The artwork that you posted is someone's attempt at drawing something that Andy Price himself drew though in a more monotone colour palate. While that art of his never made it into an actual comic, he did it because it was something he wanted to do.

I think it was meant to be a fun little project that had nothing to do with the comics. Also, it had been a couple of years since he last got to draw Sunset.

After thinking about it,

I don't know how that story would work if it were to happen for real considering both Human Sunset & Pony Sunset appear

to both be the exact same villain version judging by the picture.

I think it was Andy Price wanting to show both versions of Sunset and portraying her as her villainous self.

That makes sense.

I think it would be cool if Sunset Shimmer had to go back in time &

confront her past self due to not being able to get over her feelings of guilt for the things she did in the past.

I know Sunset has moved past that but, I'm running out of ideas.
