Nightmare Moon even though it's been at least a couple of years since Princess Luna's return*. *My argument isn't very good.
  17. After seeing how kind and sweet and caring she is for everypony, especially her sister, it makes me sad to see somepony so amazing as Luna and have something so terrible and tragic happen to her. All because of a misplaced jealousy towards Celestia and the sun.
  18. Basically what the thread title says, what would be your reaction if Celestia was sleeping in your bed one day? :3 Pretty random I know but it's funny seeing your answers.
  19. Could the world's strongest man lift the big and mighty Princess Celestia? Or has Princess Celestia been sitting around doing nothing for so long while stuffing herself with fattening cake that not even the world's strongest human could lift her?
  20. The fact that she held a Gala specifically so Twilight and her friends could ruin it is always hilarious
  21. Why do people seem to forget that Celestia banished Nightmare Moon in the moon an didn't actually banish Luna. And in the pilot it says she reluctantly wielded the elements to banish Nightmare Moon Whats up with all the Celestia hate? People seem to think Celestia did it in spite or because of the whole I'm the older sister stuff. If you dislike Celestia explain why or If she your favourite Princess explain why.
  22. Could one of you lift the mighty sunhorse? Or is thousands of years of eating fattening cake too much?
  23. I mean, if you look at the first half of this season, you have episodes that center around that in some way, (Horse Play), (Non-Compete Clause), (The Maud Couple), (Fake it, Till You Make It), (The Parent Map), and recently the Mid-Season Finale (The Mean 6). If those and what's to come in the 2nd half , if that doesn't show you that this season is about really testing their friendship and learning to accept each other for who they are and what they like and dislike, then I don't know what does. I also won't be surprised, (because IMO it seems to be possibly leading to this), that the School remains open as it is, but that Twilight and her Friends decide to step down as the staff of the school, because they'll come to realize that even though the idea for the school is a good one, that after everything they've gone through this past season, and the strong tests that their Friendship has had to endure, that they themselves still have a lot to learn about Friendship, and that also balancing their other priorities along with being teachers, isn't working out for them, and possibly hand off the teaching duties to those that they know can handle it and balance the time to do it. Or they can change it up a bit, to where School only is open maybe 2-3 times a week, and thus the rest of the week they can focus on strengthing their friendship with each other, and focus on their other priorities outside of teaching. And yes, in the end this will lead to a possibly Neighsay redemption at the end of the season. But what do you guys all think? Comments are Welcomed.
  24. Ever since his debut in this Season 8's premire "School Daze", and with what was previewed at SDCC in the trailer for the 2nd half of Season 8. The Question everyone/everybony/everypegasister has is, "WHAT'S HIS PROBLEM?" "WHAT'S HIS BACKSTORY TO MAKE HIM LIKE THIS? Well here, I try my best to figure that out and answer that question. Comments are Welcomed
  25. With "Rollercoaster of Friendship" recently airing, the redemption at the end of Vignette Valencia, has gotten everyone talking again about how redemption should be utilized in both shows, when it comes to redeeming certain characters. And apparently Vignette's didn't sit well with a majority of the fans. And from what I understand, is for good reason, 1. the way she was portrayed throughout most of the special, seem to not really warrant a redemption or for fans to feel sympathy for her. And 2. Her actions spoke and showed that she's a character that needs more development before a proper redemption. But here's the thing, the writers/creative staff, they may write a good to great story for an episode/Special/Movie for EQG or FIM, but at the end of the day, they don't have the final say on how it's presented, Those above them at Hasbro, and DHX have the final say. Don't believe me, ask M.A Larson, he discussed this during a panel last year, when it came to how "Fame and Misfortune" was presented. For example, if it's decided that Cozy Glow gets redeemed at the end of this current season, despite what she has and will do, that's going to happen. If it's decided that Principal Cinch or Finch in Friendship Games gets redeemed in a future EQG Movie/Special, despite what she's done, it's going to happen. Same can be said for Cryissy, Triek, Lighting Dust, Wynn Rider, etc.... The point is, wither we as fans or the creative staff themselves feel a redemption should happen or not, in the end, it's the heads at Hasbro and DHX that have the final say on that decision. A good outside example of this, is WWE, and how despite everyone telling them otherwise, Roman Reigns is still getting pushed down all the fans throats, and getting a possibly rematch at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam event against Brock Lesnar for their Universal Title. And why is this happening, despite everyone outside and inside WWE saying otherwise, because at the end of the day, despite being able to book and write a good show, the creative staff don't have the final say on who should be pushed, Vince McMahon does. And in a strange way, the same can be said here. Because again, even if the fans and even the creative staff believe a redemption is needed or not, they don't have the last word, those above them at Hasbro and DHX have the final say. Anyway, that's all I have to say about that, let me know what you think about what I had to say here. Take Care and God Bless.
