This one really speaks to me, having suffered from sleep paralysis and having nightmares be more common than normal dreams. This song has a lot of personal meaning for me. One helluva song in general though.

"Lay down fall away
Lie awake
Just cannot move
My arms and legs
I'm paralyzed
Don't recall how to free
Myself from this
In the heart of the dark
My face contorted
Don't know how to
Reach the light
But I feel so bad
Like a freak in a cage."

I'm not sure how to embed youtube videos but here's a song from a very over the top power metal band by the name of

Gloryhammer - Unicorn Invasion Of Dundee (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlhQZFTvAn4).

Also here's a song from my favorite band of all time.

Kreator - Enemy Of God (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ROpTpVoqRA)

This is almost maddening. I fuckin' love it!

I don't think I've seen anybody post any Northern Kings on here, at least not for a while. Here's their cover of Take On Me.

This has to be one of the most amazing things I've ever heard in my life. Also to post videos here just paste the link. No bb code required.

I've been completely absorbed with Dream Evil's Dragonslayer album and Amaranthe's The Nexus album. I really should get more music for both bands.

I would never have thought to combine electronic and metal but Amaranthe really makes it work. It helps that the vocalists are amazing, especially the woman.

Here's Eaten by Bloodbath. It's about Armin Meiwes, who killed and ate another guy who volunteered to have that happen. The story alone is pretty metal. Rammstein also did a song called Mein Teil about this incident.

If you are looking for more music by them then absolutely check out their album "Evilized" you also can't go wrong with "Book Of Heavy Metal."

I've been in a Technical Death/Thrash Metal mood lately:

I decided to give Obscura another go and I'd say their material is satisfying and really close to a perfect representation of Tech Death Metal:

I've also got into Gojira a week or so, and to say I'm disappointed by their music in general would be an understatement.

My favorite album from them would be The Link or From Mars To Sirius, both excellent albums that are unique from the rest of their discography:

also have this song to celebrate my ascension to the Pheonix rank with the song "Pheonix Rising" by Deströyer 666, that band whose gonna release their next album called "Wildfire" in Feb. 2016, CAN'T WAIT!  :

If you're a fan of industrial metal, I'd recommend Raubtier. Although they sing only in Swedish, but their music is great!

If you haven't heard Pain either, check them out

Or even better, why not take one of the big ones in Industrial; Till Lindemann (Rammstein) and pair him up with Pain for some good headbanging songs?
