SBaby 657 December 12, 2014 Share December 12, 2014 (edited) I am seriously hoping they do the same thing with Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara that they did with Bulk and Skull. They start out as bullies, yes (though not very good ones, since as Linkara put it, it's obvious that any of the Rangers are capable of beating them in a fight), but they grow beyond their antics to become heroes. And they do this without ever getting any kind of extraordinary powers. So I would love to see something similar happen with these two (it wouldn't have to happen all at once; even Bulk and Skull took SIX SEASONS to change). Yes it looks to me like someone or something is taking the ponies' cutie marks, and with them their special powers. (Notice how hard Rainbow Dash is straining to fly in that clip, and not going very fast.) Of course Tirek did similar, but I have enough faith in the writers to believe that they won't simply recycle that plot line. If you were smarter than average, they made you less smart, (headphones blew a sound in your ears to distract you) too strong, they made you carry extra weight, etc. Could be this episode is aiming at something like that. After seeing this my guess is that the mane 6 will have their cutie marks turned into equal signs at some point in the episode and their talents disappear since it seems like Rainbow can't fly fast with the = cutie mark. Larson said that a season 5 song will be based on the song Defying Gravity, which is from Wicked.
