They're not even good, I just think the whole "you-are-a-pirate!" thing is hilarious.

BLASPHEMY!! Alestorm is insanely talented, I've seen them twice. (to each their own though, ;) )

I find some bands differ greatly from live to studio. Some I wouldn't listen to in studio much, but I'd see them live without question. And others, it's the other way round.

Like these guys for instance, I don't have their albums, but I'd go to every show they ever put on because it's always cheap, and it's never a boring time. And just as a preemptive warning, they can be offensive, but they're like Southpark, they're offensive to everything, not just one group. Their lyrics are always comedic and completely nonsensical.

@,

FOR VALHALLA!!!!

You might enjoy these bands if you're into Norse/viking/Pagan themes.

The lead singer in Borknagar was part of Dimmu Borgir as the clean vocalist, and went under the alias "Vortex" He started Borknagar before joining Dimmu, but went back after they booted him and their keyboardist for some stupid reason.

Of Mice And Men's former vocalist decided to scrap together his own band.

I'd say it's a pretty big success, especially for a debut. It's extremely melodic and clean, and I think fits right alongside alternate metal a bands like Deftones and Tool.

I never liked GWAR and never had a chance to see them live, but I've heard stories of good times, cheap tickets, cheap alcohol, and weird performances their concerts, I'd probably be down to go to one if the opportunity arose.

Fleshgod Apocalypse is selling their own pasta, which is far beyond metal. They've got wines too ever since Labyrinth, but this is much more extreme.

Those guys have an absolutely ridiculous amount of pride for their Italian heritage I love it.

BTW, does djenty post here anymore? I haven't seen him.

Dj0nty, Moog, Dawn, and Stryker all got themselves banned by claiming to be the Antichrist and posting loliporn everywhere. Dire times we live in.

Also nice Mareep.

Ah, that's a shame. Djenty and Stryker are gone too, and all the loliporn deleted with no means of retrieving it.

And thanks bro, Mareeps are brutal.

Sponcey (Chaotic Twilight) also went MIA. It's lonely sometimes.

Weekend Nachos came out with some new stuff, pretty good!

I never even looked into what Weekend Nachos was or what they played or who was in the band, I always just blasted it at brain-damaging volumes and had seizures when nobody was home to call the cops.

They used to be straight up power violence, now their more of a blackened hardcore.

Still great, though.

Excuse my stupidity, but is that a new Periphery song or something?

It's a teaser for a new album EP they're doing, so that's why it jumps around alot. Each band member wrote their own song and then made one huge song together as a group which I think is a pretty cool idea. This literally makes me so happy you don't understand.

Sounds awesome, I'll be looking forward to a new album by them. I friggin' love their second album, I actually saw the CD the other day and I had to get it haha.
