 So, uh... can't find anywhere's else here on the forums to ask for rp advice, but you're the only one I know to about it, @Blitz Boom & it's about your thread anyway, soooo just as well!

 Maybe I've said this before, but I can't really make anypony else come to any other decision. Like, have a goal in mind but if both characters are naturally & rightfully stubborn about it, there's nothing to be done to make it go any further, right? Like, It wouldn't be right for me to just tell @Dji that they're not giving me enough to work on... because they ARE, after all. 

 Dawn isn't happy where she's at enough to listen, Kaltrop isn't aware enough to know the severity of the situation from Dawn's point on things... wanna have my drake reluctantly fly her home & go from there... but I can't just make Dawn tell my character to do so, nor can I make my character come to any realization without it being made clear to him. Have a goal in mind, but no idea how to get there.

 Story of me life!

 Any ideas?

You know, if it's such a big deal, I can just have them shot down. There's still construction going on and they're kinda disturbing the flight routes for the workers, so it really wouldn't be out of character to have some folks *escort* them down. And before you go "Kaltrops is a dragon, ponies can't do that" need I remind you that pegasi are one thing, but the varied dragons, griffons, and such that make up the workforce currently (Since until the deed is done, the Courier's Guild which someone I forgot the name of introduced ages ago, are not gone yet) are able to get something done.

Heck, lemme take it a step further. We have Minotaurs, and there's plenty of rope. I could have Kaltrops roped and forcibly pulled - along with Dawn - straight into the arms of one of said Minotaurs that would then press him down on the ground, and tell him to stay out of the air, or the next time he won't be caught and he'll taste dirt. Crude, yet effective.

I can also have several other things happen if given some degree of leeway to sort you quickly, then potentially also make you play nice, or end up in adjourning cells.

You could also have them crash into the spa. Might make them cool off if they got a proper relaxing treatment. Perhaps then the two of them could actually begin talking and sorting themselves out too then, even if they'd act all tough and mighty on each their respective sides.

Though no matter if you take the suggestions or think of doing something else, I think a good deal of issues could be resolved with proper communication between you two, or your chars. Either add some internal dialogue to fill things and give some direction, or indication that the situation isn't exactly going the best it could, or run some PM's between one another, and figure out a scenario to get sorted down a path, because Widders does have a point. Things seem stagnant, and it needs something to happen to make it get somewhere. Be it crashing, being pulled out, Dawn falling down and Kaltrops swooping down to save her, Dawn just yelling into his ear to let her go at her house or she'll beat him with his own wings, etc. etc. you need to have something happen.

I am not entirely certain if I answered the question there, but if not, then sorry, I must've misunderstood things then. :/

More like he's nerding out and rambling. He tends to do that a lot. That's one of the reasons why the bigger spiderbot he owns tends to smack him. :P She's not as endeared to him as Carmen is.

Though now that I think about it... Have we accidentally laid the groundwork for Thomas the Tank Engine? Darn it!

As for Colsas, neat name. :) Equestria seems to be mostly made from North America as it is, so areas like that makes sense. I look forward to making a *You're not in Colsas anymore* remark. :P Hehe.

I just had an idea! What if that ear Anomaly threw into that portal earlier became some sort of dangerous entity that they now have to stop?

Or we could just have them attempt to find Anomaly a boyfriend (which they could either succeed or fail, both outcomes have potential to be hilarious) and it could result in some ponies running away screaming.

Whoops, thought I responded to this. Sorry. :(

If you want the ear to have blossomed into a dangerous monster than go for it. Evolution is a fickle thing, which is one of the core concepts of Anomaly. She evolves and twists things biologically, and it can't always be controlled how that goes. She started by making the ear able to live on its own and being able to make a cocoon, but what happens in there is out of her control.

And yes, sometimes she lets it run rampant mostly just for the heck of it, and to see what sorta thing would happen. :P A monster would likely thrill her.

Anyway, it's up to you. I'm just gonna roll with it.

Just want to point out... because Ruby actually transforms between the forms instead of mere illusions, in pony form she is just as vulnerable as a pony. Though as the eye trick now and her hiding her eyes and hoofs previously demonstrated, she can also partly transform, and the transformation is instantaneous regardless of the amount.

edit- Also, since it seems like Nada is going to meet Luna and or Celestia at some point, one question...would they recognize her? since she used to sing for the ponies in unnamed town before the sirens were banished, and it has been said in the RP that she knows who they are.

I'm sorry I couldn't reply in time, I tend to be busy these days :(

Also, the train Azure is building is similar to the British HST, but sun powered instead of diesel powered :)

Here is a video of it at full speed, so you can easily imagine the Celestial Express 125 matching that speed ;)

 

Of course the solar train would be quieter and would have a more MLP-like livery ^_^

Uhmmm... excuse me, I hope I'm not poking my muzzle where it doesn't belong... but I'd like to join this roleplay... (Though it seems I might not receive a response till Monday)

May I ask on the current situation? If it's still open to newcomers? And, if the setting still remains?

I'd like to choose one of my characters for it, I haven't made the characters just yet but I'm still interested... and I may have to come up with a new character entirely if the setting has changed.

Hello. :) I can still answer the OOC, or try to at least.

We are still open to newcomers, and the setting is varied now. You can be in Ponyville, Canterlot, Manehattan, Dragon Island, etc. After some time I had to open up for more areas to allow for some more variety in where people wanted to be. :)

Basically, you can be wherever you want, and if something is happening in said area, I can inform you of it, and you can see if you want to be near that, or something else. Whatever I can do to make it better for everyone, including someone new, like yourself. :) So go ahead and mention your character, where you'd like to be, and I will do all I can to make him/her fit in. ^^

I will need some base information like the characters name, general look/picture, personality, a bit about the background, and if the being have any kind of powers, to have that discussed fully. Trying to make sure to not get a Mary Sue, so need to be certain of abilities, you know? :)

If I may, I'm interested in doing Ponyville as that's what attracted me to this... may I know what's going on there? Aka current surrounding characters, and such?

As for character, I haven't made the character page as I'm not sure how to yet- but uhm I'd like to play my character "Butterscotch Puddin'" She's my first oc and I'd like to develop her a bit more. She's an earth pony candy maker, so she has a knack of always carrying candy with her everywhere she goes. Her hobby is playing guitar and singing along to her own made songs and such. Her powers are earth pony strength, her understanding of cooking though she has difficulties with anything other than dessert, and to me every earth pony has a natural understanding on nature so I'd say she knows herbs and understands their healing abilities. 

Uhm... I'm not sure what else... I haven't developed her much.. ^^' But, uhm I'd like her to be visiting Ponyville in search of new candy recipes? I think? Heh :mlp_lie:

Not a whole lot is going on currently. The town got wrecked some time ago after a monster attack, and is in the final stages of being rebuild, with various races from something called the Courier's Guild there to do the brunt of the work. They were NPC's of a former RP'er, but I can't have them leave until they are done, so just consider them to be little more than tools at this point. :)

Celestia and Luna were in town to discuss things with Twilight, but they're more or less on their way, so they can be ignored for the time being. Uhm... There was a sandstorm in the Everfree, after a sphinx landed and turned some of the forest into desert, but that's calmed down now too. Oh, there were also a group of guards fighting a witch at the edge of town for like, 5 minutes before they took the fight elsewhere, which were basically seen by no one.

Basically, most of what went on have already passed around Ponyville. Several of the other things are happening around other places, which leaves the area relatively calm.

Now then, to go on to your character, I think it seems fine, considering you haven't developed her fully. I approve. :) Also, I already have the perfect target for her to visit.

Say hello to Circle Pop. A candy maker of mine who lives in Ponyville, who tends to travel around the world to find new ingredients to work into her own candy. When she's not out travelling for that, or to visit her beloved in Canterlot (He will show eventually, but I won't spoil it) she runs her shop in Ponyville. And funnily enough, she's there now. :P What a coincidence.

Sounds like someone that Butterscotch would like to meet? :)

Dude, goodness hopefully Ponyville is going to be okay. And so too, the forest, but time will tell.

As for Circle Pop, she looks lovely and I'd agree with you they can meet up. Should we do it where Butterscotch has heard of the shop, and came to visit her in particular? Or, perhaps she sent a letter in advance asking to visit, and Circle's expecting her? Uhm today I'm making it my goal to make the character sheet, so once I complete it I'll let you look at it and then we'll go from there. ^ ~^

Always happy to help. Kinda my role here to help, support and welcome, more than being a dictator. :)

I think you can make the visit happen as you like, though if Butterscotch is asking for guidance on the craft, a letter to make sure that Pop would have time would be the smartest. so really, it depends on whatever or not your character is one who would plan things ahead, or rather just take things as they come.

And no worries, Ponyville is fine. No dead, and most buildings that got damaged are repaired. Just for the record: Try to not interfere with the repairs. My character Last Stand is overseeing the rebuilding, as ordered by the princesses, and she's a fanatical royalist. She will make you regret it if the order and work are being messed with.

PHEW! Okay so it took me literally all day to do this profile/skelly for her, it was so hard to come up with everything especially since I haven't developed her much in the first place...

But I don't wanna over do it, so yeah.. hopefully it's enough? Blah... sorry.. Here it is~

As for if we should do the regular approach or letter approach. I'm thinking she would write letters in advance for it, and if you want my first post could be the mailmare delivering the letter. Like, it would say that's she's coming into town and would drop by? Would that work?
