OK so here's a short that was made for the show Oh Yeah! Cartoons. Which is basically a show where animators showcase pilots hoping for them to be made into series. In the process, Seth MacFarlane and Butch Hartman made this. If you don't know, Butch Hartman created Fairly Oddparents, Dann Phantom and TUFF Puppy and you should who the other guy is.

 

What do these 2 animators have in common? They're both way passed their prime.

I think Seth is further away from his prime than Hartman, to be honest.

Seth can't write a cartoon to save his life and Hartman forgot what he was doing with his shows long ago.

They're both old news.

Here's how I view them.

 

Seth went down hill when he started to just use his shows to spew out his political and social views through his shows.

 

Butch went downhill when he didn't know what he wanted to do with his shows so he decided to add in unnecessary characters.

Hm, that's rather interesting, the animation style, along with the comedy seems to have a bit of both worlds mixed in their.

It doesn't sound like a bad thing to have social commentary through literature or other creative works or art including animation. Why should his shows be free of such things?

Not surprising this exists. From what I've heard, the two are good friends.

 

As for their quality I can at least stomach Hartman's stuff, even though he has no clue what he's doing. Sometime he has some good ideas, but almost always screws up the execution

 

Meanwhile MacFarlane's writing has went down the shitter ever since Family Guy's revival in 2005(well American Dad was good for a while, but it's also gone downhill), and the guy has no original bone in his body. The only thing keeping him relevant is his godly singing voice
