A cool action, even if it can seem a bit cringe at some point.

Personally, I interpret it as a dream of Flash's in which he tries hard to, rather than overcoming his feelings of masculine inadequacy, make a virtue of them instead. How successful he is is debatable - note that said dream still makes him a key player in a less than completely logical way. If he really wants to be useful to Sunset and the girls so much, he needs to look to other strengths of his.
