So, apparently you can hit a tree in the middle and get a perfectly cut log:

 

And at 2:15, the CMC climb a rock with snow on it. It only snows ontop of it. Below, it is summer.

 

 

There can be only one explanation for this:

When Discord was free the first time, he played Minecraft - and found it so great that he introduced some of the physics to Equestria.

At least discord didn't play the Fallout games. Wouldn't want him introducing fallout radiation into the world.
