I've been revisiting some songs I used to listen to lately besides listening to Periphery's new  album. Especially Gojira, I don't like their Flying Whales stuff but the stuff before is really nice. I guess it has this feeling to this I can't describe.

Just saw the new bands for this year's edition of the Heavy MTL and here's what it looks like for this year:

 

 

 

 

A little bit dissapointed, the only bands that I'm looking forward to being Testament, Nuclear Assault, Gorguts, Anonymus and Lamb Of God

Since i'm from Quebec, it's not that far away from where I live, but for only this amount of bands, I don't know if it will be worth the price...

I don't listen to these bands, maybe Messhugah but I'm not really into Mastodon, Gojira, Periphery and Arch Enemy and I find Korn and Slipknot a little too overrated but that's alright if you listen to them.

Last year was the best year for this festival IMO with thrashier bands (I'm more into Thrash if you know me better)

But I was not able for some familial reasons to go and that was B.S.

Gojira is one of my all time favorite bands. They really hit home with every point they set out to make in their albums. I rarely find a band where I love every single song they produce, but this band does it. Seen them live twice, and they were just as spectacular in person.

Gave these guys a listen yesterday after a while. They were one of my favorite bands. Shame what happened to them in the end, thanks to their lead singer. Brilliant songwriter. Lousy human being.

Devin Townsend is awesome. Saw him open for Gojira two years back, and it was phenomenal.
