game Assassin's Creed: Unity Disaster

Apparently the new Assassin's Creed game runs sub-30fps at some points, has multiple rendering issues, terrible texture quality, and other performance and gameplay problems, as well as microtransactions. I haven't played it yet, but I'm curious to hear what people have to say, because everything I've heard so far is completely negative.

I played an hour last night, and enjoyed it. I've heard it compared completely lovingly to AC2.

I haven't noticed any lagging or screen tearing on the Xbox One version, and (other than UPlay server issues) the mini-game/companion app runs pretty well, too. Been running it like crazy while I'm at work.

The only major difference to me is the way the parkour is done. If you hold the sprint trigger, he tries to stay level. sprint and A/X, he will try to advance upward where capable, sprint and B/O, he'll try to advance down. It takes a little getting used to, if you've been a fan for long enough.

If I notice any issues tonight, I'll amend this post.

Geez. What is with all the new games recently?

They should wait to perfect these things and keep them in production a little longer if you ask me, rather than bending to all these time constraints. First it was Watch Dogs, or so I've heard.

Hopefully they don't make a blunder of this.

And to think the Assassin's Creed series has such positive reviews all around.

What version do you have. It appears to me that really PC got duped. It was not optimized or made well at all for PC. Same was for another Ubisoft game: Watch_Dogs. It seems Ubisoft is caring less and less for the PC gamers out there. Anyone who plays it on console will probably like it... PC however... you better hope they fix the issues.

This is just what appears to me though. I could be wrong, maybe al versions got messed up. But What I can say for sure is some people saying they have no problems and other saying its glitchy as hell. Something aint right here and I'm guessing it's the PC gamers complaining.

*sigh* well co-op is down. And as my friend said. "If they screw up co-op franschise is done" But as things are now co-op will probably be glitchy too. It kinda surprises me that all the games that were hyped turn out to be fails or not-as-good while the game that everyone expected to be bad (Cod Advanced Warfare) turned out to be good.

I always hear problems like this with almost every new game that's released, some games worse than others.

With Assassin's Creed, the cut scenes always seem to have terrible frame rate drops, the worse being three.

Hell, I think I had frame rate problems during the cut scenes in Black Flag as well.

Stupid Ubisoft. At least Rayman doesn't have this problem, I think. :P

I had to stop playing because the guy I was escorting kept falling through the world. He was supposed to open a door, but couldn't from underneath it. It happened to the beginning main character as well, when I tried to go through a window.  I'm hoping that they fix it, and honestly, I'd be more than happy to wait a year for another game if it were more polished.

Well, after playing some more yesterday, I have noticed a number of issues. Lagging in the cut scenes being the biggest by far. Still... AC is AC. I haven't run into any issues that will get me to stop playing the game. I'm a pretty hardcore AC fan. :derp:

Ubisoft have really dropped the ball this year, and this is just the icing on the cake.. It's bad enough they've gone and cancelled the season pass. Thought they were at least nice enough to offer those who'd already purchased it a free copy of Far Cry 4 in compensation.

But seriously, this is just shameful, I can't abide to a game in this state being released. Just goes to show how little of the game is actually on a developers mind and much more on getting a quick buck when something like this can be churned out. Developers need to learn from screw ups like this. (Looking at you EA and Capcom!)

I know metal gear. But it just seems like that this is the pattern and that really the corporations couldn't be asked to put effort into the games but ah well if people buy it just because of the name they will.

It is what it is though. Games have released plenty of times in previous generations with bugs, and that is something that won't change. Of course I'll agree there is a difference between small, acidental bugs and big, overlooked issues.

At the very least we have patches & all of that. From what I can tell there are some solid games out there that are affected by bugs like this. It's a shame, but at least we have fixes & all.

Cutscene problems, frame rate issues and this game's quality is not the best. Also Unity's story is not really good. After you found the Assassin Order grand master's killer, story is just finding who's the killer.

Worst Assassin's Creed game in my opinion. 4 is better then this one.
