I think Bon Bon, or Sweetie Drops, doesn't get enough love. Here's what I think of Lyra & Bon Bon's personalities. 

 

Lyra is like Rainbow Dash, wanting to explore and go places in the world. 

Bon Bon is the grounded, sweet one, with calm, controled emotions and the clear head of a secret agent. 

 

This makes Lyra and Bon Bon's friendship, relationship, or whatever you believe it is, a yin and yang type of contradiction.
