Regardless, they have their beliefs about morality.  If you thought something was immoral, wouldn't you strive to stop it?

 

Stop the harmless activities that people engage in behind closed doors? How, exactly? Pelting them with rocks until they stop moving?

 

Dunno about anyone else, but this whole "Morals are objective, gaiz! It sez so in this book!" mentality strikes me as very dark-age. You'd think that in 2014, people would have wisened up enough to stop worrying about whether Billy touches himself at night.

I personally don't care for it, I think I actually read some R34 type of fanfic one time, just for curiosity, and I didn't really get it. So yeah, not my thing.

 

But whatever. Regardless of anyones thoughts it's not going to just vanish, it's been there since the dawn of the internet, and shall remain there mostlikely forever.

 

I am ok with it for the most part unless it is shoved in my face, as long as it's kept away from me as well as possible I am ok with it existing, I just don't want people expecting me to like it either.

Yes I suppose anything regarding waxing the old candle tends to go "hand in hand". The irony is that a lot of old school pagan religions actually encouraged that stuff, they would have temple priestesses and ritual prostitutes and everything.

Refer to my previous post. It is not a matter of whether or not their religion is legit. I'm simply saying we still follow values that date back thousands of years, simply because of what these people tought their descendants. Whether or not a god actually told them that is irrelevant, since god's own morality once again is not absolute. His argument is literally, 'it is of my god's opinion that you shouldn't do that'. Well who cares what his god thinks, even if he is real. That doesn't mean he's objectively right.

Future reference for all future generations: in a discussion such as this one or debates in general, other people deconstructing your opinions is not a personal attack or attempt to quash your opinions under an iron boot of tyranny. It's a debate, and that requires others to review what has been said and create a new argument based off that. There are times when people will take this into the territory of personal attacks, but that's really obvious when it's going on and the discussion can be left if you genuinely feel that way.

 

So please stop saying "LET US HAVE OUR OPINION" when people start questioning it. Please.

Personally I can't say I object to people drawing stuff. It's just a drawing, ink and color on a sheet of paper or screen, nothing more. It isn't like some overwhelmingly good force or anything, but I don't see it as a negative either. A lot of people enjoy it, and as long as it isn't bringing real problems to anyone's physical or mental well-being, then it's fine for one to indulge in it. At least that's the way I see it
