Champion RD92 8,644 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 (edited) I randomly decided to listen to Rust in Peace by Megadeth again today after listening to a review of it on Youtube. Easily the best Megadeth album I've heard, and easily one of my favorite heavy metal albums that I own. Probably my second favorite behind "And Justice for All" by Metallica. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l9WbnqFSw8 Edited March 12, 2013 by Champion RD92
MVC NVMXD JVRXD 2,406 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 Hey anypony around here familiar with Cannabis Corpse? They're death metal except they're songs are all about marijuana. I think it's pretty cool. Hell yeah. Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise was one of the albums that first got me into death metal. Kazuki Fuse 534 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 I'm having one of those days when only harsh grindcore is acceptable. Anyone else have days like this? Best Joe Pesci quote at the beginning of this one! A really harsh split!
NeverNeverland 1,939 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 Managed to pick this one up. It's slightly different from whatever else they released but I've enjoyed this album the most out of all discography. Even has the song that got me into 3IOB... AS IF MEGADETH WILL EVER RELEASE ANYTHING WORTHY OF MY TIME EVER AGAIN That goes for the both of us. Best Joe Pesci quote at the beginning of this one! Fucking ha to that one. Where is it quoted from?
Le Kvlt Dawn 2,363 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 (edited) I don't know why but I'm thinking that their band name Is supposed to be a parody of Cannibal Corpse Sounds hilarious, maybe I'll listen to it when I feel like humorous stuff Actually you're right, they are a Cannibal Corpse parady. Even the song titles parady Cannibal Corpse's stuff. Anyways here's some D.R.I., just for the hell of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzcBJj5BgYU Edited March 13, 2013 by Neighvana666
Moog the Kvlt 1,459 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 AS IF MEGADETH WILL EVER RELEASE ANYTHING WORTHY OF MY TIME EVER AGAIN I never really was into that much of Megadeth in the first place Actually you're right, they are a Cannibal Corpse parody. Even the song titles parody Cannibal Corpse's stuff. Yeah I figured that was obvious But man, even the song titles are parodies? Wow I would of never noticed that

I don't listen to Cannibal Corpse so it's not an obvious giveaway for me Though "I Cum Bud" is one of the few that are obvious to a non-Cannibal Corpse fan
Champion RD92 8,644 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 Speaking of Megadeth, would you guys say that Endgame is a good album? I think I might possibly like it, but I'm not sure. I'll probably have to listen through it first.

I'll probably have to listen through it first. Considering you got Rust In Peace and Peace Sells (I think), Endgame might not stack up. Compared to Thirteen and United Abominations though, it's absolute gold. Probably the last good thing Mustaine might produce.
~Asuka <3~ 867 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 (edited) Yeah, so, my mom's starting to tell me that the music I listen to harms my brain. The shit I put up with. One song from me today. Witch, a stoner metal/doom metal band from 'Murica. Edited March 13, 2013 by ~Chaotic Twilight~

As far as new age Megadeth goes, Endgame is good. The System Has Failed is the only thing that could surpass it.
Moog the Kvlt 1,459 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 Since you guys are going off about Megadeth I might as well post a song from the only Thrash album that I've liked As for other Slayer albums, I haven't listened to them yet And I'll also leave a Dir En Grey song Because why not? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv98CSMkhpQ

And while you're at it, get Fistful of Metal, Bonded by Blood or Pleasure to Kill. All great thrash albums I'd recommand to you.

Well damn that was a pretty good song I may be no Thrash Metal fan But even for me that song was damn good I might pick up that album if I see it sometime Good luck with that. The last I remember someone being able to pick that up was by import from Australia in some website from years ago. Can't find anything like it. ...but if you do, I'll hunt you down for it. Not a good combination. Demolition Hammer because it's one of those thrash bands I actually know inside out. Surprising to find someone that not only likes Time Bomb, but doesn't bitch at the fact that it's not Demolition Hammer. I don't know why, but I've always liked Violator. I only remember them for their instrumental... huh. Its from the movie Casino. Robert DeNiro mafia flick. Shit... I remember watching the beginning of that one.
