Yea, I tried it out once and it just ended up being this odd poe's law example. There is also the "Master Race" slang being descended from Nazism too.

My latest upgrade to satisfy Lord Gaben, dual monitors. Bought the 2nd one 2nd hand at a shop for $20...same size and resolution as my current monitor and has a matte screen, like my current one. And I can give Flutters more screen time.

 

Gotta put another screw in the wall though to hang my other speaker....since they no longer fit on my desk. My center speaker now sits between my monitors.

Yea, jumped on it as soon as I seen it, haha. The store gets all of it's inventory through donations, it's a charity place for Habitat for Humanity, so all the money goes toward helping people. Which is always good.

I like PC gaming, it feels kinda better then console and there are more games. One bad thing is that Games are not optimised for everything. I have an old

 

Toshiba satellite a100

NVidia GeForce 7300

Linux 32 bit

1gb of ram

 

With those specs I have to check every single games system requirements. I was looking for games to buy and from the good ones (source games (damn porting issues)) I could barely find any games I could run.

You know, I understand VR is the new thing, and it's actually been done well this time, but I personally just don't see the point.

I'd rather play my games normally without fancy and weird peripherals.

I'm not the only one that thinks that, am I? I just have no interest in getting any of these VR headsets, to be honest.

Wait until you actually TRY them before you say anything Depending where you live, a lot of places are letting you demo the Oculus Rift/HTC Vive. I suggest you try the Vive, as it's the best one out so far. Pretty sure Microsoft stores have demos, Walmart probably has Oculus Rift, Microcenter has some probably, I know Gamestop has, etc.

I mean, it does look pretty interesting as a concept and I might try it out whenever I get the chance, but I have a feeling that VR will probably be the next motion controls, if you get what I'm saying. Tons of people hype it up for months with some trying to make their own interpretations of it, and then after a couple years, it is seen as more of a gimmick than anything.

I'm not interested enough to invest in VR, but I can understand the appeal in terms of enhancing immersion. For example, if you're someone who play simulator games, using VR would be quite an experience. But I don't expect all games to work well with VR.

@, I think this is what the Virtual Boy was trying to do, but this time they actually got it right. So, a gimmick, maybe, but one that works.

It's actually quite comfortable and most people say you forget you're wearing it after a while, but I understand your concerns.

 

Also, most of the headsets have been designed to work with glasses/include a foam insert that works with glasses.

I preordered Watch Dogs in 2014, it was my first Ubisoft game. NEVER AGAIN.

I am thinking of getting a non-steam machine living room PC. Which would you people recommend? Note that I do NOT care about 4K. I just want a living room PC that can run all games reasonably. Plan on using both the Steam and Xbox For Windows 10 platforms

The most i would be willing to spend is $1000, but would rather not spend over $600.

 

And form factor is something I care about.

No, i am not. Probably will get a Syber Vapor, i heard those are good "console PCs" that are easily upgradable and have good support.

 

Right now I am torn between getting an Xbox One (which has many exclusive games I want) and getting a Windows 10 Gaming Living Room PC.

All the Xbox exclusives are going to be on Windows 10, so any reason to own an Xbone is diminishing fast.

 

As far as the Syber Vapor you mentioned, it's got good specs for the price. I built a PC that had similar specs for around the same price. I still recommend building your own custom PC since you'll know exactly what's in it. Plus, you'd have access to newer hardware.

Actually, cross play between Windows 10 and Xbox One raises some issues, especially with FPS. A skilled player with a keyboard and mouse is obviously going to mop the floor with even a skilled player with a controller, even a Xbox One Elite Controller. How do you balance that?

 

Anyway, I just dont want to build my own PC because I am worried i might mess it up.
