Midnight Scribbler 1702 Share Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Originally a track by the German pop band Bony-M. Rasputin, done by Turisas. I saw this one live, it was amazing, lots of fun. I highly recommend this band in concert. Edited November 10, 2013 by Midnight Scribbler
Treeboy 417 Share Posted November 10, 2013 War metal incoming. Being a fan of a lot of "untrue" black metal, this was radically different for me. It's still pretty cool though.
Champion RD92 8625 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Both my parents like hard rock, but my dad did get me into disturbed, and kind of got me into SOAD You like Disturbed and System of a Down??? I really like both those bands What songs do you like from Disturbed? That's like one of my favorite bands ever.
Scratch 122 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Nothing can top this, guys. I think nothing can surpass this song. Prove me wrong. Please find something better......if you can, which you can't, because this song is just TOO serious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr9fmEQOuOg

I was quite disappointed when I spent $5 for a cd and only like one song on it well the fourm doesn't like the third video for some reason...
Champion RD92 8625 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Those are some of my favorite disturbed songs, I just wish more songs from believe were like liberate... I was quite disappointed when I spent $5 for a cd and only like one song on it Prayer and Liberate are the best songs on Believe for sure. You will probably like the other songs too if you give them more of a chance. In my opinion, Ten Thousand Fists is their best album overall, if you don't have that one yet. NeverNeverland 1939 Share Posted November 10, 2013 This is a good Razor album, but the problem is that each song is virtually the same. Him and Moog decided to commit forum suicide and get themselves banned. They both made threads and posted all this loli-porn and boom, gone. Admittedly, the fact Moog named his "I AM THE ANTICHRIST" was pretty entertaining. WHY. Christ, their idiocy is beyond my comprehension.

Treeboy 417 Share Posted November 11, 2013 So my experience with Agalloch thus far has been really gratifying. Starting with Pale Folklore, I really enjoyed the folk elements juxtaposed with Ulver-style melodic black metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gY2VWSk3uFo I was slightly underwhelmed by The Mantle. I thought the clean vocals were a bit lacking in something, but there were a lot of great expansions on the Pale Folklore sound, making it much slower and atmospheric. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dnu_kI3eII Ashes Against the Grain was (for me) what The Mantle was trying to do, but done much better. Upped production values, better songwriting, et cetera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3McvtNgLGM Soon my experience with this band will conclude with Marrow of the Spirit, and I'm very excited.
Midnight Scribbler 1702 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Just bought this album yesterday. Cracked it open and have been headbanging furiously ever since. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi-w6mGn7U0 Seriously, French people can make some fucking amazing metal.

I'm looking forward to listening to it In the meantime, here's some Dream Theater: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJta8qGNnXw

Away 2070 Share Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) My favorite track off of Sunbather. I just love how uplifting and empowering it is. It's a free and wild beauty that can't be tamed no matter what. Edited November 12, 2013 by LatinoChurro

They remind me a little of Pink Floyd at points, which is a plus. On that note. Here's a band I loved throughout high school, and continue to appreciate now, although their newer stuff is somewhat disappointing I find. They've got their good stuff though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wokDxDt504g
Champion RD92 8625 Share Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Amazing band, I have both those albums, and love them. I assume you're talking about Train of Thought and Octavarium. Those are my favorite Dream Theater albums. Metropolis pt.2: Scenes from a Memory is also great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNKjuC2kSPs Oh, and I like Systematic Chaos too. Midnight Scribbler 1702 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Indeed, they are an amazing band.Apocalyptica is another one I really enjoy, they started as a Metallica cover band, and are classically trained cello players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf2aIVKp1OY&list=FLGKKLHxbKon233-u6lBizIA&index=
Champion RD92 8625 Share Posted November 12, 2013 I found a couple pretty dang catchy songs on Megadeth's Youthanasia album. I was expecting the album to be a bit better overall, but it's okay.
Crispy 5555 Author Share Posted November 13, 2013 So this dropped last week or so ago. Anyone else check the new Impending Doom out yet? It's not nearly as chuggy as I'm used to them being, but I like what their doing with the tone... even if it is a bit subdued compared to, say, The Serpent Servant. Midnight Scribbler 1702 Share Posted November 13, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTwXgfJklfg Lyrics As the mind evolves menaces are born.As the needles turn innocence is torn.Wake, wake, wake. They find all things tiring. In time they'll find a reason to hide their devotion.Desperate defiance, such a complex rage inside us all. This structured raw submission, such a killer free to lose control.Alliance between the cold, and the one's we'll never know.Alliance defined by a harsh society.Dangerous alliance, such defiant menaces are born. This structured raw submission, such reluctant innocence in torn.Liar always. Liar, liar.Patient, patient, patient.Defiant.Nascent, nascent, nascent.Nascent, a killer is born.Desperate defiance, such a complex rage inside us all. This structured raw submission, such a killer free to lose control. Woohoo 23431 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Stumbling about on youtube playlists brought me to this fine piece of music. Thought I'd share. I just started rocking the hell out when it hit the first heavy part. I love that medley, especially the "ballady" part at 4:28. Reminds me of Metallica's ballads like "One"
 Badges
Midnight Scribbler 1702 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Here's one that takes me back to my early days of being a metalhead. Back when I first discovered the amazing world of headbanging warriors.
Twiliscael 3941 Share Posted November 14, 2013 All of my hopes and dreams for the whole one-black-metal-album-a-day thing were completely and utterly crushed by real life getting in the way and all. Nevertheless, there's always the classics to fall back on. So this dropped last week or so ago. Anyone else check the new Impending Doom out yet? Never have heard or heard of this band, but damn it sounds like something I need to listen to immediately.
Woohoo 23431 Share Posted November 14, 2013 Here's one that takes me back to my early days of being a metalhead. Back when I first discovered the amazing world of headbanging warriors. What's more metal than a chrome angel riding a dragon motorcycle with sawblade wheels? I found a couple pretty dang catchy songs on Megadeth's Youthanasia album. I was expecting the album to be a bit better overall, but it's okay. I agree. Youthanasia is not a bad album, but nothing spectacular either. Also, I got Train of Consequences stuck in my head... I like trains...
 Badges

He's faster than a laser bullet, breathes smoke and fire, and his sole purpose is to redeem mankind from the brink of destruction. My answer. Nothing is more metal than that.
