music Obscure bands

Oh there are so many.

A rather good metal act. I only managed to hear of these guys when a couple gave me their CD for free and told me to go spread the word. Best free thing I ever got. 'Anger to Ashes'. Go check it out.

Saw these guys live and they definitely brought it. Wisconsin's #1 metal band.

Also saw these guys in person. They were radio ready then, and they're radio ready now.

An obscure band these days, but made up of not so obscure members. The last project taken upon by brothers Vinnie Paul & Darrell Lance Abbott. Hard to believe it's been 10 years since that fateful day.

The first two in OP.

Caravan Palace, a very talented electro-swing band.

And Anamanaguchi, a chiptune and future bass band.

The Sword

Immortal

Burzum

Carcass

Animals as Leaders

Necrophagist

TBH I don't really consider these that obscure, but they're some of the most obscure bands that I actually enjoy.

I guess they could be considered obscure by people who don't listen to metal.

...But that's just my opinion.

Hmmm, well most of the rock bands are quite old so in some cases people just forgot about them instead of being obscure, like "The Band" for example.

I think there starting to get popular (which they rightly deserve) but there is a new band called "The Strypes" which until recently was rather obscure I think:

A band from back in the 60's, that even then was pretty obscure unless you were big into folk/jazz fusion type stuff was called "The Pentangle":

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

The most obscure bands I listen to are Parasite Inc.

And a band called Martyr Defiled.

Not sure just how obscure they actually are, but I had never heard of them until I actively looked for them.

So what obscure bands do you listen to? I like: Anamanaguchi, chip-tune fast paced rock Caravan Palace, a swing\electronic band from Paris The J Arthur Keen Band, fantastic chip-tune music Ken Ashcorp, a lot more well known for the pony song he made recently Passion Pit, not exactly sure what genre that is Biting Elbows, a indie rock band from Russia So that's about most of them, the rest aren't on my mind right now.

Anamanaguchi and the J Arthur Keenes band are both awesome.  I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that's heard of them.

I like chiptune music in general, and it's rather niche.
