Have you ever skipped school(or tried to)

I technically skipped school last year at high school at a special olympics event, because it was something that was worth 40% of my physical Education, but judging that I had showed myself for the first of that day at least, I just decided to go at a friend's house with my pals, and I felt cool about because it was far much better than to participate in such an annoying event

I used to do it all the time in high school before I quit. T'was interesting, because I would cut across the backwoods areas. Crossing the river on a fallen tree, walking through the fields and all that was the best part. Of course I wish I had never quit high school; for practical reasons, and because what memories I do have are freaking cool. It's true what they say; high school is the best four years of your life.

Oh I 've skipped school multiple times. I was forced out of the house to go to school, but I never went. I camped out at the library all day, and just wrote.

The last time I cut school was October 3, 2014. I wanted to pick up Super Smash Bros 3DS before heading to school, and I did. As I neared the school, I got a voice mail from my dad saying how i'm not in school and I knew I was in trouble. My only punishment was that it ruined my plans for that weekend.

If you mean if I've ever played hooky, no.

I have missed school before, but I haven't willingly skipped school.  It's just that life would be too dull at home during the week with my parents hovering over me and all, and my parents would pick up really fast if I wasn't in school or if I was faking illness.

I skipped High School a lot. And I mean, a lot. During tenth grade, I sometimes only showed up for one or two days a week, as I was way too engrossed in my internet activities, unbeknownst to my parents. I would hide in the neighbor's garden reading a book until the car left, and then use my keys to get in. On the days I was in school, instead of typing down what the teacher was saying, I plugged in a netstick and went to town. When it finally got out that instead of attending lessons I was working on programming projects, I was "honorably expelled" (had a long talk with the counselor and we agreed that I can finish school at a later point. She never said it or even hinted it but I knew in my guts that if I continued for even one more week I would be expelled.)

I brought up every single project I could think of that I worked on, sent it to the army, and was drafted a year earlier than my intended draft date into the intelligence corps. If I get through this unit without a hitch, what it could put on my resume, I wouldn't need a high school degree, and possibly neither university.

I'm a risk taker.

I once skipped school for an entire month and the school never told my mum that I was skipping even though they were supposed to do so.  I've also faked sickness just to stay home.  My school time has to be my worst times(at least 80% of it)

Not exactly. I enjoyed school for the most part, but I always had so much trouble getting up in the mornings. My parents eventually got tired of battling with me during middle school so I switched over to homeschooling. I tried to go back to school for high school, but again I had trouble getting up in the morning, and about a week into it my mom asked if I wanted to go back to homeschooling. I agreed, but I've regretted it ever since. :< If I'd been fully awake when she asked me I would've opted to stay in school. It's something that I struggle not to think about because I really, really wished I'd gone and now it's too late.

I never intentionally missed school. I missed the bus one time, and got sick a couple of times, but other than that, I've never missed a day of school intentionally. I was too busy with my nose in my books, and worrying that if I don't keep my GPA above 95% that i wouldn't get into University.

I skipped school many many times when I was younger and never got in trouble for it, I was a very convincing person for pulling 'sickies' back when I was a teen, I feel bad for it a little now though but not too much

I skipped tons of days of school from the 6th-8th grade, and if I didn't skip, I was late for class. For several reasons, whether it be anxiety, or just my mom not waking up in time to drive me, or if I just didn't feel like going. I rarely showed up on Mondays, to the point to where no one expected me to be at school on Mondays.

In 9th grade, I skipped around 70% of the time, as it was online school and the work could technically be done whenever. I rarely attended any of the classes because they were poorly taught and weren't required (even though they claimed they were). My teachers didn't care and didn't try to help me, neither did my parents.

I ended up dropping out, so, the best advice I can give anyone looking to skip school is to do the exact opposite of what I did. Don't be a moron like me. If there's something that's troubling you in school or with your own self, please let someone know. Do it before its too late.

Up until around 11th grade I didn't really skip much school.  During my junior year I just got pretty sick of school so I started coming late to classes and I never did any of my work. I eventually just flat out skipped all of my classes. At first I would just leave class and hang out in the library, but I ended up just staying home after a while. I attended school probably around 4-5 days in a month.

The funny thing is, I've learned so much more on my own (with books and the internet) than I've learned in school.

I've skipped school several times, but each time was during my school's "field day" where we run around outside in the hot weather for seven hours.

I never skip classes, since then I'll just have to make up the work and then I'll fall behind.

I did once in high school, once. It was a thrilling moment for me  :pinkie: , I had never gone to the principals office nor served one detention; you get the idea. Two classmates and I went to Mr. Burger and ate, well, burgers. I had the personification that I was an escapee like Billy The Kid, on the run, I felt so good because it was the first time I had bent the rules or in this case ignored them. We stole ketchup bottles from the restaurant and sprayed them (as if we were peeing) on a fire hydrant in front of goodness knows how many passing cars. It was the middle of winter so the red had nice contrast. Needless to say we returned to school unnoticed.

When I was in high school, I only skipped when I knew in ahead that a certain class will not need to be attended. Yes, High School definitely had more freedom than in Grade school. I too enjoyed the thrills of it.

When I previously went to college for the "wrong" program back in 2013, I skipped some classes cause I lost motivation to go to those classes because they were dull and boring to me.

Now that I'm in the "right" program, I never skip my classes. Because I don't want to miss anything important that the professors may say in person that won't be in the college's online learning system.
