It's hard for me to choose a favorite particular word. I'd consider a lot of them among my favorites, for standing out to me due to their meaning, the beauty of the word itself, or both.

While that's certainly not a word that I use with any amount of frequency, it has a special personal significance to me. It is the first big word that my dad taught to me when I was a child, that I remember. I remember sitting in the car with him while he'd go over its spelling and pronunciation and everything with me, just for fun.
