We may not be the "master race", but we all know that Nintendo is pretty awesome.  This thread is devoted to the Big N and all of it's glory. If the discussion is about Nintendo, debates about which game series is best, timelines (looking at you Zelda), ideas for reboots, new dlcs, etc. it is welcome here.

Is it just me or does Nintendo have a lot of series? Like seriously some of these need to come back instead of Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon...

Eternal Darkness was neat. Shame there won't be another.

I've never actually played it... I really need to buy that sometime. I hear it is one of the most terrifying Nintendo games ever released.

Oh I forgot to say this earlier, but my favorite Nintendo game series is actually F-Zero. Which hasn't had a game since the Game Cube....

I liked the "Sanity Effects" thing Eternal Darkness had going on where your surroundings changed in subtle (sometimes not) ways depending how your sanity meter was looking. Thought that was rather innovative.

Not gonna forget about this one.

So.. With Smash Bros. released and Pokémon Alpha/Omega coming up, I've been out of hype for my 3DS.

Anyone knows of any upcoming 3DS games that are worth to look out for or perhaps some hidden gems?

Really enjoying Shovel Knight(which Nintendo heavily hyped) and FE Awakening, if that helps

Not really, unless you want it on the go, it's the same game

I grew up with Nintendo games. I'm glad I finally got a chance to play game series that I missed out on, such as StarTropics, Fire Emblem, F-Zero and Wario. It's amazing how after all these years, Nintendo can still work its magic on games.

Games I have for the 3DS (listed by roughly the order they were released):

Super Smash Bros. 4 - 3DS

Bravely Default

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Pokémon X and Y

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Digital)

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Super Mario 3D Land

Kid Icarus Uprising

Mario Kart 7

Star Fox 64 3D

Ocarina of Time 3D

I'd also like to get Kirby Triple Deluxe and Tomodachi Life. Now as for my 3DS VC collection:

My VC collection:

All 20 Ambassador games

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX

Kirby's Dream Land

Mega Man I (GB)

Super Mario Bros. 2 (1986)

Super Mario Bros. 3

Metroid II: The Return of Samus

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons

Super Mario Land 1 & 2

Donkey Kong GB

Does loving Metroid, Kirby, Zelda, Mario (mainstream, Mario Kart, Mario Party and sports spin-offs), Super Smash Bros., Pokémon and several other titles and franchises and owning a DS, DS Lite, Wii U, and 3DS count as loving Nintendo? :P

I've been playing Nintendo video games for quite some time. Some of my favorite characters in gaming are from Nintendo (like my avatar).

I also want to take the time to state that I've beaten the incredibly difficult F-Zero GX (except for some of the staff ghosts). My one friend thinks I'm amazing for accomplishing that. Don't wanna brag, but I felt like saying that. :proud:

@Panne
That's awesome, even though I rarely played as Mewtwo on Melee. ^_^

F-Zero GX was a hard game? That's news to me...

My one bragging right though is I beat Ocarina of Time Master Quest.

Not sure what's surprising about that. The story mode was insane, and GP on Master was absurd, especially on Phantom Road.

Oh yeah the story mode yeah, I swear it is set on super human difficulty...

Yeah, in the lap and head-to-head races, except for Chapter 9, at least one AI racer has infinite boost in addition to amazing reflexes.

Monstet Hunter 4 Ultimate and Codename STEAM are the biggest 3DS games coming up, along with Xenoblade exclusively for New 3DS. More announcements are sure to come eventually though.
