I'm definitely a Death and Melodic Death kind of guy. Which is why I like Scar Symmetry which is Melodic Death. Also, what's the difference between Death and Black metal? It has that aggression and power in it so it feels like listening to the soundtrack of someone getting their skull smashed with a sledge hammer. Black Metal has more screechier vocals but they're FAAAAAAAAAAAAARR more atmospheric than Death Metal. They can be viewed as a bit more intellectual and more creepy in terms of thought provision. Most other bands get placed in specific places but Skeletonwitch just gets labeled as "heavy metal"?
