Light suddenly turned pale and felt really disturbed.

" Another big change is happening.... Bigger than Twilight's coronation.... Its waking up and killing a lot of dimensions as we speak....."

Light shivered and stared blankly into space.... And snapped out of it.....

" ..... Sorry about that... The fate stitchers started to move again.... And this time... it's scary...."

@Califorum

" My dimension is dead already so i practically have none. I ended up on where the higher beings are and they use me to fix stuff....and more came and started helping me out... Now im here to appease their worries that this dimension is no threat."

“Our dimension is a threat?” Blue nervously chimed in, “W-Why would they say that? There's nothing wrong in our world!”

“Yeah, I think you said something additions, Light. One plus one equals two. Correct” Luna replied, taking one pancake from Blue's plates in a blink of an eye, much to the latter's chagrin. Luna shot Cali a frown, “Pollution should be eliminated before it becomes much worse as time passes. It's deadlier than any catastrophes combined”

"Oh yes, very safe.  Only minor problems here and there that can't ultimately be avoided by something moving so fast," Cork explained.  Nothing was a completely safe.  A train or two every few moons might derail momentarily or get caught in a snow storm, but statistically still a very safe and quick way to travel.  Pegasi could get tired flying long distances and teleportation was still limited to a small number of Unicorns.  In the end, tried and true Earth Pony travel benefited all.

Their attention was drawn back to the curious mare who took notice of one of the oldest buildings in Manehattan.  "That is the Manehattan Library.  Second only to the Canterlot Library.  Thousands and thousands of books, scrolls, tomes, relics.  A lot of Equestrian history can be found in that old building.  I would recommend stopping by sometime after you get settled to get a hoof up on Equestria," the younger officer recommended.  Sadly there wasn't just a little pamphlet that could do their land justice, so a lot of reading and teaching was required for such occasions.  As would be most likely with any land if one really thought about it.

Grave's excited shriek caused the taxi driver to jerk a little from the sudden loud noise.  Cork waved him down from the little window behind them to assure him that all was well.  "We investigate crimes committed with magic or abuse of magic.  Some criminals don't want to be arrested quietly, so some fighting might be required to capture them. Mm, the O.M.I. you're more scouted than applied to.  Our Captain, Minty Lis Snow Delice, kinda just finds us.  Although we did have one pony apply and get in recently.  Our newest member Junior Officer Scarlett really wanted to help after having a bit of a run in with the O.M.I. not too long ago.  She worked hard and pushed the right buttons, then Minty accepted her.  The best we can do is talk to Minty.  Tussle first.  Oh, good point.  Tussle is second in command at the O.M.I. and our Admin Officer.  We'll start with her first and go from there."

The taxi driver pulled the cart through a large round-a-bout in the center of the city.  Soon stopping in front of a large old fashioned building.  Strong marble columns decorated the front, appearing to hold up the roof of the building.  Outside was a statue of a robed blind folded pony hold up the Scales of Justice that marked the city's Courthouse.  Thirty steps lead from the road up to the entry way into the large building where two local police cops stood guard.  "Here we are, dear."

Light was shocked at luna not noticing the changes that happened.

".....you.... You didn't ... Didn't feel or sense any changes?"

...light smirked and giggled a bit....

" Well sometimes some people don't realize the sudden changes i guess..."

@Califorum

"Surely you sensed them right Cali?"

Going inside the bedroom for guests, my jaw off seeing the room is more tidy and clean than the other rooms, the wooden walls are painted dark brown and entire floor is covered in thick red carpet. There is even a bookshelf, a drawer, and even a study table to the right while to the left are a pair of bed complete with a bedside table and a lamp.

“Yeah, I know both of you are impressed to how this room is much more fancy than the living room. Don't ask me how I got them okay, you don't want to hear the story behind it” Cimex told us.

"Discord is many things my child, but a teacher is not one. In what you say, I hear that he even forgot the basic truth of our kind: Our powers grow worse if we try to withhold them. We are spirits of grand potential. Concentrated, chaotic magic, of many variations, and chaos cannot be detained forever. It will push against the box it was put in until it breaks through.

This is why he fails you as a teacher, even if I am sure he did what he thought was best. Your powers need not be concealed, but explored, and examined, to find a way to make it a gift, rather than a curse. I know of places we can go, where we can do so without causing harm.

"Huh, I do suppose you may be right... Considering the secrets he's kept from me, I'm not sure if I could consider him a friend anymore either. At the beginning, he seemed to be ready to do anything to help me with my magic. But now, he won't even let me leave Chaosville unless it's for school or to run errands."

Quote

It is slightly ironic though, is it not? One of the oldest and most powerful of our kind, and yet Discord fears more than all, that which he cannot control. What cannot be bend to his will? The true fear of one who holds more fear in him, than many believed. One day, perhaps we will meet again, and I can judge if his fears have changed. What I hear, makes me certain at least one fear of his, has been conquered now."

"Yeah, I suppose so... Even if he lost the one thing that helped him face his fears. It was awhile go and he doesn't like to talk about it much, but I've heard some things from Twilight about her. Not sure how he hasn't reverted back to his old ways yet.."

Calamity seemed to be lost in thought, searching for the right things to say. She wasn't sure if anything she chose to say would hit a nerve.

"From everything he's kept hidden from me, whether it be about my past, or how he knew who I was when we first met, I'm sure you'd probably be able to help me a lot better than he has.

Quote

"Are you certain of this? Have you not friends to wish a good time until you return, or belongings to pack? I am not trapping you anywhere, dear child, but it is rare for those that study with me, to be back to their old lives, within a short time. Most goes weeks between seeing those they care for, even if letters are plentiful.

You can handle things for a time if you will. I am in no rush, and can wait for your preparations to be done."

"Well, the only pony I really have is Discord. I-I probably should... mention something to him or he'll freak out. He tends to turn Ponyville upside down and break down the Canterlot doors when I run off. I suppose I'll be seeing you!"

And with that, Calamity scampered off.

“Uh, Omen, I think if that colt wanted cookies, maybe it’s best to just give him the cookies. Not… um, putting the cookies directly in his mouth.”

The tale suddenly went from mildly amusing to surprisingly creepy. No doubt a lot of creatures would find getting their homes broken into already scary enough, having someone try to force feed cookies is decidedly a very odd thing. Or that was how Lin understood the story’s events. As much as she is fortunate that Omen is friendly, there may be more to keep in mind when teaching her about decorum and behavior.

“One thing we definitely learned today: Discord has a very strange way of getting to know other creatures.”

Lin would stick around in the same spot and wait, though with ten minutes already passed and Sen nowhere in sight, she began to grow concerned. It wouldn’t take anyone that long to wash some paint off, unless the paint really stuck to the skin or it didn’t behave normally when in contact with longma hide. If the latter were the case, then seeing Sen in clown makeup wouldn’t stay funny for long. The novelty would diminish after only a few minutes.

The longma would start following in her brother’s hoof steps, tracing what path she could remember. From there she heard Sen’s voice, oddly conversing with several others. Lin was worried for a moment, taking this time to eavesdrop. There were others there, evidenced by the sounds of voices young and old. Only when she turned the corner would she see what really went on.

…No, no, it’s not like that. I can’t fly; the wings are for gliding…. What about magic? I wasn’t born with magic, but I can do this.

The audience gasped, first in horror, then in amazement. Lin would see her brother making a small cut on his skin before it quickly healed itself. She gestured to Rosa and Omen to come and watch as Sen talked out himself to the curious fillies and colts. Some were even fiddling with his wings and seeing some of the scars, a product of a time when his wings were tattered and torn by rocks. The longma didn’t mind it too much, though he asked the young ones not to make new holes.

Alright, it’s been fun meeting you all, but I should get going. My friends are probably wondering where I went…

It wouldn’t take long before Sen rounded the corner to see Lin first, clearly amused by what she saw. Unlike the the earlier incident, this one turned out a lot better, at least for Sen. As it is, this evening turned out to be an interesting one, as Sen posed a question for the rest of the group.

“Had fun watching?”

She removes the spirit catcher from her mouth, "If it was a Sphinx pact then I wonder if the deer put in all these traps to try to avoid their fate?"

"Or perhaps, their leader did, to keep something from being found? Just look at the depictions. The further in we have gotten, the more destroyed they are. And this one showing some regular, non-descript deer, potentially being sacrificed? Whatever happened here, and for whatever reason, their leader did something foolish. I just can't tell yet what it might have been, and what the consequences of it were.

Though I know one thing at least. You can't hide from that sort of magic, in a temple of stone. These traps took a long time to make back in the day as well, even if you did have magic. Either the damage they received were slow - perhaps indicating some kind of curse - or this place were already build beforehoof. If they were making deals with Sphinx, it may well have been that, as these sorts of structures were favored by the sphinx. It may well have been built to gain their attention, or were made by their orders.

Still, we're assuming this first theory is right. We still can't say for sure. Not until we dive in deeper, and find some answers. Though I will say the traps we have encountered thus far, are somewhat weird. Such as the wall. It came at a good time, but it's placement makes it seem like it were meant to trap whoever came to look inside. Why not place it so that it would crush whoever stepped on the trigger? I'm thankful it wasn't, but it would be more sensible."There were much to think of here, that were for sure. And sadly, they weren't able to see much yet, as so much of the evidence they had encountered, had been ruined with age, or deliberately destroyed. It were something he wanted answers too though. And if none were here, he'd seek out some deer, to see if they knew something. They cared for their ancestors, so they may know something about this place.

Fuchsia wonders about the stag and the unfortunate deer herd. The frescos fitted the theme of a foolish proud stag leading his clan into doom inside this place... but what doom and did ancient echoes of it still inhabit this creepy temple?

Fuchsia shudders at the possibility that the entire temple were built in honour of the Sphinx. It was a frightening thought, and one that would fit the traps and general trickiness of the strange temple.

She gets a thought before approaching and holds up the spirit catcher towards the threatening stag-like fresco and she freezes and her fur stands on end as it gives a low chime! She cannot immediately see any source of danger, but she doesn't approach the exit or the fresco, just in case. She feels the sunken eyes of the 'stag' bore into the back of her head as she heads back towards Billowing.

For a brief moment, if she looked closely, Fuchsia would be able to see a pale, flickering light within the left socket of the depicted deer. Maybe it were just a trick of the light though, seeing how brief it were? Though it would likely not help on the somewhat intimidating look she felt it gave off. Even if it were nothing but cold, dead stone.

Billowing reacted as he heard Fuchsia move away from the door, and some kind of faint chime, which he assumes have something to do with the spirit catcher she carries around with her.

"Fuchsia? Did something happen?"

Fuchsia turns her head reluctantly back to the fresco, the back of her head itching with the feeling that it was watching her, and she catches the brief glimmer of light from the stone. A glimmer that did not seem to come from the room, but from the eye of the stag. She suppresses a whimper of fear.

"I think there's something hostile in the wall near the Fresco - near the exit." she says pointing to a strange looking deer who she now sees has been defaced, along with many of other deer depicted.

Quote

He'd look up towards the various depictions of deer gathered up, looking down towards whoever would walk in, or out, of the path forward.

"An attempt at intimidation it seems. Yet even this have been vandalized. I swear, if we find the inner chamber, and see it both looted, and vandalized, I am reprising my theory to include grave robber. Detestable things have no respect for the tombs they rummage through."

He were trying to make more light of the situation, though he did run some tests now with a weary eye, and throwing some pebble, and a bit of the odd water, through the entrance, just to see if something would happen. Which so far, didn't appear to be the case. It would just stay as it were, slightly menacing, and silent.

Fuchsia relaxed a little as nothing happened, hoping that the low chime signified a shadow of hostile magic rather than a current threat - which it often did. "It might be grave robbers? Or maybe whatever happened here... other deer came and destroyed it deliberately?

Fuchsia turned towards the water in the wall furrows which Billowing had been studying, looking at them with interest. She did have a few vials on her for sampling rare soluble substances, although she was too much of an amateur alchemist to have any but the most obvious mineral tests on her. "What do you think is making it glow and run upwards like this?" she asks and takes out a vial, uncorking the stopper to collect some.

"Do not be too harsh on him, child. He have failed in teaching you, and only tried to mitigate what can happen. Had he no love for you, or thought you beyond salvation, he would have locked you away, long ago. Just as we once did to Regrowth, wherever she may now be.

If he asks why you are leaving, tell him that you are getting help, as you do not wish to end up like her. Lest his memory have been purged of her, he will understand."

Poor Regrowth... A beautiful, passionate draconequui, who could create such exquisite wonders. And yet too, were the duality of her nature, as she were the spirit of destruction, much as she were creation. To make room for the next, the old had to be removed. For a time, they tried to speak to her about this, but she were set in her ways of damning life, before remaking it in what she saw as a better version, at the time. Or a path she felt might be wiser to lead life towards. Or simply, because she felt it should be done, to see how it would be. And that anger she carried... Much as draconequui could be emotional, she truly were as fiery as the fires which had birthed her to begin with. She loved new life with a passion that could hardly be contained, yet too could flip in an instance, and destroy that life with hatred, or great fury, for what seemed the slightest wrong.

As it were not possible for their kind to have fun in a world, that she kept not warping, but actively try to reduce to cinders, to have it all rise anew, time and time again, a good deal of them had gathered, and sealed her away in a small statue. It was a shame it had to be done, but even if Fright were as she were now, and not the horror that lurked in the shadows, to sow fear and paranoia, she would be uncertain if her sibling could be helped. One could only hope that when she would eventually return, she would be more reasonable, or at least prove as incapable of rational thinking for long enough, to make it easy to trap her again. Though all of this would be a lot easier, if Discord hadn't long since lost the statue... *sigh* Why they ever thought it a good idea to let him have this, were beyond her.

"I believe it may be because he have companions whom he now trusts in. The fear of being alone, is a powerful one, and Discord have most often either been alone, or feared those who went close, wished only to make him the punchline of their jokes. Even if he will test these friendships of his, to make sure they are genuine, I know him enough to say with confidence, that he would cling to anyone who thought of him as their friend, and not try and end their normality, long as he keeps believing that things are going well.

I will not say he and I ever got along well, but I saw much from a distance, most of the time. He did not like that I could sense his fears, and I had little regard for how he spoke to me, and took the shadows away to annoy me. His little lackey were not much fun either. A strange creation, devoid of any fear, or much else. She felt hollow to me, though he seemed to enjoy her presence for a time. Though I imagine her memory have long since faded into obscurity."

Fright would wave calmly at Calamity as she went off, and wandered to the side, so that carts could once more pass by her. IN the time she'd wait here, she would certainly get some looks, but as she didn't harm anyone, and her aura had a rather calming effect, she were overall left alone. Though a few here and there would be gathered nearby once Calamity would eventually returned. Sitting on their flanks, basking in her shadow, and meditating with their eyes closed.

"- and keep your focus on that."

There were scattered nods, as the ponies kept peacefully sit where they were. It seemed like Fright were sincere about not wishing to cause harm, and just being here for help.

"So that means I should have left?"

"Yes."

"I will remember that."

Discord really had mucked up this poor mare a lot, if she didn't grasp this. Though in some way, were it even Discord's fault? The breaking and entering were most definitely, but the other way of dealing with things, might have been somewhat *normal* back then, as he could imagine that with everything Discord did, having a cookie shoved into your muzzle, might be seen as pretty tame and reasonable, to a point where it might be a small sliver of normality, to calm them down. Likely didn't hurt either, that according to some tales, your house might decide to just up itself, and leave you behind randomly back then, or the walls would go invisible. So yeah, wasn't like randomly wandering into somepony else's life sounded like it'd be any hard, and Discord just in general, weren't historically known to care much for rules.

20 hours ago, EQ_Theta said:

“One thing we definitely learned today: Discord has a very strange way of getting to know other creatures.”

"We can only hope that he have enough decency to have changed that now, though I have my doubts. This seems like something he's consider a minor rule to break, long as he went into the house of someone who knew him. Just a guess though. I have yet to experience anything but stories when it comes to him, and it makes me wary of what might be the case with him now. In the past one could at least suspect him having no boundaries, or decency. These days, it is hard to tell how much have changed. At least for me, as the stories of how he is now reformed, are rather scarce, compared to the ones of his previous nature."

It were nice with a bit of chatting to make time pass along, even if some of that did come down to trying to sort through the madness that were Omen's teachings, according to Discord. Yet time would pass, and Sen be taking quite a while, all things considered, and Lin would get impatient. Rosa felt rather sure that he were just stuck in a line, but it didn't hurt to make sure to look for him, and it were best if they did not split up too much. Omen could find any of them , if they got lost, but it would take longer for the rest of them. So he'd follow along, and shortly after him, would Omen wander. Though she wasn't sure why they were going away, as things seemed to be normal right now.

In short time, they'd find Sen, and find that he were talking with some other folks here. And doing quite well really. There were no sense of animosity, and he were being rather pleasant, whilst seemingly not being looked down upon. He were just being treated as a curious new sight to some, and they were asking him things to be more wise to what were with him. Simple and harmless, and so far, seemingly done well for both parts.

A gasp did spread around once Sen decided to show off his self healing capabilities though, but if you took away that this were real, and not a show of illusions, it was still something that could be considered as an act. A shock act, to be more exact, which tended to focus on apparent mutilations, and the sort of magic that made you gasp in intrigue and horror. Not the most widely spread sort of performance, but it had a certain morbid fascination to it, and stood out among the more general, harmless fun you'd see around.

When Lin waved them over to look from a better angle, Omen would wander over, and join the crowd having a look at him. Rosa had already done so before, and as such, didn't need to move further. Including a bunch of fillies, curious about his scarred wings, and watching in curious fascination. The innocence of youth well shown here. Simple curiosity, without any sort of prejudice, or fear. A nice, calming way for things to go, that Sen were likely welcoming. At least considering the alternatives.

"Quite. Though honestly, I simply find it a positive to see you open up to those around you, and educate them on what makes you curious in their eyes. It is a good way to spread awareness of yourself, and your kind, in a way which makes others feel more enlightened and curious, rather than paranoid, or worse. You're doing well dealing with others, is essentially what I mean. Though your little cutting trick seemed somewhat excessive. Unless you are considering a career as a chock performer? It's not a bad trait, if it were. Not too many does it, so there is less competition to get noticed, though I imagine your little slashes and bruises does still hurt. One reason why mostly those doing it, are simply faking it, through sleight of hoof, or illusions."

Rosa weren't aware of Sen's healing potential, as the point where it truly went up for debate, were before he made contact with them, so he didn't know what the limits might be. Nor had any real wish to test it, as that were rather nasty to do to another creature. Doubly so, when it were one you referred to as a friend.

Seriously, this place were nearly a hotel room with how grand it looked. A beautiful mixture of color and tone, that made it feel warm and cozy. The bookshelf were a nice touch too, that really gave it just that little sprinkle on top, to make it really polishes and homely.

As for the story behind it... Maybe she were right in them not wanting to spoil the pretty looks, and be told something like, the carpet were drenched in blood, or every night at 3AM, the bed would come to life, and scream for an hour. Didn't have to be haunted to do that sort of thing, but just cursed, or afflicted with some sort of illusion, by a prankster, or kitsune.

"If you don't want to share how you got this place to look like it did, I'm not going to ask, but I would like to know more about you. Like, how did you and Razor know each other? We sadly don't know too much about that, but he put a lot of faith in you. I can imagine it must have been a close bond you had."

Razor were likely still there, and at this point, the only one who couldn't hear or see him, would be Cimex. The others present were Sorrow and Windy, who could both spot the spirits - even if the latter did still not seem to understand the importance of that - and the rest were ghosts themselves. And if Razor wanted to relay a message, he could get it through if not the ghosts, then at least Windy and herself. He may wish to say something to Cimex at least, who had likely been sad after his passing.

I bet your history's nice and dull too. Not a whole bunch of monster fights, and corrupted gods. Not constantly, anyway. Not when everything seems so nice and, y'know, not broken. That, or your protectors are reeeeeeally good at their jobs. Hehe. Oh, I can't wait to learn all I can about this place."

A whole new home, with a different culture, history, customs, norms, etc. She were gonna have to go through a lot to fit in well here, but she were excited to do so. She loved sitting down with a good book, and a place that big, filled with them? She could end up spending weeks in there, no problem. Not in a row though. They probably didn't allow you to nap in the halls, and frowned on eating and drinking in there too. Which were perfectly understandable, and she didn't have an issue checking out every now and again, to go do work, or look for something, help others, etc. Just meant there were more for later.

And the first order of business there, were definitely gonna be the history books. Recent few centuries for a start, then check further back, depending on what she found. Though laws, and how things were done here, would be grand too. The more she knew, the less odds of her continuing to cause severe culture clashes, as the way things were done in Harrowmark, would likely not fly here a lot. And she got the gist of the basics so far, to not go entirely off the rails. Like, no necromancy, or setting fire to whoever laid down dead. The extremes and dark stuff, seemed easy enough to grasp. It'd be small things like greetings, and difference i how one saw gestures, that she'd likely stumble with for the longest.

What kinda crazy pony wouldn't they end up thinking she were otherwise?

"Whoops, heh... Sorry about that. I just got a little overexcited.

I think it's best if I go and try to speak to Mrs. Tussle then, when there's time for it, right? I mean, I'm new to this country. How would Minty even know about me in the first place? Best to go and make myself noted, and then hope that Mrs. Tussle will pass the word along to your caption, who Then sees if she got any sort of interest in me. I promise that I'll be on my best behavior when I meet them, and try not to do anything weird. Is there something special I should do that will help here? Or should I go and ask your junior officer how she did it? Maybe she have some tips on what to do, and what not to do. I'm all for being stubborn on this, but maybe it won't look so good, if I end up coming of as sorta obsessed and crazy. I really, really wouldn't want to mess this sort of thing up, and have your bosses think I'm crazy. That'd really tank my chances for sure."

Hardly a time to stumble with her words more, before she'd up up physically stumble, due to the cart stopping up, and her wobbling a bit towards the entrance. She had to get used to this sort of transport eventually, but ergh. A little bit of tie to go with here, okay? And she wasn't falling into Cork or anything like that. Just a small wobble, and a side step, and then the door would open up to show the... Vaaauw.

Her eyes were full of wonder, as Grave wandered out of the cart, and watched the large building in front of it. No one would really have to tell most that this was the court house, looking at it now. It just oozed importance, and would at the very least been someplace that Grave would have asked about, had she spotted it on the way to try and find the courthouse. The local protectors standing guard at the entrance, would've also made her think this might be the place, but

Her eyes especially fixated on the statue though. A strange sight for her, that she fixated on like a tourist seeing a weird painting.

"What's this? Is this one of your heroes? Looks like someone who held great power. Maybe kept the law in a bad time?"

@Silicon Chimera

Orchid would reach over and calmly put a hoof on Silicon's shoulder, as she appeared down-throdden about not being a traditional mare. He'd move in closer, but he had a cat eating on his back, so he had to be a little flexible here, and he could still do this at least. As well as giving her a warm, encouraging smile. His eyes were kind and warm too, as he looked at her through his glasses, and prepared to try and pep her up a little.

"Listen not to the voice that says you are not like others, or you will only be weighed down by worries and bothers. You may not be like them in the traditional sense, but try looking through this with a different lens. Life is seen often as those with a soul, and you do have that part, that makes you feel whole. So are you not a wonder of life as we are? A twinkling star, whom deserves to reach far? A life as precious as any, your only quirk being, the very thing I am seeing: That you are a more special wonder than many."

A peculiar life for sure, but just as deserving of love and opportunities as the rest of them. Something which he hoped, she would in time get to realize. Life were life after all, no matter how it had come into being.

"As for travel, why not join me wandering through gravel? Through stone and sirt-filed roads we wander, to witness the world so full of wonder. A companion more would be quite okay, and you would not wander aimlessly every day."

"Your magic with flasks...I never heard of any sort of magic of that nature besides witchcraft or alchemy perhaps...it is quite potent and easy to underestimate as I did admittedly. Ponyville...who would even name a town that?" Magnolia huffed slightly, finding that name a bit dubious in all honesty. "As for...helping I am not sure I'd be any good at that. I want to help you...for us to help each other before we do anything else, right? At least, I'd think that is a good plan..."

"It is an odd power, but I find myself thankful to have found a way to make the best of it. And make no mistake: To some degree, I were lucky in our fight. Especially when it came to the pixie magic. It is a wildly unstable thing, so there were no guarantee it would go well. Frankly, I had hoped it would teleport me towards the other end of town. Instead it just shimmered me a little ahead, and make my stomach churned. The explosion could also have gone horribly wrong. It were a minor miracle that it went as well as it did, and I hit that haystack. Had I not managed to get some distance, you would likely have won the fight there and then."

She let out a small sigh of relief. It really could have gone either way, though thankfully, it had ended in the best possible outcome. No one had died, only a few got hurt, and they were now headed towards a much better, brighter future.

"Whatever comes next, we'll get through it though. And hopefully if we help others, they will see you for all that you are, and be thankful whenever you get to their towns. Always room for more heroes in the world, right?

And the story... I-It's okay. It's a short tale anyway. I were just travelling to Zebrica for a study course, and my entire group ended up getting taken by some hooligans. I'm still not sure what their motives were, but they stuck us in cages, and started to wander around, and poke us with spears, and making some sort of odd comments. They appeared to be very inebriated by something, so I'm not sure they really had a plan, but that would likely have gone over fine enough. We thought so at least, until this dark robed equine showed up, handed them some coins, and told them to leave. He were... Quite intimidating, I must admit. Even if all I could see, were a scarred muzzle, and a narrow, yellow eye looking up at us, while he withdrew this ghastly looking, glowing dagger.

My husband to be came in then. Charging from the bushes and trapping him in his net, before smashing that into a tree. The tree broke, and so did the griffon, into smaller, wooden pieces, that crumbled on the ground with a large hissing sound. It were apparently some sort of magic trick, and he had escaped, but either way, he made sure this one were handled. Then proceeded to round up the ones who had trapped us, and got them tied to a bunch of other trees.

He was a very energetic fighter. Meek if you just looked at him, but a powerful force when he got into things. I were quite stricken. And when he came to the cage and h-he held out his h-hoof..."

This last paragraphs of hers had started off well. She had looked ahead, almost dreaming, and with a warm smile on her face, as good memories came in. She even rose her hoof up and held it in front of her, as if she were trying to touch someone.

But then came the memories of him, and the crushing blow of knowing that he were dead, and she'd never have more of him, than simply these memories. Her smile faltered as the words started to fail her. Tears began rolling down the side of her pained face, and the outstretched hoof, shook as if she were freezing. She couldn't say more after that, though her head bowed down, and her hoof slowly went towards the ground, and she wept again. Sobbing, as the look on his face filled her with longing for him once more.

Magnolia would thus address Gretha with a sigh of relief. She wouldn't know how she would have felt if Greatha actually did eat ponies. Then again, she could be lying but Magnolia wouldn't question. "Riddle me this, what is your...advice on moving forward from a life of pain and...suffering?" she would ask in hopes of Gretha speaking something wise to her and Zeelva. They probably needed it after all.

"The way forward, starts with accepting that your lives are short. You can't let the precious little time you have, be filled with nothing but regrets. As you can hear sadly, it is easier said than done. Some wounds cut deep, and not everything can be forgotten. But you need to eventually accept that everything that have happened, good or bad, is in the past. It can't be changed. You just have to accept that it did, and look at what you can change instead: Your future.

Wallowing in pain never leads anywhere good, and your years are few, little one. You can't be wasting years of them on grief, or regrets. Try instead to think of how you can improve your life, and change what you think went wrong."

Then she would look to Molotov. "For my world we have some bases on the Moon, and plans to put stations and bases on other nearby planets however there have been action to curb fossil fuel usage last time I was there. Like making more electric vehicles, etc. I don't know much about that but, I hope my planet finds its way. But I'm not going back there, its not a very nice place. If you want some rocket plans though...I might have something." Cali would pull out a few books she had stolen from the government once, detailing various rocket plane, engine and thruster designs. It was in English so they were able to be read. She also pulled out a few stolen blue prints for such things as well and handed them to Molotov, awaiting his reaction with a bit of a grin.

"You actually have settlements on the moon? Wicked! Mom would've loved to go there just once, to see what it would look like. Even if your world does seem like it's a little wobbly on the edge there. Best of of luck to the- Is that blueprints?!"

Molotov would reach for one of those first, and more or less ignoring the books for a start. Eager with anticipation, like a little colt, he'd roll one out, to find a very detailed schematic of a fuel tank and thruster. He were as giddy as could be, though soon after, he'd start to frown, and turn the blueprint a little.

"Naw, that can't be right... Can it? It looks like... Yeah. This looks like a death trap. The fuel gain is ingenious, but there's forced too much power into this thing. It'll have a good chance at exloding for the slightest, reason, and churning through so much fuel, that it's insane. Powering up one of these things, would let out more smoke into the atmosphere in a minute, than the entirety of Center Zero did in a year. Jeez, no wonder your dimension's going to bad places, when they run stuff like this.

The design is good, but it needs a rewrite. Some rewiring, cutting out most of this tank all together, and running it on something more renewable, like midnight orbs... Alright, alright. Maybe there's something that can be learned from this. Can't see a speck of anything magical in it though. Is that place you're from, keen on not using magic, or something?"

He'd barely notice how his food had arrived as he looked this over. Which were a tray containing a foal menu hayburger, hayfries, BBQ sauce, a small bucket of honeyed wheats, and a grape soda. His own order were right next to Blitz's, and were exactly the same, just adult sized.

And wouldn't you know it, she came bouncing out of the ball pit soon as she saw it, and jumped right over to the table to devour her meal. With all the enthusiasm of a hungry, sugar-addled kid of any kind.

Luna shot Cali a frown, “Pollution should be eliminated before it becomes much worse as time passes. It's deadlier than any catastrophes combined”

"Oooh, what sorta things is happening? Is it special? Does it involve grenades?!"

Blitz were not sure what were going on here, but she felt talkative as always, and wanted to butt in with something between chomps of her rapidly vanishing meal.

"Don't get your hopes up, sis. It's rarely the case."

"Awh. More things need to be started with explosions."

"Couldn't agree more. But what was it you were saying, Light? Something about a change, and dimensions dying? Because of something that's reminding you of when Twilight got winged up? What's that all about? Cause I didn't feel anything either, and not sure if you're fibbing."

"I've talked with Twilight. She's a nice pony, but really worried bout lots of things, and keeps asking tons of questions. *Why's there a filly in the forest? Where's her parents? 38 minutes ago, Fuchsia said:

"I think there's something hostile in the wall near the Fresco - near the exit." she says pointing to a strange looking deer who she now sees has been defaced, along with many of other deer depicted.

38 minutes ago, Fuchsia said:

Fuchsia relaxed a little as nothing happened, hoping that the low chime signified a shadow of hostile magic rather than a current threat - which it often did. "It might be grave robbers? Or maybe whatever happened here... other deer came and destroyed it deliberately?

Billowing would be checking out the fresco as they spoke on, to try and ease the mind of Fuchsia a little. At a reasonable distance, of course. Wouldn't want to risk something bad happening this simply, right? Though he couldn't really see anything glow up there just yet.

"It could be grave robbers, deer returning to obscure history they did not want exposed, or even the ones who build it, ruining it as they left. We sadly don't know enough about the story to tell. I can just say that it looks very deliberate. Somepony would have needed to do this with purpose and.

As for this thing, I can neither sense anything, nor see anything wrong. Some glass slivers for eyes, still seem to be present a few places. Maybe that is what you saw? If it's something magical, it might not be anything though. We haven't gotten harmed thus far at least."

He'd try throwing some magic at it, and see if that did something, but nothing were meddling at all. Perhaps Fuchsia were just a little on edge, considering their predicament?

49 minutes ago, Fuchsia said:

Fuchsia turned towards the water in the wall furrows which Billowing had been studying, looking at them with interest. She did have a few vials on her for sampling rare soluble substances, although she was too much of an amateur alchemist to have any but the most obvious mineral tests on her. "What do you think is making it glow and run upwards like this?" she asks and takes out a vial, uncorking the stopper to collect some.

"And regarding the water, I can't say for sure. I assume the color is due to an algae of sorts, of some of those have bioluminescence. But the direction is perplexing. Were it a new installation, I could explain it away using new technology. Yet this place is somewhat ancient in nature. It should not have this sort of thing, unless it were magically implemented. And why anypony would do so, as well as how, considering the age of this place, is beyond me. It seems impressive that it have lasted this long though, yes?"

Taking a sample would reveal that the water were simply just glowing water. Didn't seem to be hostile or anything. However, the stream would then begin to have a hole in it, as it cycled on, corresponding to the sample taken, and any water spilled, would float right back into the stream it were taken from again. This were definitely magical in nature, though why would that be? It were simply bizarre.

"Now that seems interesting... Hmm, I have an idea. Try and block the streams entirely, so there are holes of simply air in there. I may be off base here, but I think this might hold more importance than we thought at first."

And he'd be right. If they tried this, and collected/blocked the streams, there's be a point where the spaces with onl air lined up, and the streams would stop. When that happened, a ssection of the wall opposite this would rumble, and slowly sink into the floor, revealing a secret passage. One which would go on for a while, in complete darkness, witht he walls scorching beyond recognition. Not even this one had been saved from this, it see,ed. Not at the top, anyway.

"Now This is fascinating. An escape route, mayhaps? Do you think we should examine it?"

Cali laughed at how Molotov had reacted although with with a knowing look. "There is no magic, you see. So we have to rely on the physicals world to create the things we wish you know. The amount of fuel needed is what makes these rockets expensive. Most used Liquid Hydrogen and Oxygen through various reactions to create a steady flame to rise it up into the air, or Oxygen and Methane. You would be surprised how often these would work, although you would not want to be around them when they explode." Cali would say and gesture to his food, reminding him to eat.

Then she would pull out another blueprint, showing how the Apollo 11 was sent to the Earth's moon. It was this image below but the moon was more appropriately colored. She would smirk, but made it clear that the image was not to scale.

Spoiler

EDifGGX.jpg

Then Cali would explain what was on this blueprint as best as she could, really. "There is a hell of a lot of math and calculations needed. I'd really recommend some sort of AI or automated process that of which calculates what is needed. I do not know the mass, density, or gravitational pull of your world nor do I know of this world's orbital constant and that of it's moon. There is more, but that is outlined on the map. We have done this process for many decades. We have perfected it so that it is a lot cheaper to perform such missions...not only to our Moon, but that to other worlds too..." with that she would pull out another blue print. "I like to collect these things. But I can let you have them." she would smirk rather sly at that.

In the images shown below, she'd pull out posters of each. Each detailing various things. Planetary orbits. Paths. Masses, sizes. And orbital trajectories.

Spoiler

Cali would explain this image showed one of the Mars missions and emphasized certain points, the orbital insertion, planetary orbits and such. She would also tell him thisi mage was not to scale, but that the concepts were entirely real and used in the real world.

UAE's March to Mars

This one would also show the planets Vulcan and Hephaestus. 2 small Pluto Mass worlds orbiting extremely close to the sun. The Vulcanoid Belt (zone of asteroids around these planets) was also shown. Molotov would also see on this diagram the orbits of the Dwarf Planets, as well as various details of them as they were classified as planets where Cali came from. The Ice Giant planet, Tartarus with its entourage of moons was shown as a very dark mysterious world, with an orbit taking around 20,000 years to complete around that of the sun.

World___Travel_and_Tourism_The_most_deta

Cali would also give him the diagram of the binary star system of the Sun and Nemesis. It was this graph here but the graph showed that Nemesis existed for real, and that Nemesis also had its own planets located around it. One of which was habitable. These discoveries were a big shock to the world when they were uncovered.

Far Future Horizons : Nemesis: The Sun's Evil Twin

Cali then would let Molotov and the others take in all of this information, hoping they would understand. If not, she would explain it for them. "I know I may be insane, but this is the real deal here. Your world does not know of these things. I am happy to provide more should you be interested. Perhaps we could usher in a new age of your world's understanding of physics, cosmology, and the like on top of building your robots and possible rockets. I hope you take this with an open mind." Cali would speak more truthfully here.

Magnolia would watch as Zeehva sobbed, laying on Gretha's back in a weeping fashion. She would look to her for a few moments as if unsure what to do. She never comforted anyone before and looked to her a bit longer with a soft sight. Magnolia would reach a hoof out and gently pat Zeehva's back. "L-Like Gretha said...we have to move forward no matter how painful it is...or can be." Magnolia would look to Zeehva's sobbing eyes.

She'd sigh again and lay down beside Zeehva, her eyes close to Zeehva's. The crying friend of hers made Magnolia feel a bit sorrowful as she listened to her tears. "Your husband...lived a very successful life that many would...wish for but there was a saying many ponies would say once...don't cry because it is over. Smile because it happened...but in my case there is not anything to smile about...but in yours there is. You probably had lots of good time with him...at least I hope you did. My words may not mean much as...I have my own pain but trust me...I am with you. You aren't alone." Magnolia said more firmly for 'you aren't alone'.

Magnolia would have pulled Zeehva more closely and just proceeded to embrace her in an attempt to make Zeehva feel better however the way she did it was somewhat awkward considering she probably wasn't much good at this. But Magnolia had hoped. It was the the thought that counts, right?

Magnolia looked into Zeehva's pained eyes. "We will both move forward...in time however there will be struggles along the way...I know that I really don't know what I am saying but...it will get better as Gretha said. We will get there..." Magnolia would force a hopeful smile. Truth be told, she did not know how to smile so it was likely also quite awkward or not fitting. She had spent too far of her life scowling and hunting for power, she did not have a genuine smile for a very long time.

To Gretha she would speak next. Although her words were more soft than one could think but it was also a great deal of awkward. She didn't want to disturb Zeehva, hopefully she had helped her feel better. "Wise words...wise words...unfortunately its going to take more than just words...but experience. Hopefully we can make a better change in our lives...for myself especially. I hate to ask this of  you...but is there a way we can remain contact? We can learn so much from you." Magnolia spoke rather thankfully, yet her tone didn't really fit. She hadn't really figured out how to make her expressions match her intent.

Ruby just nodded in agreement, Leviathan's suggestion was about what she was going to do anyway, she was just someone who had been hired to do a thing, she didn't know, or care why someone talked a language and what it was, and so on, it helped that Charir looked different compared to the usual Equestrian dragons, since he wasn't one, because that gave more reason for why even other dragons wouldn't understand him.

"It depends who you ask, there's no one meaning for Elder dragon." Ruby explained "But there is two more common uses, those who are past seven or so thousand years, older we get, less precisely we count our age, and those who lived during the time of the civilization." "Former does exist, deep in the inner parts of the homelands, older we get, harder we are to kill, so as you go deeper into the homelands, older the dragons you see will get , younger you are, closer to the edge of the homelands your territory will be." "But the latter, is a mystery." "It is known that there used to be a civilization before us, the evidence is plenty, but there is no known living dragons, or dead ones, that are that old." "It's almost like they just vanished."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"No worries, I don't get easily bored." Scarecrow said, before starting to move to somewhere where they would be out of sight, he didn't want outside ponies getting involved "As I said, it is something I wish to keep between us, thus my preference for place with visual privacy." "But shortly put, there's a certain undead wishing to move on, and they are hopeful that you could be some help with that." "Though don't feel bad if it turns out you can't, it has shown to be a....troublesome thing to get rid of." when they would be somewhere private enough, he wouldn't waste time and would tell Crow to separate "That undead is me"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm actually a tinkerer of sort myself too, but you are right, if anyone in this place knows about these..." Trox gestured at his cybernetics "...it would be a tinkerer."

For the point regarding limitless magic, the siblings didn't comment anything, when they spoke of magic, they meant the types that any creature could use in one form or other, the magic of gods or god like beings were outside their understanding and capabilities, and the only ones they knew capable of using those were the two sisters, who in their world were pretty much gods themselves.

"Since our injuries had healed during our time in the darkness, our biggest problems here were exhaustion and lack of food, and we have now rested and gotten food." Sheska pointed out "And while we are far from being at our best state, we are quite resistant little lizards, we are used to being in a weak state." it wasn't that they weren't still feeling weak, they just had learned to ignore and hide it "And while there is technology that can revitalize and while I would not be surprised by soul steal tech, mine are neither, but they do help, as they can be used even if my body is otherwise out of energy." they were also small, which had it's own advantages.

To Onache's last point, the siblings looked at each other thoughtfully "You may actually be right, it could make sense...also, you mentioned Discord, he's a mystery where we come from, both sisters claim to have destroyed him, yet it is believed by most that he just left, some don't believe he ever even existed." "A weird story that one."

“It’s a lot different when someone is genuinely curious. The attention feels more natural, and how being able to talk to others to ease concerns. That part feels good. You’ll never believe it, but those little fillies and colts who asked me to perform some tricks for them earlier recognized me. They’re the ones who started the conversation. Next thing I knew, their parents and few other creatures gathered around and started listening.”

“Cutting your hide and showing off your rapid healing was an odd choice for a demonstration, though. I suppose this should be a one-off show. It might give others the wrong impression of the longma if they see you heal that fast.”

“Yeah, but I’m not you or Omen; I can’t open gates. And I think you have an interesting talent that doesn’t have shock value, right, Rosa? I had to do something to entertain the crowd and make their time worthwhile. Not gonna lie, it stings when I do it, so I try not to cut deep.”

Frankly, this was a somewhat better alternative. The onlookers were interested enough to stick around and see what was going on. From Sen’s point of view, it was better than the awkward stares he got earlier, and being able to speak with young ones who expressed genuine interest in his appearance and background was a nicer feeling. Likewise, it was also good for him as he was distracted from remembering an experience he’d rather forget, especially when his rapid healing factor had to work overtime to keep his body from fully rotting away.

At that point, the siblings were a little stumped on what to do next. Lin had something in mind, but she’d want to get the others’ opinions on where they wanted to go next. Knowing how much time had passed since they first entered the carnival, it felt like time was no longer on their side. Only one thing remained on Lin’s mental checklist of things to do.

“So, uh… any ideas where to go next? I was thinking about visiting Abacus again for Shrimp’s sake, but if there’s something anyone wants to do, I’m up for it.”

"Do not be too harsh on him, child. He have failed in teaching you, and only tried to mitigate what can happen. Had he no love for you, or thought you beyond salvation, he would have locked you away, long ago.

If he asks why you are leaving, tell him that you are getting help, as you do not wish to end up like her. Lest his memory have been purged of her, he will understand."

"Locked away.. Y-you're right. He does seem to care a lot about me. Considering what he's done in the past, he's nothing like he used to be. I'll be sure to tell him the truth, even if he may not have been so honest with me."

Although Calamity had felt trapped; in a prison with nobody to help her, she would be lying if she said Discord hasn't helped her one bit. He actually had, and she appreciated it. However, it wasn't the type of guidance she was quite looking for. Could she control her magic? Somewhat, but it still wasn't enough. Did she understand his motives behind keeping her from using it? Not quite that either. She would never be able to understand him, even if he had come out of his shell a bit more. She believed perhaps, it had something to do with losing Fluttershy, and he didn't want to lose anyone else. Or he was focused on not wanting to start another war with Twilight over the destruction of powerful magic. Whatever it may be, Calamity knew she had to get it under control, or something could happen.

"I believe it may be because he has companions whom he now trusts in. The fear of being alone is a powerful one, and Discord have most often either been alone or feared those who went close, wished only to make him the punchline of their jokes. Even if he will test these friendships of his, to make sure they are genuine, I know him enough to say with confidence, that he would cling to anyone who thought of him as their friend, and not try and end their normality, long as he keeps believing that things are going well."

"Ha, yeah... he does tend to be a bit clingy and dependent. You'd think with how he almost took over Equestria once, he wouldn't be so needy. He's become really clingy to me, like there's a way he knows me somehow. I don't quite remember much of my past, but I know I don't recognize him. If anything, he's become more like an annoying brother than anything.

He does tend to keep a lot to himself, aside from what he's never told me. I barely know anything about him other than he's got really cool magic, he's started a war that almost destroyed all of Equestria once, and he knows every single recipe for chocolate milk. It's not really... helpful information, but I suppose it's something."

Fright would wave calmly at Calamity as she went off, and wandered to the side so that carts could once more pass by her. IN the time she'd wait here, she would certainly get some looks, but as she didn't harm anyone, and her aura had a rather calming effect, she was overall left alone. Though a few here and there would be gathered nearby once Calamity would eventually return. Sitting on their flanks, basking in her shadow, and meditating with their eyes closed.

Calamity had returned a short while later, only to find a group of ponies, and even animals had gathered around Fright, seeming to be lost in thought. Not wanting to break the peace and destroy the mood, she sat there, trying to focus herself, but the peace would not come.

As Billowing's magic reaches out towards the fresco the shadows deepen for a second and the magic seems to dissipate more readily than normal, but other than that nothing happens. Fuchsia, assumes the deepening shadows are due to Billowing's smoky magic, not being a very magically attuned pony, assumes that is normal and breathes easier.  "My spirit-catcher chimed before, but I think it's ok - sometimes it just goes off."

Fuchsia startles at the sudden rumbling but looks extremely relieved to see the new passage. "Yes! That other way by the fresco gives me the creeps." she says and eagerly sends one of her baubles to illuminate the passage. She also takes a sniff of the passage to see if the stale dank air of the inner temple seems fresher in the new passage. Finally, she raises her spirit catcher to it to see if there are any traps or hostile magic inside.

Behind Fuchsia, near the deer fresco, the shadows do seem to darken further, but it could just be a trick of the light.

"Old places such as this, can at times still have lingering magic around, fermented with age, if you will. I've seen magic wards give off false positives because of it before. Yet I wouldn't count out that there may still be something lurking in here. We best remain on our guard, and assume the worst. Better to be overprepared, than be caught by surprise after all, yes?"

An adventurer were one who had many tools at their disposal, and thought of when to listen to the warning signs. A smart adventurer, always assumed there were something to be worried about regardless, and prepared mentally for that option. Made some a little paranoid at times, but such were the price for survival.

The passage would have nothing, but a smell of musty air, and the path seemingly leading a little further downwards. An interesting path, and the one more obvious, were likely the wrong path as it were. Or still somehow a bad one, as there were not often a reason to make hidden paths into false ones.

"Then we shall traverse down here. Mind your step though, please. There may still be some traps within this place."

As they wandered down the hall, it would eventually open up more, and reveal an actual staircase, swirling downwards. There were no path up, and neither the stairs, nor the path itself, had seemingly been filled with traps, or dark magic of any kind. Though from down below, there would be traces of some darkness. Faintly, but still better than from where they had been before, yes? And Billowing would gladly take charge on this, if it made Fuchsia feel safer.

And as for the fresco, it would begin to get a few more pale lights flickering in the various cold, dead stone eyes of the depicted deer, before it fizzled out, and a pale mist seeped into the stones. Nothing to worry about there.

It would not be long after she arrived, before Fright would move her hands, and spread them in an open, welcoming gesture, whilst looking down from her floating position. It seemed she never stepped down from these floating lily pads. At least not in this town, anyway.

"My time in Ponyville has come to an end, children of Equestria. I leave you with an open invitation though, if you find your life burdens you too much, or fears drags you down: Wander to my shrine, in the vast forests near Deltrot, and I shall grant you passage to a place, where you may find true inner peace. I would especially encourage you to consider it. Your fears are vast, and will only burden you more, the longer you go."

She directed these words to a middle-aged, aquamarine pony. Feeling Blue was not exactly the most happy face in Ponyville, despite Pinkie's best efforts, but he were looking calm and relaxed for once. Unburdened, and with a big, pleased smile under his sizable mustache. It were not much wonder that he nodded, and seemed open for the invitation.

As for how to find her place, Fright would take her hands together again, and when they separated, there would be a small shrine there, growing rapidly in size, and landing harmlessly on the ground. It would emanate a smaller, yet still noticeable aura of peace for a few days, and contain some maps for those curious. Pamphlets too, as they were very handy in informing others of what she did.

"Do you see how my powers work here, dear child? In times long gone, I used my powers to sense the fears of others, and made them real. I reveled in horror, and fed on nightmares. Yet as the wise creature who helped me see past this taught me, there are more than one side to everything. My powers still work now. I sense their fears, and I drain them away. Yet I do not make them real. I lift it from their beings, and leave it hanging where it is not seen, while I feast upon the darkness, and leave only peace behind. A time of relief, where these fears do not rest heavily upon them, until they grow strong once more, and there are peace.

In time, if they wish to, I can then help them confront these fears, but this is but one outlet of my power. I wish for you to understand. The constant fear which I carry with me, from beings who need a respite from the worst. This is what I mean, that there are help and salvation for all. IN time, we will find a way like this, in which your powers can manifest too, to give you some relief, rather then a build up pressure without pause."

She were speaking to Calamity as she explained, and had her face been able to go into a large smile that wouldn't just make her look creepier, she would have done so.

"...I'm good at competitive speed knitting, does that count?"

It were perhaps not the thing he were the proudest off, but it weren't uncommon for beings in his position, to find some enjoyment in crafts like knitting, sewing, or embroidery. They were used to dealing with small knifes and nimble movements, so some needles, or small knives for cutting paper, felt rather natural to them. And it didn't diminish how dangerous they could be. He knew of several that looked like harmless, sweet old mares, that if you annoyed them too much, would soon be chuckling down at you, while you were pinned to the ground, with a pair of needled pointed towards the point between the eyes, and the throat. And those were the lesser creative ones. Mama Mango was an infamous elder mare, for being adept at both beating up, and stitching her would be challengers clothes together, in a way that would make it a strong, makeshift restraint.

He were nowhere near her level, but he did find that he loved to sit down, and relax with some knitting, the few times he had respite from things, and no worries in his heart. The competitive angle were mostly just because he thought it would be fun to try and compete, and got third place the first time he tried. Things had kind of snowballed after that. Not the most impressive to hear about maybe, but he could knit a scarf like a beast.

"Regardless, even if your idea of a performance were a little... Unorthodox, it will surely make them remember you. And seeing how positive your interaction seemed to have went, it will only be in a good way. i can imagine a few places are going to get some good stories about longma soon, which will help those areas be curious and welcome, rather than paranoid, if ever you come by. Trust me when I say that I am fairly impressed with your foresight on this, Sen, as well as just how you did in general. I couldn't point a hoof at how you could've done better."

"What if he gave them candy?"

"Hmhm. I stand corrected."

Omen managed to get him a little smirk, as she made an assessment of her own, regarding to how the whole thing could have gone better. Seeing as there had been younglings, it were no wonder that she were thinking this. Though of course, there were not a guarantee that it wouldn't have gone worse. Might've looked a bit dodgy in fact, but he'd give her points for trying.

"You should keep doing this again if you have the chance other times, Sen. And don't sell yourself short. You may not be able to open gates, or knit a sweater in less time than it would take you to have a nap, but I've seen your skills on other areas. Such as in our little competition. You have a lot of potential, that is just begging for refinement, my friend."

“So, uh… any ideas where to go next? I was thinking about visiting Abacus again for Shrimp’s sake, but if there’s something anyone wants to do, I’m up for it.”

Rosa did not have an issue with this idea, and openly welcomed it, though he assumed she were mighty busy right now. Omen were already walking in the direction of the ghost drake's enclosure, as Shrimps reaction to hearing Abacus's name being spoken, were to perk his ears, and rise up in a chirping, happy noddle dance. He were looking forward to meeting his new friend again.

As they got there, they'd find that there were indeed a busy time, with the rat wagon having just pulled in, and a few solo seaters on enlarged, spectral frogs were getting ready for a tour group, lead by one of Banshee's cousins. A tired looking mare, carrying a golden chain, that wrapped around her stomach, and legs. One end were near her neck, and the other on her right leg. How it were stuck? Magic, likely, because there were hooks or the like.

They would find that Abacus were not riding right now, but stood and were getting caressed by somepony. A stallion this time, with his back turned. A weird one too, to say the least, as he were a pegasus, but it seemed like his wings had been stripped of flesh, and were not simply bones, held together by unknown means. A special sight, that for Rosa meant that he would get in front of the others, and signal them to halt.

"Shade Stealer."

The stallion heard the name, and turned around, to face Rosa with a sneer.

AwTyg0r.jpg

"Get out of my face."

This were not a friendly customer. He looked annoyed, edging towards angry, and his opening words to Rosa were not exactly kind. Not that he expected them to be either, which were why Rosa kept facing him with cold neutrality.

"At least you're not trying to deny it."

"I know what sort of ponies know that alias, so you got a whole lot more to fear than me, spy."

"Hey! No fighting at my stand. Rosa, Soul, you two play nice, or I'm gonna call on Wrûnch, and she'll keep you two apart."

Banshee had come over, to separate the two that seemed to be at tension with one another. Rosa did not move an inch, but Shade - or Soul as it seemed his name were - did lessen his sneer, and just go to paranoid annoyance.

"Fine. But he best keep his muzzle shut about that name, or I'm taking him down."

"I won't tell, if you won't."

"See? We can all be good friends here. Now, what brings you folks here? The next tour's in twenty minutes, if that's the thing. The rat race is a fun experience for most that haven't tried it before.

And let's do proper introductions here too, right? Soul, this is Sen, Lin, Rosa, Omen, and the little noodle dragon is Shrimp. Everypony, this here's my cousin, Soul Prison."

He had been mentioned earlier, as one that Abacus were missing, and it showed. The wyvern were practically laying her head on his shoulders, with a happy, low coo escaping her maw. A sight which made Shrimp confused, and he began chirping back and forth with Abacus about this. Simplistic, animalistic dragon talk though, so no room for the others to budge in on it.

"Yeah, for some reason, a lot of dragons don't seem to make it through a large, cultural switch. Here in our part of the world, we don't have any elders beyond twenty-one thousand years of age, with no known idea of why that is, or how things were before that. Only Ancalagon, who is old enough to make him the oldest dragon I at least know of, is from the before time, and he will not tell. Not that he does much with us. He long since left the Dragon Lands, after refusing to take up the mantle of Dragon Lord, which he could rightfully claim. With age comes power, and he have that in spades, yet he did not wish to lead us. He is running some sort of couriers guild instead, and keeps away from the politics that happens these days, even when there have been many who have spent thousands of years begging him to take up the mantle of dragon lord, and rise us into a new age of glory.

You don't want to seek him out for answers though. The stories about what he does to those irking him are not kind, and frankly, compared to him at his fullest, you'd look like how a foal would to you. Small and insignificant. Too weak to be a concern, or even much of an annoyance.

...Also, I may have stolen some things from his guild, and I don't want to find out what sort of penalty that gives."

Well, not the guild itself, but his minions had some things she had taken now and again. She were relatively sure he wouldn't eat her for that, though what else he might try? Ergh... She'd really, really prefer not to know.

"Anyway, the way your country is build up, makes some sense really. The inner, better regions are for those who have the power to hold them, and we tend to only get stronger with age. Outside layers are or those who's small, and have to live with the scraps. Quite frankly, this is a probably the most relatable part I know of your home so far.

Though, are you sure there really are no one old enough to remember? What of in the very heart of your country? The place reserved for only the oldest and strongest of you?"

==================================================================================

@Catpone Cerberus

She were with him for the first part, as Bloody followed the two of them away from potentially prying eyes.

"An undead? D-Dear me, that's not something you see o-often in Equestria. Mostly just spirits. Shouldn't be too big of an issue though, I hope."

Simple and easy. Just decapacitate the poor thing, reap the soul, and have it pass on later, when she brought it to a proper shrine. Though it sounded like this one were trouble, so perhaps it were just not that simple with this one? They'd seemingly be finding out soon, though how she hadn't heard about any sort of undead here in Ponyville until now, were a mystery. They weren't spirits, that most couldn't see after all. They were fully fledged beings, and t- Wha?!

Bloody would bounce back a little, as Crow spread his wings, and lifted off from Scarecrow. Something which would reveal the horrific visage beneath this disguise, and make her instinctively draw her scythe, and look at him with concern plastered all over her being.

"Please calm yourself. He's friendly. You don't have to be worried."

"B-But he's sentient! That's not normal for undead."

She'd need a bit of time to calm down, and as she did, she would move closer, scythe first, and try running the blade across him. Scarecrow would be able to feel something from that. A kind of pull, trying to draw him out, but it wasn't strong enough.

"...I can't r-reap you. Your soul is too ingrained. But... M-Maybe the others can? I'm just a part of t-the extended family. The main seat, h-houses the matriarch, and supposedly all s-sorts of things that have been u-used for millennia to deal with ghosts. I d-don't know if it will work, but m-maybe she can do something? I'm sorry I d-don't have a better answer, but... T-This is very weird, and so, so wrong. This much d-decay, and the rot too- You s-shouldn't be sentient anymore. You should h-have gone feral a long time ago. And then, I w-wouldn't know what to do t-there. This kind of rot, l-looks like it replaces you. Slicing your neck in half w-wouldn't do a thing, I'm g-guessing? Have you tried fire?"

While she were nervous, somewhat fearful, and somewhat, morbidly fascinated, Rusty at least seemed a fan of his look, and kept his little button eyes glued to Scarecrow, with that little, stitched on smile of his. Probably not the cheery news that Scarecrow had hoped for, but there were still a potential light at the end of the tunnel. It just wasn't her, that were able to put that in motion, sadly. She weren't that powerful.

Hopefully not Canterlot though. There may be laws protecting her kind in place now, but that place still likely had a lot that remembered the olden times, and would turn a blind eye to any harassment that may come, from a queen wandering their streets. Unless she defended herself, of course. Then you'd find they had seen it all, and she were clearly a dangerous menace, who had to be thrown into prison, along with the rest of her ilk. Hmph. Aah, it was much better to see the excited little life like this. Full of joy and cheer, rather than held down by the thought that maybe, she were not as traditionally normal as others. Hopefully she would remember his words, when in the future, she felt down on this again. Sadness such as what she had before, would not begone forever. It would rear its head back out every now and again. But hopefully she would be able to see the light on this, and push past those thoughts with some degree of haste.

"Then later we go, and plant our feet. For now though, let's remember to eat."

It would be a good meal from this place. Succulent and warm, in a nice, friendly place. Even if those working here, seemed to be a little weird. Which included the chef, who came through the door to the kitchen once, to wave the barista closer, and the guy looked like he had taken a shark to the face. Some nasty old scars there, that made him look a little intimidating, but the barista didn't seem to mind, and he weren't yelling. Might just be looking gruffer than he actually were, due to the scarring.

A hearty meal I would say. Were yours also okay? If so, it seems time to go. We must stay in motions, if we are to gather up for your potion. Besides, I would like to see, what this town else have for you and me. Might be something quite entertaining, or maybe our interests will soon be waning. Only way to know, is for us to go."

Zeehva clutched to Magnolia too, as she were hugged. Holding the mare close in a tight hug, whilst weeping, and mumbling incoherently. She'd be fine, but she were just caught in a bad moment right now, that had hit her hard in the feels.

When Magnolia made it so that Zeehva would gaze into her eyes, the former would see a pained individual. The tears were one thing, but the widows eyes just radiated pain and sorrow in the moment, lost in the emotion as she were. It wouldn't seem like she'd get much of what were being told to her at first. But then, she would begin to slowly focus on Magnolia, instead of looking past her. She recognized this mare. It was her friend, trying to help her. Beaming positive energy, and kind words down upon her. But...

She'd sob a little less, and lean in to hug magnolia again, and lay her head on the mare's shoulder. The soft, durable material of her dress would brush against Magnolia more in full now, while the sobbing slowly went down. Lessened in strength. And then finally, stopped.

"...*sniff* I'm s-sorry... Sometimes I j-just can't hold it b-back anymore. It h-hurts to remember..."

"It sounds painful, little one. But do you think this is what he wanted? Would he not want you to be happy?"

Zeehva did not answer, but she did nod, with her head still planted on Magnolia's shoulder. She may need a towel or something after this, to dry her fur of the tear stains that were being left right now.

As for Gretha, she could say more, but she felt like she had already gotten herself mixed up enough in their situation, and didn't to intrude too much. She just thought she'd give a little input on the matter, to try and help, without being too demanding. The little one did not need that, as much as she needed her friend right now.

On 2021-03-09 at 2:45 AM, Magnolia said:

To Gretha she would speak next. Although her words were more soft than one could think but it was also a great deal of awkward.

"Everything takes time, be it good or bad. Just remember to look forward, and you will be on the right path.

And if you want to hear an old dragoness ramble, the ponies I help on the docks, hold a box for any letters sent to me, and help me send some back. I'm afraid your papers and pens are a little too small for me, but a nice youth have elected to help me, long as I dictate what I want written down. Aah, you should have seen his face, when I had him write down a letter to an old mate of mine. The things he heard, sure had him blush. But he did insist he'd help with any letter, so it seemed fun to test him."

It had been a fun little time, that she wouldn't soon forget. And really, you never got too old, to have a little fun. be it equine minotaur, dragon, etc. Having a laugh were something they could all enjoy, at any time in their life.

"It's some mighty impressive stuff this here. Ingenous metalwork, and for a place without magic, I can imagine this is nothing short of the biggest breakthrough in rocket science there's ever been. Just imagine all the things this could lead to, and the things you could end up seeing out there in the great beyond, all wit the help of some blueprints, from folks who couldn't even make a spoon float."

He were joking, But Molotov were looking over these things carefully, and were frankly baffled at places. He considered himself to be a real smart cookie, as his mom would put it, and he got some of this, but others, he were a little awestruck, frankly. This were a good deal out of his league, and yet, with these blueprints, and a bit of trials and error, he could end up being the scientific genius of this century. Hay, the millennia! Just imagine what they could do with this sort of technology. How the world would change, from understanding all of these things.

Yet, much as the inventor in him wanted to keep them, Molotov would roll them up, and push them back towards Cali.

"Please don't take this the wrong way, alright? But I'll ask you to please take these things away, and don't let 'em get into the wrong hooves.

Don't get me wrong. The inventor in me want to hoard 'em all, and start a scientific revolution. The sort that have never been seen before, that'll get me written into history books. Yet... I can see the repercussions of adding this much, into a world that ain't meant for it.

You sort didn't have magic, so you had to rely on your tech to make things convenient, and man did you invent. Sadly, this sort of thing would end up ruining this world, I fear. You add too much knowledge on these things out of nowhere, and it can really start going out of hoof. Spies could steal it, and we'd have to worry about missiles launching towards us. Or hay, I could see at least three ways to make this large one able to carry a bobm load that'd be able to pollute most of Equestria. And that's just what it could be used for to meddle with us. Then there's how it'd change the landscape, with more focus on pumping out factories, and less on our forests, and urgh...

I'm an inventor. I strive for progress, but it have to be the sort of progress that doesn't overtake our world, but live in harmony with it. And I know that sounds lame as all hay, but I'm sticking with it. And I'm still grateful that you're making the offer, and that you're showing me these. It have given me some ideas for a few test reactors I could start working on. Though with a more environmentally safe implementation.

Plus, if we started to fire rockets out there constantly, the princesses would get prissy. We'd just end up getting in the way of them moving the sun and moon around. They were tolerant enough of my mom's experiments to get out there, as it were one mare, and seemed harmless to them, but they'd definitely shut down this whole operation in less than a week, and burn all the papers. I'd prefer not to have the hassle, you know?

Again though: Mighty happy that you're showing me this, and humbled that you're offering something from your collection. It's not a simple thing to do, and it ain't lost on me how special it probably is that I'm being given the offer. I hope I ain't coming off as ungrateful either. That ain't my intent at all."

"My spirit-catcher chimed before, but I think it's ok - sometimes it just goes off."

"Old places such as this, can at times still have lingering magic around, fermented with age, if you will. I've seen magic wards give off false positives because of it before. Yet I wouldn't count out that there may still be something lurking in here. We best remain on our guard, and assume the worst. Better to be overprepared, than be caught by surprise after all, yes?"An adventurer were one who had many tools at their disposal, and thought of when to listen to the warning signs. A smart adventurer, always assumed there were something to be worried about regardless, and prepared mentally for that option. Made some a little paranoid at times, but such were the price for survival.

Fuchsia agrees strongly with the sentiment and looks rather relieved that Billowing expressed it. "Learned that lesson on my first adventure and never forgotten it." she says with swagger. Fuchsia's first adventure had involved culling rats in a neighbouring farm's cellar. They had been too much for her, biting her lil pink hoofsies. She would never forget the smug face of her blue rival, Pied Piper as he led the rats away! If only she had read up on the rats she would have known that they were weak to music charms.

Anyway, preparation was a necessity!

Fuchsia knew this path was safer, it felt so much more welcoming than the others, even though it led them both deeper into the temple. She is soon inside, tracing the walls with her hoof - feeling the rough hewn walls. The anxiety from before was not forgotten but was quelled by the majesty of trotting through history - the hoofsteps of the ancient deer tribe...

Her hoof-steps echo on the spiral staircase, a light breeze blows up from the depths, rustling her fur and making her ears quiver. She draws close to Billowing, just in case something flies out of the dark as they descend.  "Ever been in a place as creepy as this?" Fuchsia small talks in the silence, mainly to take her mind off what might be below.

Silica would smile and nod, listening to Orchid and eating her stew, she was getting quite fond of listening to Orchid rhyming. "You are right mr Orchid, we must remember to eat, travelling on an empty stomach is not a good idea" she'd agree with him, and then soon, she would finish her stew and drinks, leaning back slightly to let her stomach settle.

After a bit, she would smile over at Orchid and nod, "It was indeed okay, better than okay, it was very good" she would say to him, "I will surely recommend this place to others" she then looks over to Bellarouse who had curled up on Orchid's back and started purring "and it would also seem that Bellarouse enjoyed her meal a great deal" she'd say and then nod, "Yes, let us get going, perhaps find somewhere to stay for the night, or..oh, I heard that there was another Zebra here, I think her name is Zecora, she might know where to look for what we need"

Light was intrigued at what Blitz was saying as her words are big clues about her past.... It seems princess twilight knows a bit more about the events involving the boom family.... But Cali's shenanigans on contaminating this dimension is happening again and caused Light to raise an eye brow towards Cali.

But luckily Molotov didn't accept Cali's offer, or else Light would've made drastic measures.

" Hey Luna, Molotov, is there anyway to meet and talk to princess Twilight? Blitz comments intrigued me."

“Speed knitting? You? Given how you look and what you do, I’m surprised you’ve got a talent for that!”

“It is interesting, though. And now we all know something new about Rosa. To be honest, chatting with the young ones wasn’t really a product of foresight. They were just curious, and I couldn’t say no to them, not when they’ve already seen me once.”

Sen felt good about what happened earlier, and Rosa’s praises only made that feeling better and fuzzier. Knowing how simply talking with other creatures might have done a lot more good in the long run was unexpected, but it was welcomed. Lin was taking mental notes, perhaps convinced to drop her more jaded views on the longma in the hopes that the same could work the other way around.

In some ways, Lin envied Sen, though admitting that openly would take a lot. As much as he had fallen into despair and is slowly finding his way out of that, Lin could only harbor sour emotions. With very few friends back home, there didn’t seem to be much to look forward to. Yet Sen manages to find something that could spark some hope back in his sister. Combine that with her own budding friendships with Rosa, Omen, and Amethyst, and maybe there is some optimism left to take in.

The siblings would follow Omen’s lead to Abacus. It was fortunate the drake was on the ground, saving Shrimp several minutes of waiting. Though they were ready to say hello, Rosa started a conversation with the odd-looking stallion that quickly turned sour. Seemed like the two have some history. Lin would steer the conversation forward with Banshee, hoping it wouldn’t escalate tensions.

“Hey, Banshee. Thanks for the introductions. Looks like Abacus is very fond of Soul. We just came by to say hello to Abacus, and it looks like Shrimp is already getting a head start. He was excited to see his new friend again, and we thought we'd humor him.”

Sen hesitated to add, though that was because he was a little more fixated on the little spat that just happened. Whatever happened between Rosa and Soul Prison in the past was pretty ugly if they acted like they did. Might not be a good idea to broach the topic, at least within both stallions’ company.

Magnolia looks into Zeehva's eyes in an attempt to try to be sympathetic. She did not know how to express sympathy and so she resorted to just give Zeehva a pat on the shoulder. For a while she did not say anything and decided to simply lament in the physical contact. Magnolia smiled somewhat regally as the shadows would shift around her and gently form some sort of shape to gently wipe away the tears from Zeehva's eyes.

"I know it hurts...surprising enough I have...not shed tears upon our situation...I don't know how to take it but I truly care for you Zeehva...It feels strange to have someone else be there for you when you need them but I am always here for you...remember that. I know that I am probably not much help but...I am here for you. I have my pain...it eats at me every day...but going forward we shall have better days...or so I hope." she'd force a smile. It was still extremely awkward though, she never was a good smiler.

She'd relax and pull Zeehva a bit closer and then start to pet her mane and tail in an attempt to comfort her more. Magnolia's furr was extremely soft. Given the nature of her transformation into shadows all dust or dirt would simply fall out of the shadows. She was absolutely pristine. Regal, even. One may say even royal. Magnolia stretched out her legs. Her legs were also pristine and there was a slight anklet hidden in the fur of one of her front legs too. Golden.

"The docks in Deltrot? Is there...a specific name of them that we should keep in mind or an address? I wouldn't want to forget that...we'll keep you...in touch. I've never written a letter in so long..." Magnolia would sigh somewhat at that. Patting her friend's back a bit.

Cali would listen to Molotov's explanation. It was not exactly what she wanted and she'd huff slightly as with her red magic the blueprints and what she had handed him would vanish with a red flash and a poofing sound. She'd be a little silent and just sit there collecting her thoughts.

"You have your point, although I must say with your technological mind you would want to spread your knowledge with it. Of course people will use it for the 'wrong' reasons as they always do. That is life. But whatever makes you happy." she was rather dissapointed.

"Could say the same for my world, if your magic was shown to my world. It would destroy everything and people would have no idea how to handle it." she'd cackle slightly at that, slyly.

Then Cali would think about what was said about the princesses. "I don't know what your talking about. Moving the sun and moon...? What are you on about...? That makes absolutely no sense! The Sun is the center of the solar system. The moon orbits the Earth...everything orbits and moves according to the laws of physics and mass...drag...angles...all that stuff." she'd seem confused at that. Then she'd smile.

"I have an alternative then. I turn into a rocket disguised as a bird or a dragon. Then we fly into space. Yes, I can do that. I've done it a few times before. Won't be able to break into orbit or anything but at the very least we'd be able to see whats up there. Or how about some high altitude flight? Maybe like, 20 miles? 30 miles? Above the clouds? Above the karmen line?" Cali would smirk.

" Cali.... You know we are in a different dimension or universe right? Sometimes the laws of this world are different. Sometimes you arent allowed to go beyond the atmosphere.... Sometimes something out there is waiting to kill us.... Just saying."

Calamity was in awe at the power Fright had. She had never seen Feeling Blue relaxed or calm before now. In fact, she couldn't remember the last time she had seen anypony quite this relaxed. It was quite something interesting indeed, and she could start feeling the calm aura take over, with thoughts that everything would turn out alright in the end. She started to believe that perhaps if she was consistent with her learning from a teacher such as wonderful as Fright, she wouldn't have to worry about anything, and those fears of harming ponies unintentionally would be just that; fears. She could now see why everypony had been stuck in a meditating trance, as she could slowly feel it taking over her as well, until Fright's voice had snapped her out of it.

Quote

IN time, we will find a way like this, in which your powers can manifest too, to give you some relief, rather than a build up pressure without pause."

"Yes, I can see. It's a beautiful thing, being able to turn the worst things into something much more. Into something positive even. I'm starting to believe this may actually be the best for me. If anypony can help me, it's you."

She had to admit, she was going to miss Ponyville. She was going to miss Discord, even if he wasn't exactly helpful in teaching her how to use her magic to help others instead. She was sure everything would be okay.
