Eternal Night

 

The moon came up one night... and it never came down. Equestria was plunged into an eternal night. Canterlot just disappeared on that night. In its place was a crater. Eerie lights surround where the castle used to be, anyone who has went to investigate these odd lights has disappeared as well. It's been a week, and the moon stays the way it was; it remains full, and is now like the new sun, the only light left. Some ponies took pleasure in this eternal night, partying, until they realized how terrible things would become. Trees and plants are dying, crops are failing, hour by hour it gets a little colder. Ponies have scattered, and some have gone insane; some have became evil; many have even died. But not everything became evil, some ponies want to become heroes and fight for good, others... just want to survive.

 

Well this is going to be the first RP that I host.

Since I've only been in 3 or so RP's I will be asking my friend FrostyV will be co-DMing for me.

 

This is a combative RP. That means there will be fighting. Although I'm not including fancy-schmancy numbers or stats but I do want to add a tiny bit of complexity to combat.

 

Rules

 

No Alicorns, no exceptions.

No Mary Sues

You can include romance and what not, but please keep it to a minimum. This isn't a romance RP.

Your character must have some depth to him/her.

Follow forum rules.

Submit fitting characters, please.

There are no guns, just magic, flying, and melee weapons

No controlling others OC's, I will determine what OC's find when exploring, though.

It is PREFERRED that you keep race to earth, unicorn or pegasus pony (some exceptions can be made if absolutely necessary)

Only 1 OC per player.

Temperament: (Your choices are: lone wolf, loyal friend, group lover)

Starting point: (where they are when the RP starts)

Starting Weapon: your choices are:

 

-Shovel: fast, sharp, doesn't last long

-Pick: Clumsy, inaccurate, crippling and very powerful

-Hammer: Slow, heavy, powerful

-Lance: weak, long ranged

-Steel Hoofs: (only usable by ground ponies) Strengthens "hoof to hoof" combat.

-Spell book: (only can be used by unicorns) helps ponies with magic, it gives a small boost to their spells.

-Flight suit: (only used by pegasi) boosts flight speeds by a bit.

Only pick 1.

I only have one question, are ponies the only characters allowed? I've used ponies so much that I'd like to use a different type of character for a change.

 

 

I would prefer pony characters to keep things simple. We already have a non pony characters.

 

Feel free to PM me if you insist on being non pony. More players are greatly appriciated.

Temperament: group lover ( will swoop on enemies that allies are having trouble with as fast as he can)

 

Starting point: the airspace where canterlot was formally located, on a cloud.

Hm, yes I think we could use more players. I wanted at least 10 players but I had to start early to ensure this was going to start eventually.

Damn dirge. Making me wish I had entered my real oc. Actually, can we enter multiple ocs? And if not, can I try to change over.my oc, I am currently working on a rewrite for Stronghammer anyways.

You cannot have multiple characters. However, at this point, early in the RP, you can change your OC. Just so another submission form please

So...as a side note because I'm not totally sure where anypony is starting or who is doing what but my post in char does include a stop through Ponyville if anypony wants to meet up for the trip to Canterlot. If not then I slip right through and end there anyway to either way. :)

Thanks for clarification manonstilts, if you need to know other's locations just look at thier submition form. If no one is around I am going to tell what sorts of enemies and items your OC will encounter as well as the others OC's.

 

I hope you dont consider this godmodding, haha, but i am NOT controling your characters, just telling what they run into. I would only assume a DM would do that, especially since I dont want this RP to slow down just because we are all seperated.
