  1. Personally, mine is spelling. I'm fine with typos, though, because everyone has those once in a while. I mean things like misspelling "maroon" as "moron". Yes, it's happened. EDIT: I realized I made a spelling error when I typed this post, whoops.
  2. Whenever I write Applejack's dialogue, I usually write with standard spelling, instead of the "Ah"s and other dialect-like spellings typical of any fanfics about her. To me, it not only looks nice, but I also prefer the reader to imagine AJ speaking, because I am sure that they already knew that AJ speaks in a country accent, making the accent-ised spelling unnecessary. What do you think? Do you think that this is fine (relying on existing info and imagination), or is it better to use a dialectal spelling to reflect AJ's voice better? Eg. "I'm sure that you're not wandering around, partner. Trust me." vs. "Ah'm sure that yer not wandrin' 'round, pardner. Trust me."
  3. So it goes like this: Y'all have to spell 'MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC'. The first user posts 'M', the second user posts 'Y' and it goes on from there. Nobody can post more than once consecutively. Anybody who finishes a word gets a brohoof from me. Only one letter at a time.

All over the internet, we see haters, sure. But what if there was a person who hated ponies and bronies so much that they actually spent all their time in a festering pit of rage? And this person focused his hatred into making pony hate-comics? Behold, this thread. In it, I play the role of an over-the-top hater. This is just satire. I really don't mean to offend anybody, since I highly doubt anybody like the star of this comic actually exists. Any time I don't act like PONESLAYR in this thread, I'll mark it.
  5. Simple enough topic here. I've seen the word "brony" being used many times - obviously - but every time I see it used it comes up in a different way. Some people capitalize the term like it's a proper noun, some people spell it with an "ie" on the end "bronie." Some people pluralize without the "ie" to "bronys." And lets not forget that goddam tyrant of spelling...brownie...im not even going to contemplate that as an option. It's a food people! And frankly it drives me up the goddamn wall. So i'm asking you now, what is the correct spelling of the word? Personally, I would say it should be an uncapitalised "brony" plural "bronies" I just want to see what makes people spell the same word a million different ways, and your arguments on to whether or not it should be capitalised. (I do believe there is already a thread about that though...)
  6. Well, I guess you can just look at the title and see the correct way. But yeah. Why can't anyone spell this word? It's not "defintly," it's not "defiantly," it's not "defnitley." I should also point out the difference between these two words because they are mixed up all the time: Definite / definitely: for sure, certain, without a doubt. (pronounced DEF-in-it-ly) Defiant / defiantly: stubborn, rebellious, uncooperative. (pronounced dee-FY-ant-ly) I don't usually quibble over this stuff but there you go.
  7. I was kind of curious as to what kind of spelling do most people prefer. Personally, I'm from Canada so I grew up spelling things how the British do. A lot of my teacher's tell me that since I live in the US now I can't spell things the way I learned growing up. I think that's a load of garbage, but that's not the point of this thread. Which do you prefer British spelling or American spelling. Also, if there is another spelling that I don't know about put it down anyways.
