Not sure how Shane vs. Styles will turn out but the build so far has been fantastic. 

 

I just watched Shane McMahon & The Undertakers HIAC match from last years WrestleMania on

 

WWE's Youtube channel & I've gotta be honest, I'm not exactly thrilled about Shane McMahon

 

trying to relive his glory days for the second year in a row after seeing that performance.

 

Who knows, Shane & Styles may surprise me but, as of right now the "match" portion of this feud

 

doesn't interest me in the slightest.

As controversial as Shane McMahon returning to the ring after 6 years is, you can't deny he's putting the work in

 

He's in great shape and he's still able to get some good spots in, and a 40 year old man taking a dive from the top of the HIAC is really quite amazing

 

I think the problem is he had the wrong opponent. Not to diss Taker or anything, I'm just saying he's nearly maxed out the stamps on his bump card. Credit to the Deadman for still going, but he's in his 50s and he wasn't really the perfect opponent for Shane O'Mac

 

AJ Styles, on the other hand, is much more suitable. They're around the same age, and they can still work. I can already see these two pulling off some amazing spots at Mania.

 

I dunno guys, I'm personally looking forward to Shane vs Styles

 I thought they were hilarious & my favorite character was "Lance Catamaran".

Haven't watched yet, but I did see Bryan Zane's review and he was practically gushing about it, so I may give it a try later today.

 

Okay I watched them. They're alright. Not gut busting laughing. But they're amusing. I'll keep watching. Though if you want a real good time, go visit the comment section.

So here's another bit of trivia for you all. 

 

6 wrestlers have competed in or signed onto WWE, while reigning as champion for another major company. 

 

Can you name them all? 

 

(Co-promotional shows and the invasion do not count)

Okay since nopony bothered with the trivia, here are the answers anyways:

 

 

 

  1. NWA World Champ. Harley Race (fought WWF champ Bob Backlund at MSG)
  2. NWA/WCW World Champ. Rick Flair (debuted w/ the big gold in '91)
  3. WCW Crusierweight Champ Ultimo Dragon (won the WWF Light-heavyweight championship)
  4. NWA World Champ. Dan Severn (competed on Raw in '99)
  5. ECW World Champ. Taz (fought HHH in a champ vs. champ match)
  6. ROH World Champ. CM Punk (signed his WWE contract on the ROH title belt) 

 

 

Now onto a different story. Word has gotten out that WWE might be trying to buy ROH. Or at least try to license it's tape library. This may complicate the ever evolving geo-political landscape that has been forming over the last year. The wrestling world appears to be splitting in two. It sorta looks like this.

As for the Ring of Honor news, imagine what the future "Best of AJ Styles", "Best of Samoa Joe" or

 

"Best of Austin Aires" releases would be like if WWE could get the ability to use content from ROH.  :sunbutt:

 

Unfortunately, they probably wouldn't include any "CM Punk vs Samoa Joe" matches.

Since WrestleMania is only one week away I was wondering:

"What is your favorite WrestleMania & why?"

I think my favorite WrestleMania would have to be WrestleMania XIX.

A few reasons I chose this particular PPV are:

  1. I really like the arena WWE chose & thought it looked really unique.
  2.  Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels. (One of my top 5 favorite matches of ALL time.)
  3. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock.
  4. Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
