Earth is divided, many nations seek power and they all have different ways of getting it, everyone complains that their government sucks, well why don't you try running your own country, and let's see if you can do a better job.

Government 100:

Military:

Economy:

Religion:

So basically you would spread out those 100 points on how your government runs your country.

so if you've got a strong military, your armies will be bigger and better trained.

If you've got a good economy: your armies will be better equipped and your people will be happier.

If your a religious country, your armies will be more loyal, and your people will be more trusting in your leadership and are less likely to leave and join another nation.

Example

Nation: Albion

Leader: Connor Corrigan

Political view: democracy

Military: 50

Economy: 30

Religion: 20

Capital: Hope City

Country

Terrain: mostly forests and fields with a few rivers and hills.

Main resources: Steel, wood, food.

Military tactic: mainly tank divisions supported by small units of infantry.

Economic plan: people have the right to run businesses and earns their own money, but they must all pay tax.

Religious views: we don't believe in a all powerful being, but we believe that something created us.

Nation

Nations

1. Albion

2. New Gaul

3. Arden

4. Marina

Nation: New Gaul
Leader: Jackson Boyd
Political view: Dictatorship with advisers elected from the people
Military: 45
Economy: 30
Religion: 25
Capital: Cross
Terrain: Mountains in some border regions, many foot hills, and a fertile coastal plain.
Main resources: Iron, coal, food, crude oil
Military tactic: average sized standing army with compulsory service effectively making the entire population the reserve. Should a large scale war begin the citizenry is called upon to fight using numbers to gain victory. Should a small isolated conflict begin the standing more professional army goes in using airborne tactics.
Economic plan: Private businesses along with government business competing with private business.
Religious views: (This has nothing to do with my religions views) We be believe in a single powerful god. We believe many that walk among us are actually spirits sent from him to watch us and guide us. We ride with the symbol of our god (A rising sun) into battle.

Nation: Arden
Leader: Geoffry "Silver" Dusk
Political view: Constitutional Monarchy
Military: 55
Economy: 35
Religion: 10
Capital: Ferric
Terrain: A rocky, mountainous landscape to the north, with rich, arable lands to the south. Its southern border is a vast river. The eastern border is a vast ocean. The northern border is a nearly impassable mountain range, and the wester border is a vast ravine, with only a few crossing points.
Main resources: Vast amount of metal, both the valuable and the practical variety. Also has a fair amount of natural gas and volcanoes. Food from the south is another vital resource
Military tactic: Although it has a small standing army, the Ardenine forces are well trained to fight in the mountainous terrain of the north, as well as the flatlands of the south. They prefer the use of advanced technology over sheer force.
Economic plan: Uses the southern farm to feul the mining industry of the north, which consists of a mixture of large government owned companies and smaller privately owned ones. The farms to the south are loosely regualted, as long as they produce a fair amount of food. Many companies are heavily subsidized by the government to devolop new technologoies in all facets of society, from military to agriculture.
Religious views: A limited religion, although many worship the god of the earth, as many of our resources come from there.

Other: There are few large cities in the south, the north if far more urbanized.

Nation: Marina
Leader: Always a Council of three representing branches of the nation: John Quell [Economic], Mar-Katir [Military], Horace Gornfold[Religion]
Political view: Dictatorship/Monarchy
Military: 20
Economy: 30
Religion: 50

Terrain: It is set on the sea, on whole giant city/fortress. The people have learned how to fight the waves and transform sea water into things that they can use.
Main resources: Thermal Energy, Raw Oil, Amber.
Military tactic: Mostly on the defensive, the city fortress is very heavily armed, every man age of 16-30 must serve in the army. They mostly flood and outnumber the enemy. 6 infantry squads, 1 Ground support, 1 Air support, 2 sea support. They greatly relies upon the navy and their attacks mostly stick to the shore, infantry being covered by naval bombardment.
Economic plan: Mostly Industry, where Government only businesses happen. Private services, mostly invest in technology. And some huge farming platforms, private but government controlled.
Religious views: The populace were brainwashed into believing that there is one god and the council of 3 are his chosen ones to lead his people. They worship both the council and the god and are ready to do anything for them.

You lied, that's three questions, just kidding.

1. Its gonna be good old humanity for this rp.

2. Its gonna be set in 2050, so modern, with maybe a few advanced technologies.

3. Indeed, as we progress depending on your decisions through out the war, you ether gain power or lose power, to gain power, you have to take over other nations cities, negotiate trading deals with other nations, and all the basic stuff.

Any other questions.

@,
I do, can we have deals or something before the rp. Like for example, one country has good metals but no food, but other country has good food but no metals, can they strike a deal now so they are both on par with every other nation when the rp starts?

Of course you can, its all about building your empire, forging alliances is very important, no country can stand alone, that's why the allies one world war 2 they had more friends which meant more land and resources, germany had to work with what was within its borders, which meant by the end of the war they had drained their natural resources.

Also post your nation before you start building alliances.

Nation:  Austinationia
Leader: Ravek Bullingham
Political view: Democracy
Military: 25
Economy: 70
Religion: 5
Capital: Pontania
Terrain: A very Large island in the middle of the sea, with several different terrains and biomes on the island. The West is where the Capitol is, and so has more subaria than everywhere else, but the city is the only main area of the populace. The West is great for farming, the South-East is a Fishing Area, North South is the hunting/medicine/tropical climate, and the most Northy part is mostly Desert. Though a key part is that the island is near a rift in the planet's crust, and so has steam gushers all about the place.
Main resources: Technology, Science, Medicine, Crafts, Food
Military tactic: There is always a stand by of a small military force at all times, and a medium sized fleet of ships. Many people who enroll in the military are in reserves, and will only be called to action if war breaks loose or a threat of war has been given. The Force's armoury consists more of highly advanced tech than rather brute force, and so the need for defense and serious numbers are not needed.
Economic plan: Mostly small Private businesses, with some major companies helping out communities and doing more than what smaller ones can do. Mainly it's power companies that grow big quickly, as there is the Government's two energy systems and privately owned companies sipping off of that.
Religious views: Science is fact, until we discover some science that is more pure, then we believe in the knowledge we have now while try to improve. Though some who don't have a lot of knowledge of science sometimes call things magic if they do not understand it.

You Answered Dark Star's question about points, and that political deals and such give you more points to deal with and all that. I would like to ask, do you decide on how many points people receive? And do you keep a record so it can be updated and people can see what's going on? And also, does anyone and myself included get points for the deals made before the rp starts?
I want to establish my country first, that would include all the deals I'm making now and have already done, and I would like to have points added for doing all this kinda prep work, for both myself and those I'm a dealing with.

@
And just to mention, I have already brokered a deal with Marina. They supply my country with large amounts of energy through their thermal rift, and we give them technical support. Their main defense and offensive devices were made by us, and our countries have an alliance. Even though my country is free while his is brainwash utopia.

@@Diamondeye83,
Diamond Eye, is it alright if our two countries have an established deal already in place also? Austinationia specialises in science and technology, but if we have quite a sufficient agriculture. We could provide food and help with your leads in Science and Advancement.

I'm going to assume this is some made up Earth, because none of the countries replicate the Earth's ethnic and cultural groups very much.

Austinstonia is definitely Australia. Marina sounds like Maldives, or Polynesia/Micronesia without all that made up technology. Arden sounds like the Caucasus countries (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) without the ravine...or maybe Arden is actually Ethiopia.

Austinstonia: Mainly English speaking Australians with some aborigines.

Marina: Muslims? Maybe islandic natives.

Arden: Armenia, Georgian, Turkish, Russian, Azerbaijanis. Or Ethopians.

@,
Yeah, I pretty much modeled my country after, well my country. Though instead of the east being the capitol the west is, and other small elements that are completely different.

@,

Of course. Despite our varied raw materials, our manufaction base is lacking in vigor. I hope that we can work out a deal that will benfit both of us. Perhaps some of our metals could be of use, since you lack significant sources on your island.

@@Diamondeye83,
Metals would be ideal for us, maybe we have given you machines to help out in production? Or possibly we have sent one of our scientists or two to help out with improving your production, and of course the offer of food supply is always on the table if you need it.

After looking over the other countries I made a revision. A big revision.

Nation: New Gaul
Leader: Jackson Boyd
Political view: Dictatorship with advisers elected from the people
Military: 65
Economy: 25
Religion: 10
Capital: Cross
Terrain: Mountains in some border regions, many foot hills, and a fertile coastal plain.
Main resources: Iron, coal, food, crude oil, manpower in industry.

Military tactic: Large standing army with compulsory service effectively making the entire population the reserve. Should a large scale war begin the citizenry is called upon to fight using numbers and good training to claim victory. Should a small isolated conflict begin the standing more professional army goes in using airborne (Paratroopers) and air assault (Helicopters or VTOLs) tactics. The navy is a it small but works using good leadership and modern tech.

Economic plan: Private businesses along with government business competing with private business. Should the government desire it can seize control of all private business. Heavy focus on industries both government and privately owned building both domestic goods and military equipment. Follows the military industrial complex and the nation sells it's spare military gear to other countries but only bare-bones versions.

Religious views: (This has nothing to do with my religions views) We be believe in a single powerful god. We believe many that walk among us are actually spirits sent from him to watch us and guide us. We ride with the symbol of our god (A rising sun) into battle.

A nation struggles to be recognized as independent -

Nation: Acier

Leader:  Garthrey Laet

Political view: Theocracy.
     Military: 10
     Economy: 25
     Religion: 65
Capital: Si-Hazec
Terrain: A mountain range named the Spine divides the country into western and eastern halves. It is here from The Spine that the governing body has built their headquarters, and small mining operations here collect precious metals. The west half is a very large flood plain that provides fertile grounds for raising crops. Biodiversity is high in this area. The eastern half is an arid desert that serves as the urban center of the country. Here, the efforts of the rest of the land is brought together and added to the project.
Main resources: Agricultural produce, Precious metals, Astrological knowledge.
Military tactic: Hating to waste resources that could be better spent fulfilling the Divine Mission, Only a small standing army is ever kept equipped. What is around are small infantry units supported by large amount of long range artillery. When war is declared, a total annihilation policy is taken. The targets are bombarded to the point at which nearly nothing is left, and the infantry systematically tear down the rest. Destruction of targets is intended to be used as examples to others who would dare test us.
Economic plan: Overall, focus is on the "Naga project", but to most efficiently accomplish this goal, the economy is divided into three sectors; "The hive", the manufacturing department, headed in the East Urban cities. "The Sages", The theocratic bureaucracy that keeps the land running. and "The Efforts", The whole Western half is considered this for their constant development of everything required for the country.
Religious views: There was a time when higher beings walked among us and displayed their power. As they returned home they left us a calling card, A request that we follow their steps. We are doing just that. But first, preparations must be made for the long trip. Other peoples can be brought along, but their ride does not come free.

Acier = Iran in terms of philosophy and technological advances, though the geography reminds me of Egypt.

Alright, You got me. That was what I was going for.
