Cynic 336 April 5, 2012 Share April 5, 2012 Few bands can radically change their style and still make music that was just as awesome as their debut. Mastodon is one of those bands.

Cynic 336 April 5, 2012 Share April 5, 2012 Say what you want to about The Black Album, but it's a hell of a lot better then ReLoad, St. Anger, or Lulu. The Unforgiven, and I guess Enter Sandman are classics.

Oh, too good for 240p, huh? I see how it is! Why don't I just get you some 320kbps MP3! Or is that not good enough for you either?! Huh?! Need all your music in FLAC, is that how it is?!?! Here's one in 720p on YouTube. It might not be up to your standards, but people don't upload lossless songs to YouTube, http://youtu.be/-CvltVKjacw

Need all your music in FLAC, is that how it is?!?! O_O XD Its just that if the song sounds so wirey like that, it becomes a pain in the ass to listen to. Music quality can be important in some cases. For example, Kreator's album Pleasure to Kill is a big offender in this. Good songs, great playing, horrid quality. To compare - Original track: Live in Berlin, 1990: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JWg3-6Aks8 Also, thanks for the link Cynic, Bleak is REALLY fucking good.

Probably should have started you off with The Lotus Eater, but nontheless. http://youtu.be/kvVf1C8tGlc The above track is a masterpiece. I might even go as far to say it's the best song Opeth has ever made.

I have Ghost Reveries and I might get Blackwater Park before stopping on the Opeth stuff. 2) OBJECTION. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb9C1u8HsR8

Steven Wilson produced it, therefore that, Damnation, and Deliverence are all classics. I may not like Porcupine Tree(The band Steven is the vocalist for), but the man's an amazing producer. Plus, this. http://metalstorm.net/bands/band.php?band_id=13&bandname=Opeth On a different note, two things. One, you got me on a Kreator binge Cynic! Ho-how did I get you hooked on Kreator? I've never once posted Kreator! Also, I'd change it back now, but I've used up my name changes for the month. -_- Now, back to the music. http-~~-//youtu.be/ewFgQqklqHM In Flames is back. This album was just amazing-their best since Clayman(2000). The people have been bitching about how In Flames stopped making melodic death metal? The above track could have been on Colony. The rest of the album, while not being melodeath, is nonetheless amazing. http-~~-//youtu.be/4qDv2FZtCak In Flames has tried to do thrash on A Sense Of Purpose-and failed. Not here. This is my second favorite song on the album. Even if it's not true thrash, it's still a good blend of melody and aggression.
