Maressey - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want

Twilight’s been through a lot through four seasons and the finale brought up how important it is to have a purpose and goals you personally want to see happen. Not to stand around and have things happen to you but to choose your own destiny. This is our first Maressey track based on that theme, a group project we’ve been very excited to see fulfilled as well after a few years of planning. It’s our dream to get people interested in mixing the power of The Smiths songs within the characters of the MLP universe. We hope you enjoy this starting point and tune in for new weekly songs from an array of brony musicians taking part in tackling an amazing catalog of songs. Whether you’re currently a Smiths fan or not (or an MLP fan or not) we hope to tune you in to one of the best songwriting groups in music through our covers/parodies/tribute and do our part in merging and honoring 2 fandoms simultaneously.

"Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" is of course originally performed by The Smiths. It was released as the B-side of "William, It Was Really Nothing" in 1984 and later featured on the compilation albums Hatful of Hollow and Louder Than Bombs. You can get the original tracks here https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/the-smiths/id829538 This is a slightly ponified cover track of their original.

Our tumblr is here for news, questions, and updates http://maressey.tumblr.com/

Vocals and acoustic guitar by the amazing Zatslol. He really has been instrumental in tackling our first pair of songs so enthusiastically. https://www.youtube.com/user/zatslol

Additional music, mixing, and coordination by me (Freewave)

Hope people enjoy this track, get excited on the prospect of more tunes by a variety of brony musicians, and take the time to subscribe. We hope to have tracks come out weekly as we work on them.

Will do, thanks!! New track out

This is the tail of the lonely brony, someone who wanted friendship but was to shy to attain it. Probably plenty of such people out there sadly. It's also the second Maressey track and a ponified cover of the The Smiths original.

Credits: This is Zatslol's second vocal appearance for us and he did the fantastic chorus guitar and part of the reverse reverbed "siren" guitar.   https://www.youtube.com/user/zatslol

Andante Skie did the tremolo guitar throughout the track (sidechained to the 1/2 drums he also added).
https://www.youtube.com/user/AndanteSkie

And I Freewave did the rest of the stuff 1/2 drums, 2 basses, part of the siren guitar, additional instruments, and mixing. Was a lot of fun doing all the different parts for a track that has a load of complicated effects to replicate. No sampling done ;)

Man you guys aren't fucking around, pumping out some seriously good sounding tunes. Also no samples? you recorded the drums? If so what hardware? specifically mic, pre amps and compressors on that snare, god damn that beautiful snare.

God damn this whole thing is amazing!

I also liked how it was mixed, it had a nice live and spacious feel. (for me anyway)

But yeah, top job guys keep it up! :yay:  :squee:

Yeah i may do a little video just breaking down how we did the different elements of that track as it was pretty interesting getting the different effects and elements to work. Basically a combination of 2 different drum kit libraries in tandem, 2 bass elements too. (not live, but no loops, but kontakt libraries).  Andante did the tremolo guitar and we double tracked it with a sidechain to an inaudible kick track and at opposing times so that its constantly going back and forth between the hard panned left and right channels.  We did 2 sets of the "wailing guitar" one by Zatslol and one by myself, reversing the guitars, adding long reverb, reversing back, and adding another long reverb. Finally Zatslol does that amazing guitar chorus which really made the track come alive and a fair amount of delay and reverb on that. I doubled his vocals up with different takes (which were very much in sync) during the chorus parts and with varying delay to make a bit more anthemic. A bit of work but a lot of fun to replicate a classic track that's almost impossible to duplicate well in a live environment. :)

Very glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment!! :)

So new Maressey track out, this one far peppier and a bit more stripped down (only 1 of everything; gtr, drums, bass):

Braeburn is transporting a cart of apples to Canterlot as his wagon breaks down. And who should come to his rescue? But a particularly charming white mare in a wagon on her way back to Ponyville. This is Maressey's third track and a tribute to our beloved Rarity and the chance meeting between the element of generosity and our rustic stable boy.

Vocals for this track are by the amazing Morte McAdaver who helped come up with the Maressey project a good 2 years ago and he returned to help see it come to fruition.

All the rest of the instruments are done by Johnny Mare who helped truly launch this project too by working on the instrumentals for 10 of our songs. He's a long time Smiths fan and not even a brony.. A huge thanks to his generosity in making this project happen.

And I did the mixing, mastering, and organizing of this project. Like any track each one brings up little different things to juggle so all the elements work in tandem together. Been learning quite a lot more about production then when i started.

If you like it let us (and maybe EQD) know. :D Cheers!!

In the middle of the night Luna is attacked by an evil force and found in a coma. Celestia is overcome with a wave of emotions from the past regarding her fallen sister, both positive and negative. One thing is for certain, it’s serious…… (no not really).  This is the fourth track from the Maressey project, a ponified cover of The Smiths classic, and sung from Celestia’s pov.

Vocals for this track are by the amazing Faux Synder. She is an amazing talent with a golden voice and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. She really brought a much more emotional tone to the track which I truly appreciate. Her youtube is at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0vN91iUaRln5zF7UGMwttw

All the rest of the instruments are done by Johnny Mare who helped truly launch this project too by working on the instrumentals for 10 of our songs. This is the first track of a several song Flutterdash ship arc. Taking place during the Hurricane Fluttershy episode, this is from Dash's pov (Evdog) as she expresses not just her need for her help but also for something much more. Every relationship starts with a spark but it only truly begins with a question and a reply of "yes". This is the fifth track from the Maressey project, a ponified cover of The Smiths classic "Ask".

Vocals for this track are by the amazing Evdog. I've collaborated with him on more tracks than anyone and he put forth a great vocal for this project. Thanks so much for him helping me out yet again. His ytube https://www.youtube.com/user/EvdogMusic

Backup vocals are by the wonderful Starbreeis. She is an amazing new talent with an amazing vocal range and she was absolutely a joy to work with. She really added something special to this track and I'm very much looking forward to seeing her on additional Maressey tracks in the future and doing some lead vocal work hopefully. Her youtube is at https://www.youtube.com/user/starbreeis

All the rest of the instruments are done by Johnny Mare who helped truly launch this project too by working on the instrumentals for 10 of our songs. And I am Freewave who did the mixing and organizing of this project. I'm here https://www.youtube.com/user/thefreewave

Fire Frets (aka I.Devine) is new to the project and helped master this track and will be helping on some additional track production and guitar work in the future. Really glad to have on some additional support in completing and starting new tracks, His channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC08uwlgUY_T5japdLdJ70HA

Besides a visit from Maude I’m not sure I’ve sure we will see any traces of Pinkie’s family and if it’s miserable as she indicated she’s likely not going back home. This is a song about missing and yet continuing to avoid a painful childhood past. It’s also a Smiths classic b-side.

This is Zatslol’s third vocal appearance for us and he did the right panned guitar. Both of these guitar sessions were done in one take. As you know he is awesome and its a pleasure to have him as part of this project.  https://www.youtube.com/user/zatslol

Andante Skie did the left guitar throughout the track with his new acoustic guitar made by Luna herself.

Coco Pommel has a passion for fashion but her time in Manehattan has been anything but what she dreamed it would be. Long hours of making dresses from other's patterns, an abusive boss, and no one around to look out for her, is there any reason she shouldn't be a bit sad in the big city? This is also a ponifed cover of The Smiths classic track.

This is Zatslol's fourth vocal appearance for us and he did all the guitars, bass, and drums for this track. As you know he is awesome and its a pleasure to have him as part of this project and I'm glad he's now enjoying himself at college for his first year. A big thanks to all the work he's done https://www.youtube.com/user/zatslol

This is basically a brony theme song for dealing with haters and trolls while enjoying what we love (MLP). We may encounter adversity but you don't have to let it dampen your spirit or your enthusiasm. It follows a brony who travels all across the country attending brony conventions. It's also a ponified cover of The Smiths classic.

The most current Maressey Video release (from last week). Trixie gets her very appropriate song.

SylverLining gets the vocal spotlight on this track with one scheduled for the near future.

Still looking for some vocalists, guitarists, and midi musicians if anyone is interested to get to some of the remaining songs.

So news: http://mlpmaressey.tumblr.com/post/104080445398/ok-at-some-point-i-needed-to-think-about-what-the

Ok at some point I needed to think about what the Maressey album would look like and would it be just ONE? While the themes often change each week on the new release I was hoping we'd get to the character arcs where songs start telling stories of several ships, with each song telling a different chapter of that storyline over its course. The best place for this to happen is with the album releases so each album has a theme. Therefore I've proposed collecting the songs in 4 themed albums, with one for Rarijack, Flutterdash, Twiluna, and one a general bronies topics theme. Four just works for the amount of character themes involved and the progress so far on each. .

The number indicates song progress. 5 is a completed song, 4 has an instrumental and a vocal with it in the mixing stage. 3's often have a far along instrumental but are needing a vocal or further instrument work. 2's or lower are very much a wip instrumental draft or perhaps have nothing yet if lower. Any song that is crossed out could have been part of the album if someone took charge and made the song but is otherwise not likely going to be attempted to make it just due to time constraints. They are non essential to album completion so we are likely skipping them. Can't make every Maressey song into a reality.

First Album (Rarijack theme, includes Big Mac, Sweetie Belle, and Spike) 10 songs. This album is closest to done so will be the focus to release first.

RED - Checked out but don't have vocal yet, BLUE - needs a vocalist

  • This Charming Mare (Rarity's Song) 5 Morte Mcadaver
  • Braeburn It Was Really Nothing (the Braemac song) 5 Jeff Burgess
  • Pretty Mares Make Graves (CheeriMac) 3.5 (checked out by Luna Jax)
  • The Mare With The Thorn In Her Side (The Rarijack Song) 5 Jeff Burgess
  • Colt Afraid (SweetieMash song) 4 (need m-f duet vocal, checked out by Simul and Bloo)
  • Panic (Hang the Dubstep Dj) 5 Andante Skie
  • Manehattan (Rarity's Song) 3.8 (checked out by Jokeblue)
  • Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now (Coco Pommel's Song) * 5 Zatslol
  • I Won't Share You (Spike's Song) 4.5 Simul
  • I Know It's Over (Rarity's Song) 4.5 Warbalist and Wife

Second Album (Flutterdash includes Scootaloo + Discord) 9 songs

  • Ask (The Flutterdash song) 5 Evdog and Starbreeis
  • Last Night I Dreamt That Somepony Loved Me (Scootaloo's Song) 4.6 Evdog
  • Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before (Dash's Song) 4.6 Bloo
  • Still Ill (Dash's Song) 3.5 (checked out Vaceslav)

  • Chaos Lovers of the World (Discord's Song) 4 Zatslol

  • Half a Pegasus (The Scootaloo Song) * 3.5 Andante Skie

Third Album (Twiluna Theme, Includes small Pinkie Pie arc, Celestia, and Trixie) 9 songs. Twiluna arc is needing the most attention but could be rescued quickly with vocalist help on Luna and Twi's parts.

  • Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want (Twi's) 5 Zatslol
  • Luna in a Coma (Celestia's Song) 5 Faux Synder
  • Bigmouth Strikes Again (Trixie's Song) 5 SylverLining
  • Well I Wonder (TwiLuna Song) 3.5 (vocalist needed)
  • Stretch Out and Wait (Twiluna Song) * 3 (Warbalist)
  • Reel Around the Fountain (Twiluna) 3.5 (vocalist needed)

  • Back to the Old House (Pinkie's Song) 5 Zatslol
  • This Night Has Opened My Eyes (Maud's Song) 3.5 (Fritzybeat)

Fourth Album (The Brony Album). This one is mainly about the fandom and from our pov. Likely may include some pony songs dealing with background characters that don't fit well in the other 3 mane 6 album concepts. 10 songs

  • How Soon is Now? (tale of a shy brony) 5 Zatslol
  • Is It Really so Strange? (Bronycon Summer) 5 Morte Mcadaver
  • I Want The One I Can't Have (The R34 Song) 3.5 (need m vocal, Johnny Mare too))

You've Got Everything Now (Trixie's Song) * 1

A Rush And A Push And The Land Is Ours (Pete the Changeling)

As always looking for musicians and definitely vocalists who want to take part and make these plans a reality. Contact me if you’re interested.

Dubstep invades Ponyville and many ponies have just had their fill of it and are furious by their sleepless nights and vibrating buildings. Applejack in particular says enough is enough and burns down the local danceclub right outside her farm early one morning. She accidentally sets off a musical backlash that affects all corners of Equestria with dj's fleeing for their lives as mobs of ponies protest against EDM. This track is of course a ponified version of The Smiths classic track. Enjoy.

No dj's were harmed in the making of this song.*** Don't take its msg so seriously.

sig-3307087.img-3307087-1-img-3307087-1-

Just to make my life saner here's the remaining Maressey songs still unclaimed. Most have an instrumental and all need a vocalist currently. I included lyrics for each and examples of what the original track sounds like.

sig-3307087.img-3307087-2-img-3307087-2-

Well I Wonder (Twiluna song)

Stretch Out and Wait (Twiluna Song)
Reel Around the Fountain (Twiluna)

Both of these songs have a bit of mature theme. I hope a brave soul (preferrably a woman vocalist) would be interest in either. Currently i have no instrumental for Stretch Out and Wait but hope to soon.

Part 1    The first Twiluna track (detatched from it being a true relationship and more 2 ships passing in the night with a spark of what may come later)

Well I Wonder (sung by Twilight)

Well I wonder
do you hear me when I sleep?
I horsely cry
Well I wonder
do you see me when we pass?
I half-die

Please keep me in mind
please keep me in mind

Gasping - but somehow still alive
this is the fierce last stand of all I am

Gasping - dying - but somehow still alive
this is the final stand of all I am

Please keep me in mind

Well I wonder
Well I wonder
Please keep me in mind
keep me in mind
keep me in mind

Part 2 of the Twiluna Arc for album #3: Twi and her crush Luna finally spend some alone time during their visit in Canterlot and the differences between the 2 become ever so much apparent. Twi the shy and uptight heavy thinker with a load of questions and Luna the more carefree spirit with way more life experience and living in the now. This is Luna's song to Twi asking her to let her deep and repressed thoughts go and enjoy life and physical delights for a change.

Stretch Out and Wait (Twiluna Song)(sung by Luna)

On the high-rise estates
What's at the back of your mind?
Oh the 3-day debate
On the high-rise estate
But what's at the back of your mind?
Your icy-cold hooves conducting the way
It's the windigo blood in your veins

Amid stone and clay
And general decay
Nature must still find a way
So ignore all the codes of the day
Let your juvenile impulses sway
This way and that way
This way and that way
God, how sex implores you
To let yourself lose yourself

Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Let your pony body lie down, lie down
As we lie, I say
As we lie, I say
Stretch out and stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Let your pony body lie down, with me

As we lie, you say:
Will the world end in the day time?
(I really don't know )
Or will the world end in the night time?
(I really don't know)
And is there any point ever having children?
(I really don't know)
What I do know is that we're here and it's now

So stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
There is no debate, no debate, no debate
How can you consciously contemplate
When there's no debate, no debate
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
wait, wait, wait, wait...

Reel Around the Fountain (TwilLuna Song) (sung by Twilight)

Twilight finally loses her virginity with her long crush Luna with there still being a sizeable maturity difference between the two. It's not everything as glamorous as she expected it to be but it's certainly what she asked for and a giant leap into adulthood. A frank tale of what happens between the two on the grounds in Canterlot.

It's time the tale were told
of how you took a child
and you made her old
it's time the tale were told
of how you took a child
and you made her old

Reel around the fountain
Lay me on the patio
I'll take it now

Fifteen minutes with you
well, I wouldn't say no
people said
that you were virtually dead
and they were so wrong!
fifteen minutes with you
I wouldn't say no
people said
that you were easily led
and they were half-right

It's time the tale were told
of how you took a child
and you made her old
it's time that the tale were told
of how you took a child
and you made her old

Reel around the fountain
Lay me on the patio
I'll take it now

Fifteen minutes with you
I wouldn't say no
people see so much worth in you
and i sure do
fifteen minutes with you
I wouldn't say no
people see so much worth in you
and i sure do
and i sure do

I dreamt about you last night
and I fell out of bed twice
you can pin and mount me
like a butterfly

but take me to the haven of your bed
was something that you never said
two lumps, please
you're the bee's knees
but so am I

Meet me at the fountain
lay me on the patio
I'll take it slow

Fifteen minutes with you
oh I wouldn't say no
people see so much worth in you
and i sure do

This track goes into Asleep with is the final chapter of the Twiluna Storyline.

This Night Has Opened My Eyes (Maud Pie)

This Night Has Opened My Eyes (Maud Pie)

Being Pinkie's older sister Maud saw her come into her dreary world, brighten it, but then leave. In the end it was the best for Pinkie but it also left a lonely emptiness in Maude's life.

At a farm the colour of lead
emerged the baby's head
wrap her up in the hopes of the world
dump her on a doorstep, girl
this night has opened my eyes
and I will never smile again

You laugh and smiled like a silly child
a grown mare nearly twenty-five
she said she'd cure your ills
but she didn't and she never will
so, save your life
because you've only got one

The mare has gone
but her dreams were real
oh you did a good thing
she could have been a poet
or, she could be just a fool
oh you did a bad thing
and I'm not happy
and I'm not sad

A happless child on a swing
reminds you, you're on your own again
she took away your troubles
oh but then again
she left pain
so, please save your life
because you've only got one

The mare has gone
but her dreams were real
oh you did a good thing
she could have been a poet
or, she could be just a fool
oh you did a bad thing
and I'm not happy
and I'm not sad
and I'm not happy
and I'm not sad
and I'm not happy
and I'm not sad

I Want The One I Can't Have (The R34 Song)

A funny take about rule 34 and the angst of being forever apart from your waifu

I Want The One I Can't Have (The R34 Song)
On the day that your mentality
decides to try
to catch up with your biology
come 'round

'Cause I want the one I can't have
and it's driving me mad
it's all over, all over, all over
my face

On the day that your mentality
catches up with your biology

I want the one I can't have
and it's driving me mad
it's all over, all over, all over
my face

A computer desk, a hard drive,
with a wealth of rule 34
these are the riches of the pervs

A computer desk, a hard drive,
with a wealth of rule 34
these are the riches of the pervs

And I want the one I can't have
and it's driving me mad
it's all over, all over, all over
my face

A brony boy who collected rule 34
and he seemed to always be finding more
with a fedora and a goatee
and somehow that really impressed me
it's written all over my face

Oh, these are the riches of the pervs
these are the riches of the pervs

I want the one I can't have
and it's driving me mad
it's written all over my face

On the day that your mentality
catches up with your biology
And if you ever need self-validation
let me help you out with your frustration
it's all over your face

Frankly Mr. Shankley

A general spoof of brony musicians quitting their jobs to become professional brony musicians. An element of truth among the satire.

Frankly Mr. Shankley (Becoming Popular)

Frankly, Mr. Shankley, this position I've held
it pays my way, but it corrodes my soul
I want to make brony music, you will not miss me
I want to go down in musical history

Frankly, Mr. Shankley, I'm a complete wreck
I've got 5 collaborators breathing down my neck
I must move fast, you understand me
I want to be solo featured in equestrian daily

Fame, Fame, fatal Fame
it can play hideous tricks on the brain
but still I'd rather be Famous
than talented or artsy, any day, any day, any day

but sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled
making benefit compilations for the mentally ill
I want to live and I want to love
I want to go to bronycon and do something I'm ashamed of

Frankly, Mr. Shankley, this position I've held
it pays my way, but it corrodes my soul
oh, I didn't realize that you drew ponies
I didn't realize you drew such bloody awful ponies, Mr. Shankley

Frankly, Mr. Shankley, since you ask
you are a flatulent pain in the flank
I do not mean to be so rude
but still, I must speak frankly, Mr. Shankley
Oh, give us yer money

The Death of a Drunken Dancer (Berry Punch's Song) (Checked out to vaceslav)

This song is the ending track from album #4. It can spiral to a climax with the right guitarist or go a trip hop approach if someone want to make it more stripped down. We do have a bare instrumental to sing to currently.

The death of Berry Punch due to a self-inflicted alcoholic overdose reveals a sinister side to Ponyville. Is peace, love, and harmony just a mirage? Does your neighbor even know your name?

The Death of a Drunken Dancer (Berry Punch's Song)

The death of a drunken dancer (low octave)
well, it happens sometimes 'round here
and if you think happiness (high octave)
is a common goal
well, that goes to show
just how little you know

The death of a drunken dancer (low octave)
well, I'd rather not get involved
I never talk to my neighbour (high octave)
I'd just rather not get involved
--------
ahhhhhh
------
Love, peace and harmony? (low octave)
Love, peace and harmony?
Oh, very nice
very nice
very nice
very nice
...but maybe in the next world

Love, peace and harmony? (high octave)
Love, peace and harmony?
Oh, very nice
very nice
very nice
very nice, very nice, very nice
...but maybe in the next world, maybe in the next world, maybe in the next world

Love, peace and harmony?
Love, peace and harmony?
Oh, very nice
very nice
very nice
...but maybe in the next world
maybe.... in the next world

maybe in the next world
maybe in the next world

the death of a drunken dancer
the death of a drunken dancer
the death of a drunken dancer
the death of a drunken dancer

Oh i have

Still Ill (Dash's Song) open for anyone who wants to give it a shot. ;)

"Frankly, Dashie is a bit bored with Ponyville. She has far too big a personality and ego for such a small town. With a town that she's growing out of where nothing ever changes and a relationship she now finds somewhat boring she's finding a pull to move on to bigger things and to let the past go."

I decree today that life is simply taking and not giving
Equestria is mine and it owes me a living
But ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
I know we cannot cling
to the old dreams anymore
no, we cannot cling to those dreams
does the body rule the mind
or does the mind rule the body?
I dunno...

By the iron bridge we kissed
and although I ended up with sore lips
it just isn't like
the old days anymore
no, it isn't like those days
am I still ill? .
am I still ill?

does the body rule the mind
or does the mind rule the body?
I dunno...

ask me why and I'll cry
ask me why and I'll cry
and if you must go back home tomorrow
well if I were you I wouldn't bother
for there are brighter sides to life
and I should know because I've seen them
but not very often

I'm tired of being ignored and dismissed
Their attention spans are short and so swift
it just isn't like
the old days anymore
no it isn't like those days
am I still ill?
am I still ill?

I forgot to post Bon Bon the other day so here it is.

"This song is about my favorite lesbian horse couple Lyra and Bon Bon. This song is sung from the pov of Lyra when she first approached Bon Bon romantically. It's easy to live alone in life and somewhat pessimistically, but why... when there's so much more to life when it's shared with another?"

Collab with SylverLining, Johnny Mare, and myself.

Thanks all! Glad to see some new people in here!

First of 2 vocals by Jeff Burgess! Also hit 200 subs on the channel so thanks to anyone who subscribed. :)

Continuing the story from “This Charming Mare”; A rescued Braeburn is escorted back to Appleloosa after his wagon cart is damaged. Sparks ignite with Big Mac and the stallion while taking shelter in a barn during a sudden rainstorm. Afterwards he’s conflicted about his own sexuality after the unplanned encounter. Mac assures him not to fret and to make his own choices for his future. This track is part of one of the four albums planned that primarily tells the story of Rarijack (and the characters who are also a part of that same storyline). It’s also originally a Smiths classic track.

Alright here is the second Jeff Burgess vocal track. It's also the true kickoff of the upcoming Rarijack album. Later songs will document that relationship like fimfic chapters. Other tangent characters to be included will include Big Mac's 2 songs and Sweetie Belle too.

As Braeburn and Big Mac head back to Appleloosa, Rarity and Applejack continue to squabble at the Apple ranch. Underneath their years of conflict lies a hidden longing that boils to the surface. Rarity is the first to let her feelings be known and Applejack soon reveals they are mutual. What they must soon deal with are the repercussions; will their families and friends understand their choice when the former antagonists become lovers? This is another song/chapter from the upcoming Rarijack album. It's also originally a Smiths classic track.

This is the second track of the upcoming Flutterdash album. Alone in the dark, Scootaloo is again revisited by all the problems of her life. Orphaned, crippled, and utterly lost; Will she ever realize her dreams that are denied her and find the love she needs?

So this is an update to progress of the four themed Maressey albums.  I was hoping we'd get to the character arcs where songs start telling stories of several ships, with each song telling a different chapter of that storyline over its course. Overall this project examines the difficulties of having relationships within different personalitie and what happens when friendships are stretched by having different goals in life. I've gone with Lauren Faust's original concept to have Rarity and Dash fulfill their dreams outside of Ponyville but also the costs of such a departure. The biggest theme of all is how things change and we often feel the loss of tearing away of those bonds.

Here's the state of the four albums at this moment. The number indicates song progress. 5 is a completed song and in bold, 4+ range has an instrumental and a vocal with it in the mixing stage. At this point the first 2 albums are very far along, the other 2 have time to be completed. Every planned album songs has at least a far along wip.

First Album (Rarijack theme, includes Big Mac, Sweetie Belle, and Spike) 10 songs. This album is closest to done so will be the focus to release first.

It's cider season and Big Mac has yet another awkward encounter with an eager Cheerilee. As is usual with most of the mares in Ponyville he is aggressively (and on this night drunkenly) hit on, despite the fact he has no interest in the company of mares. This is also a ponified cover of The Smiths classic.

Vocals for this track are by the amazing Luna Jax. He did a fantastic job on vocals and I thank him very much for continuing his excellent run of being the go to for Big Macintosh songs in the fandom. And I am Freewave who did the rest of the music. Mixing, mastering, and organizing of this project.
