I've just realized I've posted nothing-or very little-from Reroute To Remain.

 

 

Reroute To Remain is a criminally underrated album. It's constantly criticized for being their first foray into mainstream metal. Some of In Flames best material was on this album-Reroute To Remain, Dismiss The Cynics, System, Trigger, Dark Signs and Free Fall are all amazing songs.

First time I listen to Evile and I love it. I love the vocals and their guitar is pretty awesome. Now I'm gonna have to check out more. xD

 

Oh boy, do I have a lot to say about them.

 

Everyone is always saying that either Five Serpents Teeth is the primal album to get, or Enter The Grave. Here's what I think - if you want really fast and young thrash (basically typical but at the same time, fresh), get Enter The Grave.

If you prefer a bit of an technical edge to music, more riffed base, try Infected Nations - their second album. Be warned, its a much slower album, and the vocalist constantly hates on this album because he feels he did a bad job on the vocals.

If you prefer songs that have a slightly more refined edge to it - like if songs on Enter The Grave got a bit more worked on and fixed to sound more serious, or if Infected Nations got a de-tuned a bit to sound less negative and more all around, get Five Serpents Teeth.

Not overly metal but still really good! one of my current favorite bands! Hope you enjoy.

(sorry for most songs I post, they are more genre'd in hardcore rather then metal, but both are kind of similar I hope to most of you.)

It's just that a lot of people don't consider Nu-Metal proper metal.

If we actually cared about shitting on people for liking a certain type of sub genre, this thread would be filled with hating, negativity and all around unappealing moods. If it's metal, post it - stop giving a shit about what others think.
