What you said meant a lot to me. Also they way you hold me, it's less forced and it feels like you really like it. I do as well. You make be feel protected. No one as ever made me feel that way before." She pulled away a little and placed a hoof on Bushido's cheek again. "I care for you, Bushido."Bushido wasn't used to ponies caring for her all that much so this was a rare thing for her to hear. She sat up rather quickly and backed up from the mare. "You...you care for me..but...", she started before hanging her head not sure what to say. She wasn't sure how she felt about the mare. It was true she enjoyed her presence and cared for her well being but she wasn't sure how to word that. She had never had to, never let anyoony this close. She returned the nuzzle and hugged her close again, placing her head on her chest again. She couldn't stop smiling, even when they tears started to come. She hugged her a little tighter. "Umbie, I have to admit, I'm not sure why I care so much for you or for me, but does that really matter", she asked her quietly, a while new side of her showing as she let her antisocial walls crumble to the mare. I could spend an eternity trying to figure out how love works and I'll most likely get stumped the first day of testing." She chuckled, nuzzling into Bushido' chest again. She was a mare of action, not pondering life's questions, that was the job if philosophical ponies, not hunters like her. She accepted the mare's nuzzle and knew she felt right and proper like she belonged at this mare's side though that felt a bit much to decide so quickly so she didn't voice it, instead only gently returning the gesture if affection. She started really thinking about the deal she made with Bushido. She same deal that saved her life as as well give them the chance to develop these feelings for one another. With the look of determination she slowly pulled away from her protector. "I'm really enjoying this. But I feel like I need to get back to work. I want you to see me. With your eyes. It will also make me happy if I were the first thing you'll see." She kissed her nose before getting off. Her. " I'll be in my lab. I think I have some books in braille on the shelf on the right side of the couch. I got them when I was teaching myself how to read braille. Some are story books, others are spell books. And most of them are different kinds of novels. I also have a radio on on the left side of the couch if you want to listen to music. I don't want you to get bored while I work." She giggled. She stared blankly at the space she knew Mezre was now standing in and smiled slightly at her words. "I understand your wishes..and thank you, a nice novel is something a blind pony rarely gets to enjoy. However I may take a peek at those spell tomes you mentioned. Even though I can't cast them they may still be enjoyable", she said quietly as she nuzzled the mare before she would allow her yo go downstairs.
