Celestia smiled sadly, lifting his chin. "Hey now, I know as well as you do she wouldn't want you to be upset. She loved you too much to see you sad in the afterlife..." she said softly, kissing his forehead.

 

Midnight nodded. She looked up at the sky. "Is it going to stay this bright? I have trouble sleeping during the day..." she said, a little worried about what her dreams would be like.

Grell nodded "yeah it is sadly but that's okay there's a cave about a mile that way" grell said pointing "me and steel would end our days running there at full gallop no flash steps though" grell said "it's a good way to keep yourself healthy and its really dark In there"

Chronos blushed slightly and smiled faintly "Your probably right, she hated seeing me sad when she was alive, I'm sure she wouldn't liked to see me sad now. Thank you your majesty." Chronos said, looking at her. He was happy that the princesses truly cared for him.

Midnight nodded. She looked up at him. "How much longer do I have to sit in here? I'm getting hungry..." she said, her stomach growling lightly.

 

Celestia smiled, ruffling his mane. "I gotta make sure my best stallion is always cared for," she said with a smile. "Would you like to go take a walk around the courtyard for a while?"

"That would be delightful, your majesty." Chronos said, smiling slightly at her and standing up. He grabbed his helmet from off the floor and turned to her. He didn't put on his helmet, everytime he put on he thought about battle and right now he didn't want to think about that.

Grell smiled holding out his hoof "you can get out now if you want your healed up already" grell said using his other hoof to munch on another Apple he was doing good at keeping his withdrawal at bay as much as he hated to admit it he needed the apples

Celestia smiled, standing up. She stretched out her hind legs, yawning. She then looked at Chronos. "Follow me," she said with a smile.

 

Midnight smiled, taking his hoof and getting out. Her once deep gash was only a faint scar now. Her coat, mane and tail were dripping wet. She shook her head a little, getting some of the water off of her mane. The sun glinted off her wet coat, making her glimmer now.

"Yes , your majesty." Chronos said before following her. Chronos smiled at her and carried his helmet and shield on his back. His sword was back in his room, under the bed for safe keeping. He didn't want to be walking around with his sword everywhere unless he needed to use it. If he did he could just use his magic to teleport it to him.

Grell smiled and gave her a kiss handing her a

Bag of apples "sorry but this is all I got in me" grell said a small blush forming on his checks as he munched on his Apple he couldn't belive he forgot to grab food for her to now all they had was apples which was fine with him but he want sure midnight would want to eat apples all the time

Midnight smiled, taking them. "It's fine. I like apples," she said, putting her hoof in the bag and grabbing one. She munched on it, her ear twitching.

 

Celestia smiled, walking down the hall. "You don't have to be so formal when it's just me and you. Tia would work just fine," she said. She remembered how his wife used to always call her Tia, then blush and apologize for her informality.

"okay your... uhh Tia." Chronos said to her. He was so used to calling everypony by their formal title. When he was a squire he always was told by the knight he worked for to call everypony by their title, so he would always say sir, madame, majesty, highness, ect. This was the second time any of superiors had told him to call them by their name, Flair being the first.

"Oh, I'm fine,good as usual, nothings wrong!" Flux lied badly and rather obviously. She was quite surprised somepony noticed her presence when they were all too busy doing their own thing or talking to each other. "How are you?" She asked half heartedly out of common curtesy.

Novel looks around before smiling "can we go back now?" She asks, before looking at the door "I would like to study some more on those books" she smiles "there could be more information that they hide in their pages" she says and turns to look back at the door

Grell nodded "good" grell said piling out another Apple and munching on it"this way to the cave" grell said "I don't feel like galloping so we'll just walk" he nuzzled her even though she was still wet from the spring his muzzle getting wet form it but he didn't care

Aurora had seen her movements but wasn't reacting fast. When she was pinned she says, "I yield." As the new pony says hi Aurora gets up and says, "Hello." she then looks to lunar and says, "guess I shouldn't have held back. Next time will be different." Aurora bows respectfully.

Lunar smiled. "I'm a lot better now. Sparing really calms a mare, you know?" she said with a laugh. She looked back at Aurora. "I won't hold back either, my dear." She smiled sweetly, but there was a slight mischievousness in it.

 

Celestia smiled, walking down the hall. She came up to a big glass sliding door and opened it. She looked back at Chronos. "After you," she said with a smile.

 

Midnight nodded, finishing an apple and following him. Her coat slowly started drying in the sun.

 

Seth nodded, smiling. "I would love that, too." He looked at Luna. "Did you put her books back in her room?"

 

Luna nodded, smiling as she headed to the door. "Our dear sister did, yes."

Novel grins "I must study." She pauses and looks at Luna "may I return home for my studies. I'm close by. Seth will keep me on track when it comes to time." She asks, nervous to again ask for something that she feels is too much to ask for. She refuses to be timid and looks at Luna respectfully

Luna blinked, taken aback. What was wrong with the castle? Did she not find it suitable anymore? "I...suppose you could, but Seth isn't suppose to be allowed to leave when he is on active duty. You would have to go alone. And leaving now would mean you resign from the war," she says a bit coldly.

 

Seth's ears flattened. She wanted to leave? He knew he couldn't go with her. It's against the contract he signed.

Grell started walking while munching his Apples he had his scythe on his back walking to the cave "I must warn you that the nights won't be restful for you so youll be relying on the spring to make you feel rested as well" grell said he grabbed midnight And flash stepped to the cave "here we are"

Midnight nodded, a bit weary. She was scared to go to sleep. What kind of awful things would she see tonight? She clung to Grell, shaking a little. "O-okay..." she muttered, gulping. -So I'm going to get no sleep and probably wake up screaming...- she thought, still scared.

Grell held her close "don't worry I'll be right next to you the whole time midnight" grell said "but you must face the fears you behave it'll help make you braver and hopefully itll help you to not be as timid" grell said nuzzling her and kissing her cheek

Midnight nodded, looking at him. "I understand..." she said. She blushed, kissing him. She nuzzled him, then walked into the cave. "Am I going to get any sleep tonight?" She looked exhausted; she really needed some sleep, but knew she probably wouldn't sleep a wink tonight.

Grell nuzzled her "probably not but the spring will help with your exhaustion" grell said walking in there was two bed rolls already on the floor of the cave grell put his apples up and banished his scythe laying down in a bed roll pulling the other one closer

"Oh, no Tia. Mares first." Chronos said smiling at her, even though he wasn't calling her 'her majesty' he was still going to follow his chivalrous ways. He was happy that the princess he served was still more or less still a his good friend that cared for him. More then any general has besides maybe a couple.

Midnight sighed, nodded. She laid down in the other bed roll, yawning. "Will I ever be able to sleep...?" she asked, sighing.

 

Celestia smiled, walking through the door. She waited for Chronos. He was the closest thing to a stallionfriend she'd ever get. She knew he'd always be a dear friend, and that comforted her a little. It still got a little lonely somedays, though.
