What do you think makes Shining Armor such a good brother in Twilight's eyes?

It's obvious that, when Twilight and Shining Armor were young, she held him in very high regards as a brother and, most likely, she still does. We haven't seen very much of their childhood together, so what do you think Shining Armor has done that makes his sister feel this way towards him?

He was probably her only friend besides Cadence.  That's about it.  Most people like their older siblings and look up to them.

He took care of her very well and he's honest with her (just watch A Canterlot Wedding ).

Maybe he encouraged her to study magic.

He just was there for her. And... that's all. He listened to her, he played games with her, shared his things with her, told her stories. He was close and he cared about her. He was a little like a role model for her and she she felt safe around him. It's just what older brothers do, you know. Nothing more.

Because Twilight didn't have relationships with anypony else, she probably very strongly valued her relationship with her brother. While Celestia and her parents also had a relationship with Twilight, it wouldn't be the same as having someone around your age to talk to.

He seems like a very caring person that spent a lot of time with Twilight doing just about anything. He also attained a high ranking in the Royal Guard, which makes him a role model in a way because she can look up to him, even if she can't serve in the Royal Guard.
