Shadowking58 1,136 July 26, 2014 Share July 26, 2014 (edited) Now admittedly, I've read a couple of the fanfictions over on Fanfiction.net for My Little Pony, and there definitely is some good stuff there if you look hard enough. Mostly what I want to bring into account is how FIMFiction manages their stories, and how they have to be approved. I think that with a system like this there could be room for personal bias, I understand if something has horrible writing and various spelling mistakes it could be rejected. But, if you ask me, downright rejecting stories that while are bad, the point of fanfiction is to get feedback and to improve, and I don't think people on FiMFiction get that chance because of their approval system, while writers on Fanfiction.net do get that chance. King 5,625 July 26, 2014 Share July 26, 2014 I believe they both work in tandem with each other.FiMFiction ensures that every story has at the least basic grammar. You go there if you want to read stories that, whilst many are amateur, have a higher possibility of being really good.As for Fanfiction, it allows everyone to post a story. Not only i can see on the ip/downvotes ratio the rough quality of the story but i can -thanks to the tags- search and filter certain stories. Jeric 46,834 July 27, 2014 Share July 27, 2014 FIMFiction for the very reason @Stellafera mentioned. The filter is easier to use and functionally works. I wish that they would support .mobi files. I would be more willing to jump into the fray myself, but I use a program called Scrivener which is the WP program of choice my many self published authors. While it can export to HTML, PDF, .doc, and .docx ... I lose some control over typography and formatting which drives me crazy. Fanfiction does offer mobile services, and a far wider range of fanfictions, but if I am looking for MLP fanworks, I normally default fo Fimfiction as it is just easier to navigate and sort through. It's where I first started reading MLP fics anyway, and there are a lot of good ones on there, but I'm pretty sure a lot of authors post the stories on both sites. For one thing there are a lot more of them there than there are on Fanfiction.net. That said, I post my FiM stories to both, since I had a fanfiction.net account first and wrote fanfiction for other things before I became a brony.
