What kind of PC do you use, manufactured or you built it yourself?

What kind of PC do you guys use, manufactured, such as a Dell or HP pc, or one that was built by you or some other company such as Cyberpower or MSI?

Please include your specifications as well, if you know them.

I use a PC that I built in the summer of last year.  It's pretty low-end but it gets the job done, although if I can, I will get some more parts and build a better one next summer.

Current specs

AMD FX-4100 Quad-core processor @ 3.6 GHz

XFX Radeon 6670

8 GB of RAM

500 GB hard drive

The parts that I want to get to build a new PC

I saved up a long time to build the beast I put together myself last summer. It runs pretty much anything on Ultra settings without a hitch.

Specs:

Intel i7 4790K @ 4.0 Ghz

G.Skill RipjawsX 1600 MHz 16 GB, in 2x8 configuration.

Gigabyte R9 290 Windforce OC

ASRock Z97 Fatal1ty Killer

1 TB HDD as primary, secondary 500 GB HDD for downloading stuff to.

This old rig still manages to do the trick, even though it's starting to go sluggish. A PC i put together and upgraded when an opportunity presented itself. My specs are

AMD Phenom X6 3.2 GHz (6 cores)

4GB DDR3 ram

GeForce GTX 770 2GB

1.5 ter. Hard drive (+ additional 128 gigs of SSD)

I'm jealous, I so need to upgrade my rig for 2015, mainly for the game Star Citizen.

Anyways my PC was made by Cyberpower, but over the years I've added and changed out a lot of the hardware.

Current Specs:

Gigabyte z68 Mobo

Intel I7 2600k 3.4 ghz liquid cooled

Nvidia GTX 670 SC 4Gb vRAM

4x1TB HDDs

1 60Gb Intel SSD

1x1TB ADATA external HDD

2 x G.SKILL Sniper 8GB for a total of 16Gb

I just got a Dell Inspiron 560 that I have had for going on 4 years......

Ram: 5GB's of DDR 3 (came with 3 gigs, added a couple more)

Processor: Pentium dual core E5700 clocked at 3.00 GHz

Video card: Geforce GT 620 (Beats the hell out of the on bored it came with!)

GATEWAY NV59

NV50_NV.png

intel i3 M370, 2.4gz (dual-core)

5650 mobility radeon HD (1gb ram)

4gb ram

452 hdd

its called a notebook, but its heavy like a laptop

despite how slow it is on some games (gmod, csgo) its actually very reliable for gaming.

I built my own PC, for the first time, back during the Summer time this year. I call it the Walrus. :squee:

CPU: i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB

RAM: 16GB (2 x 8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws X Series DDR3-1600

HDD: Western Digital WD Green 2TB 3.5'' 5400RPM

PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 80+ Gold Certified

MB: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150

Case: Thermaltake Chaser A31 ATX

I intend to get myself a better graphics card early next year (need to run that modded Skyrim w/ ENB at 60 FPS, man), and maybe add on a second hard drive as well. :)

I'm using one that I had built to my specifications by a company. So it's kind of the best of both worlds? (Namely, it was cheaper. Still far too much to have to spend for a computer, though) They shipped it with the video card outside of it, though, so I still had to have someone to do that for me. >.>

I got mine at Best Buy.  :P

As for specs... Um... It was made by Lenovo, and there's a sticker on it that says "Pentium", if those mean anything.

If it's any indication, it can run BlazBlue and Warframe pretty smoothly on low graphics settings. Anything above that, and the program just instantly crashes.

But, I've been thinking of building one. Er... having a friend who actually knows something about computers build it. Chances are it would instantly die if I built it.

The computer I'm currently using was bought at staples.  I am considering building my own in the future though, it still seems a bit intimidating to me to do it...

Just a bit of an update, I have begun to buy components for my pc.  I already have the case, mobo and the optical drive is on it's way.  I know that isn't much but it's better than nothing :D.

That is all I use it for, that and internet stuff.

It cost me about $7000 mainly because it uses the best graphics card Nvidia has to offer, three in fact, which themselves cost $2100

Also, if i may recommend, if you wish to stay with AMD Radeon, i would reccomed 2 Radeon R9 270x in a crossfire configuration. they dominate (together) the 280x and 290x and are alot cheaper.

In the past I would configure systems through Dell's website for myself or relatives. The quality/value just isn't there anymore

Right now I mainly use my Sony Vaio i7 laptop from late '10. That thing actually came with a Blu-Ray Burner in it. Funny thing was that I got lucky and bought it at a Sony store pre-configured. I wouldn't have ordered it any different.
