Discord: Omnipotent?

There are differing opinions on Discord's power. I have him rather weak, due to Tirek pwning him with pony power. Other have him as a universe busting badass because he hasn't shown any upper limit.

Hmm. He could have gotten caught off guard by Tirek's betrayal, but just the fact that he can't even get out from under Celestia's hoof puts him just above Sombra. I'll be honest I want Discord to do more as a villain. He was reformed way too fast for me.

Defeating Celestia and Luna, but how easily remains to be seen. Since you like the comics, you'll be happy to know that in them, apparently, when Discord fought Celestia and Luna, the surrounding area was so damaged by his magic, it had to be quarantined. So at least in the comics, Discord wasn't exactly holding back

Reposting and adding that while you can try to argue a Wiki are not reliable, they are often the best online source people are going to get when it comes to having everything in one place. More, it is not an MLP wiki but a Superhero/Supervillian wiki so I argue there is less incentive for making stuff up.

Defeating Celestia and Luna, but how easily remains to be seen. Since you like the comics, you'll be happy to know that in them, apparently, when Discord fought Celestia and Luna, the surrounding area was so damaged by his magic, it had to be quarantined. So at least in the comics, Discord wasn't exactly holding back

 

 

 

He also is able to move sun and moon with no effort. He can travel in time with no limitation of time. And also somehow use or create seeds that are able to disable Alicorns power.

I don't view the comics as canon, I merely pointed that thing out from the comics because some people do. And taking out the alicorns was easy, said vines were getting torn up by Applebloom and Big Mac.

It's still unreliable, most wikis are, especially the fanmade ones. For example, the DBZ wiki uses the English dub of the movies and presents it without saying that the Japanese version is drastically different(attacked vs destroyed a galaxy). Or even the official wiki, which added a bunch of blather about Titanosaurus being a good guy

The fact remains thier efforts were being shown as pointless. Breaking off a few small pieces of the vines means little if they keep coming back and punishing you for the effort (I believe Big Mac kept on being hit on the flank).

Well I know a lot of people refer to him as a spirit or god or something but I stop WAY short of that.  With only a sample size of one draconequues (I'm certain I misspelled that) I have no idea where to put his power either.  I think he may be somewhat like a pony in that magic related to their special talent (chaos for Discord) he is quite powerful.  When it comes to other things though he may be lacking which is why Tirek was able to take him down as he did.

Signs, can you at least look though even some of them... decide for yourself which ones apply?

 

It is still a resource I feel is fair to use as it offers different traits, abilities, and powers which apply to fictional characters. It is better for you to disagree with some of the listings then dismiss the whole thing outright without even a considering the information.

Reality warping is ignoring the physics in a given show, like causing things to float independent of gravity. No amount of matter manipulation can do that.

Discord himself said he can change reality, and given what is shown I feel calling him a reality warped is fair. He can alter the world around him and break the rules of said world.

This is why the word "omnipotent" is flawed; because "god", in competitive usage, is to relative to lump them under one name.

 

Has Discord ever destroyed or created a universe(pocket dimensions don't count), or beat somebody who has?

Has Discord ever split a timeline, or manipulated one?(Not equal to time travel)

Has Discord's powers ever affected a universe outside his current one?

 

These are the things that characters need to just be universal level threats, let alone higher. Discord hasn't done any of these.
