>buying music

I kid, I kid. I've always valued having CD's of albums, just to have some physical copy to look at.

I actually don't buy CDs, I buy my music on itunes. Although now that I think about it, I would rather have a physical copy of the album, but it's so much easier to just buy stuff off itunes.

Most of my sets on guitar hero would tour have this one in i love this song.

I'm not a super huge BFMV fan, but I really really like this song a lot. It was in some racing game I used to play all the time on xbox

No, the game was actually Burnout: Revenge, I just remembered.

By the way, Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands ever, and Blinded in Chains is one of my favorite songs by them. Ultra brohoof for you!! /)

And the montser bassman know as Steve Harris.

I need to look into more modern metal bands but always love the classics.

I tried for a quality lab, but the pictures are being stupid.

Black Flag's Damaged, Metallica's Ride The Lightning, Pig Destroyer's Prowler In The Yard, Acacia Strain's Death Is The Only Mortal, assorted pony tunes and some Harley Poe. Add some Lucero and The Gaslight Anthem to taste.

I like how I've heard all those albums. :D

Well, I'm going to Florida for a vacation, and my parents are driving. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png Luckily, I've stocked up on tons of Music to listen to. In a post sort of like a quality lab. Except way longer.

In terms of albums,

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

After the Burial - In Dreams (FLAC, the superior file format)

I Care Because You Do - Aphex Twin

Milo Goes To College - The Descendants

Songs about Fucking - Big Black

In the Nightside Eclipse - Emperor

Book Burner - Pig Destroyer

Kid A - Radiohead

OK Computer - Radiohead

The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of N**gy Stardust - Saul Williams

MM Food - MF Doom

The Unseen - Quasimoto

Burning for the Ancient - Addaura

Only the Ocean Knows - An Autumn for Crippled Children

Drought - Deathspell Omega

Deathconsciousness - Have a Nice Life

May not be able to fit all that in, may be able to fit in MORE. As you can see, this consists of hip-hop and black metal, really.

Enter Затухание, an obscure harsh/black-noise band, as I like to call them. They were one of my black metal November picks. And dear Black Metal Jesus, I did not know what I was expecting. Listen in the spoiler.

Recently, I've been getting back into progressive metal and doom metal. Bands like Spheric Universe Experience, Lost in Thought, Count Raven, and Doomraiser.

Holy fuck, after listening through Death is the Only Mortal by The Acacia Strain again, I realized just how heavy it really is. The breakdowns are insane and so is the chugging. Also, the vocals are typical Acacia Strain but I'm always impressed at the incredibly angry lyrics that are pretty funny sometimes, too.

DAMNIT PHONE. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO VIEW/POST VIDEOS. Well, at least the cable crew said they'd start working on cable lines tomorrow :/

Doom metal, you say? I don't have much doom metal outside of Black/Doom, but I do plan on listening to Natasha by Pig Destroyer, a band that often likes to use doom elements within their riffage.

>Everyone who says metal is for children

Welp, I feel like giving you guys some non-metal recommendations today.

Check my spoiler.

Suis La Lune - Riala

Fun post-hardcore, with math rock influences. Closest release to metal in my recommendations. The singer makes it classifiable as screamo, but trust me, screamo can be GREAT.

post-2597-0-57992600-1352117447.jpg

Helios - Eingya

Amazingly amazing electronic. Basically just beats behind post-rock sounding guitar riffs. One of my favorite albums.

post-2597-0-68645400-1352117358.jpg

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Essential shoegaze. Really soft and mellow music, where the vocals blend into the guitar. Fun melodies, and the guitar is a major instrument among it. Good relaxing music. I have some other shoegaze if you want more.

Madvillain - Madvillainy and MF Doom - MM Food

Both are great experimental hip-hop, MF Doom raps on both of them. He has an interesting, sort of talking voice, and his flow is nice.

Ohoohohoh, I just want to put it out there that Book Burner might be one of my favorite releases. It's almost surpassing Prowler In the Yard. o_o

I know production isn't everything, but that clarity to the album just makes it great.

Going back to my roots for a little bit. Not in the date, but in the style.

And then, I'll go back even further, to before some of you were born/I had only been alive for the better part of a year.

FUCKING VACATION TAKING AWAY MY METAL TIME.

Funny, that's usually my go to song for wishing anyone a happy birthday. :T

Listened to Obscura today, though I should have been listening to black metal. Fine experimental death metal, Gorguts is.

Bringing this one back from the early pages of the thread for pure awesomeness' sake.

The only thing holding this back is the guitar. The drumming is spot on and the growls are a perfect compliment to the tone.
