  1. As someone who's been a fan of Star Wars since I was young, I have been hearing negative comments towards the movies. Not only that, but I also believe that movies don't tell the whole story of the galaxy far, far, away. But ever since Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008(Due to have one more season this year on Disney's new Streaming service), I began to realize that Television(And in some cases: Youtube) is serving a better purpose of telling the stories in the Star Wars universe. That was only backed up with Star Wars Rebels, and there's also Star Wars Resistance(Still in its 1st season). Not to mention there is Star Wars: Mandalorians coming out. But what do you all think? Does Star Wars work better on the Small Screen instead of the Big screen? Should Disney and Lucasarts embrace the home tube or the youtube more than the movie projector?
  2. Here's the three actors who I think could have played his son. Actor number one: Sebastian Stan Actor number two: Thomas Doherty Actor number three: Freddy Carter
  3. Before MLP, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was my favorite series animated series to watch! Fantastic story and great use of characters with a ton of development! Cool new bounty hunters like Cad Bane, Mandalore was in it, return of old characters like Boba Fett and Darth Maul, and even personalities and individuality to the clones! It was truly an amazing that ended prematurely! After season 5 1/2 seasons, there were still 2.5 more seasons until LucasFilms was bought out by Disney! If I could go to the alternate universe where the series never got cancelled, I would! What did you think of the series?
  4. what do you think is the biggest rivalry in geekdom? it can be rivalry between to different fandoms like star wars vs star trek, or a character rivalry like batman vs superman. personally the biggest fandom rivalry ive been a part of is thor vs hulk ( thor should always beat hulk). please post your thoughts on which rivalry is the biggest and the biggest rivalry you have been a part of.
  5. With Star Wars: The Clone Wars now officially over, I did a little shout out drawing involving my OC Wanda Young as Captain Rex and Filly Sunset Shimmer as Ahsoka Tano.
  6. So recently (within the last year or two) I've found myself involved in the saber collecting community. I have some friends who also collect lightsabers, and there are forums dedicated to the hobby, but I was wondering if there is anyone here who also collects sabers. I kind of want some people to talk to about it. If you are not aware, there are whole companies (the most popular being Ultrasabers and Saberforge) who produce collectible dueling lightsabers. These are for both collectible purposes, and for actual saber dueling. Are any of you guys interested in this hobby too? My favorite company to get my sabers from are Ultrasabers. I like how affordable they are, and I actually like their slightly bulkier hilts because I am a tall person with long fingers. I currently have two stunt sabers (the Sentinel v4 in counselor green, and the Overlord in blazing red), but I have had experience using other sabers that my friends own. I am thinking about getting a couple more. I have my eye on the Bellicose and Prophesy from Ultrasabers. I've heard good things about those. I'm also looking at some of the apprentice tier sabers from Saberforge. Even though I don't like how those feel in my hand when I'm dueling or spinning, they all beautiful sabers.
  7. Now that Disney owns Lucas Films, should they remake the Star War prequels. Remaking movies, seems to be a common trend these days. Maybe the prequels should be given the same treatment.
  8. And it's not just My Little Pony. This year will mark the end of many other Movies and/or TV Shows. For fans of How to Train your Dragon, this week will see the release of How to Train your Dragon: The Hidden World. The series has started since early this decade with the first movie. In addition to having a second movie, it also got its own Animated Series that aired on Cartoon Network and Netflix, with a total of eight seasons and 118 episodes. In the end, it's tough to say goodbye to a successful franchise(And this coming from someone who saw the first two films) Another show that's ending this year is the Big Bang Theory. The first Season aired in 2007, and they are already in the middle of airing its final season. Though the spin-off series Young Sheldon will continue, the Big Bang Theory will end its 12 year run sometime before September. And the funny thing is that my parents are a fan of the series. Of course, there's another that must be brought up: The Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was in 2008 that Iron Man hit movie theaters and became a surprise hit, kickstarting the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though the MCU will continue on after Avengers: Endgame releases in theaters, one thing is clear. The era that brought us Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye will come to a close with the final battle against Thanos. And of course, Star Wars. Mainly the Skywalker saga, which started with A New Hope. Star Wars: Episode 9, for better or worse, will air this December. Once that has arrived in theaters, that's it. And that's not the only piece of Star Wars Media that will end as well. This year, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will come back for one more season, tying up any loose ends that were left behind when Season 6 aired on Netflix back in 2014. Which of these shows will you miss after this year is over? Did I miss any?
  9. Started drawing a new comic, I'm still learning and practicing so some of these will be rough looking or at least eye bleed on the colors. But I'm proud of them still.
  10. 2018 was a great year for movies, but 2019 looks like it's going to be even better. So, which movies are you looking forward to the most?
  11. Here is Duel of the Fates (Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace) on the Organ. Enjoy. 😊 Special Thanks to my patron, (Ultimate Fan) Juke Denton, for supporting me on Patreon. Join him here:
  12. So for all star wars fans here, there has been a news about starting a star wars live action series starring an Mandalorian! Here's the information I have to say, they sure have a very good group of people working on this and I have no doubt that this will be better than "force awaken" and "the last jedi". Now I hope the series won't fall into a cliche type of romance that Han solo movie has established. Overall I'm pretty excited for this. What do you guys think? I'll keep adding updates and also this thread can be use as a review once the series is aired.
  13. Today we lost a tremendous talent in the world of film and by the sound of things, a genuine human being. May his legacy live on.
  14. It's being said that the MCU is doing for audiences of today what Star Wars did for movie goers of the late 70s to the 90s. And modern Star Wars is not. The new sequels and the extended Star Wars cinematic universe have not been as well received or groundbreaking as what Marvel's done this past decade. So what is Disney doing right with Marvel, but wrong with Star Wars? Discuss.
  15. So here's day 1 of Comic-Con. It started out having to wait in the hot sun to even get into the Convention Center(Yesterday, I just waited in line in the Sales Pavilion). First thing I did was that I went to the Cyanide and Happiness Booth to meet with Austin St John: The original Mighty Morphin Power Ranger(Red, plus Zeo Ranger Gold). Surprisingly, there was no line for him. So while I waited, I did have a friendly chat with him, and he apparently is intrigued by the Nintendo Switch. I gave him a drawing I did of his character Jason Lee Scott as an Alicornified Red Ranger(I'll show you all this image later on) Next up, I picked up an image from Jay Fosgitt of my characters Wanda and Abigail. He did a great job of the drawing. Then came the Star Wars: The Clone Wars panel. I got it prior to the previous panel ending, and while the cast and crew looked back at the last 10 years of Star Wars the Clone Wars, they announced that there will be new Clone Wars content on Disney. SURPRISE! Then I was able to catch the Rise of the TMNT panel. IT's a new Turtles series on Nickelodeon, with a new voice cast. Eric Bauza returns as the voice of Master Splinter while Rob Paulsen will join in as a Voice Director(He will also voice a member of the foot clan with fellow VA Maurice LaMarche. NARF!). I was able to catch up with Rob and give him my new drawing. Then I caught up with Greg Cipes, who I had a Skype chat with on Memorial Day. I gave him some new artwork of my own(Will show off later on), and he actually liked a paining I did of the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. Afterwards, I went down and checked out the Rocket League playoffs. Note to self: Never eat a ton of popcorn, even if you got it for free. I got pictures of myself with the Batmobiles, plus pics of the Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler and the Delorean from Back to the Future. When I got back, I noticed that the Hasbro Booth was open season. But here's the interesting part. They were sold out of the MLP Toy for the day, while the Power of the Primes Optimus Primal toy was still widely available. I was able to pick one up, plus a Bumblebee gift for a close friend. Finally, I checked out two panels. The first one involved writing and tips. It was more about simplicity, making sure the lines you write match the character, and failure will be in the future. Nicole Dubuc was there, and I gave her one of the new drawings I did. I ended the day with the adventures in voice acting panel. Once again, I didn't get the shot to try out. Anyway, that's it for day one. Tomorrow, I'm taking my dad down to see the My Little Pony panel.
  16. I don't know if there's already a Star Wars thread I can merge this with but I just don't know about all these post-Disney Star Wars spinoffs. I'm probably going to see the Solo movie but the franchise is starting to wear thin for me. I didn't like the Last Jedi, Rogue One was just okay, etc. I feel like they're running it into the ground at this point. They retconned the Expanded Universe and the new sequels feel like more of a rehash than anything else. I'll always be a fan of the original trilogy but it just feels so gimmicky at this point. Thoughts?

  18. And frankly, it was a bit of a disappointment. While it was an improvement in the fact that it wasn't just another Empire Strikes Back clone, having quite a few original ideas and moments compared to Force Awakens, it didn't wow or excite me as the prior film, nor did it really answer any of the questions TFE asked. Who were Rey's parents? Didn't matter. Who was Supreme leader Snoke? Didn't matter. How did the first order get so strong, not just overall, but since the last movie? Didn't get answered. What was the next step in Kylo's training to become a Sith? Didn't matter. What drove Luke into hiding? Answer fell kinda flat. Despite the variety of locations, the movie felt small in scale. It was essentially one big case scene. All the other places were boring or of little consequence. The entire casino sub-plot felt like a bait and switch. The conflict between Po and the vice admiral felt forced, with neither side being in the right or wrong. A few choices made by the fleet felt dumb, just to heighten the tension. And Rey's journey to Luke wasn't insightful. It was boring. The whole movie felt really small in scale. Even smaller than Rogue One. And that ending. Usually you get left with an indication of where the next film is going. But this felt more vague and open ended. Almost like something to conclude the trilogy with. We were all also expecting something spectacular to happen with Luke, but he just disappeared. Literally. What kind of ending is that to such an iconic character? Add to that moments that didn't make the new cast look as strong or definitive as they were in the last film, while also putting the older cast in the back seat, and no one really shined all that well. There were good moments. That was one hell of an opening they had. Really highlighted the desperation of the Rebellion in an innovative battle scene. The fights and duels were done very well. And it was about damn time somebody used a ship in a light speed kamikaze run. No one really gets how destructive something like a grain of sand travelling at light speed can be, let alone a whole star ship. It made sense and looked spectacular (though why the hell didn't they do that with the other two ships they had?). All in all, while this film looked spectacular and had it's moments, The Last Jedi was bland and convoluted. My dad said it best. He didn't hate it, but it didn't blow him away either. What about you? Is the film better than I stated? Worse? Was it worth the wait?
  19. During the month of November and at Equestria LA, I gave Tara STrong a drawing of her character Twilight Sparkle as Risha Drayen from Star Wars: The Old Republic. Since today is Tara Strong's birthday, I have decided to release my drawing of Twilight Sparkle as Risha Drayen. And fun fact: Tara Strong provided the voice of Risha Drayen.
  20. Now folks, I'm doing a poll based on villains. Mainly My Little Pony. But you'll find that I put in a 3rd villain from the Star Wars franchise just for fun. Anyway, here are our entries. 1) The Pony of Shadows: While his form was indeed scary, he was rarely used and didn't do a whole lot to the Mane 6 or the Pillar 6 in Present time. Some say he had as much screen time as Nightmare Moon during the Series Premier: Friendship is Magic Part 1 and 2. In the end, he was banished back to the void, but without Stygian. 2) The Storm King: We barely saw this guy in the early part of the film. He doesn't show up till way later, and he is not as powerful as many other villains like Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis and Tirek. He ultimately double crossed his second-in-command Tempest Shadow, only to meet his end courtesy of an Obsidian Orb meant for Twilight. 3) Supreme Leader Snoke: The Star Wars villain. He was brutal and intimidating. And while he did torment Rey, he was brought down by his student Kylo Ren, who slashed him in half just so he could take over the First Order. So out of these three: Who came out ahead? Vote and find out.
  21. There's a nuclear holocaust. The world is divided into two factions. Which side you on and why?
  22. I recently thought about the 40th anniversary of star wars and how much the original has inspired cinema in the last 40 years. But the more i thought about the year 1977, there have been some other things that have made the year very important for pop culture. -Again Star Wars, being the first movie to be a gigantic summer blockbuster and pretty much inventing the term for it and also making the sci-fi genre a household genre in movies.. -The Atari VCS (know mostly as the Atari 2600) was released and was pretty much the start of what is today a billion dollar corporation, that even makes more money then Hollywood -Advanced Dungeons&Dragons which pretty much set the model standard for everything fantasy and pen&paper RPG that we still use today. Is there a year that even comes close to the impact 1977 had?
  23. So I'm not sure if hyped is the right word, but I'm looking forward to it. I thought "The Force Awakens" was okay (if a bit of a rehash of the original Star Wars) and I love getting to see Star Wars movies in the theatre. Internet hype says this is just going to be a rehash of "Empire" but we'll see. I mean, I'm a bit of an Original Trilogy purist and I'm a bit miffed that they scrapped the Expanded Universe (but at least we got Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels). Here's hoping that Kylo Ren becomes a more intimidating villain than the tempur-tantrum throwing emo in TFA. Also, RIP Carrie Fisher.
