Sparklefan1234 151,042
@Denim&Venöm I skip WWF's lightheavyweight and hardcore matches because I honestly think both are very repetitive with wrestlers I don't care about. Rewatching old WWF shows has made Big Boss Man into my least-favorite wrestler of the AE because his matches then were so boring.

I came in just before PG, so delving back on YouTube for hardcore matches was fun. But hearing the 24/7 title (rip) nonsense on a weakly basis, yeah Id inagine things getting dull. Even watching X division and junior heavyweight matches excelled past what WCW did, and they were lightyears ahead of what WWF did in their pale imitation. NOAHs got good juniors. But their choice if champ is baffling. Hayata isn't bad per se. But he's outshined by everyone else. All he's got going for him is his gothic street punk look that makes Jeff Hardy look like the yellow dog.

I think "botch compilation" wrestling videos are more fun to watch nowadays, TBH.

Not if the drop in stock price at even the mere rumor of him pulling a Palpatine has anything to say about it. In nicer news, finally watching NJPW x Stardom: Historic Crossover. And I'm seeing something most collab shows tend to overlook. Style and synergy.

I hope that makes sense. And we can thank AEW for making that idea bankable again. Everyone wants to work together just to oppose the WWE monolith. NJPW X Stardom has been a good show. They've got presentation nailed down. Everyone looks like a star. Cyberfight nailed that mark as well over the Summer with their super show. Everyone from NOAH to DDT to TJPW getting grand entrances and stylish gear. American promoters forget that wrestling itself needs to be a spectacle. Giant HD screens, musical guest stars, celeb appearances and pyro don't make your wrestling product look cool unless your wrestlers themselves look and act cool. And yeah, it does make sense. There's high morale and no need to walk on egg shells anymore. Think what you will of Trips in the ring, but he's a fan at heart and wants to see WWE flourish, for his employees and the fans. He's proved himself to those that matter and those who matter aren't keen on wanting a Vinny Jr. return.

I like the Wrestle Kingdom* stage with all of the lightbulbs and the long enterance ramp. It is simple but grand at the same time. WrestleMania is cool but I don't care about the musical acts or celebrity guests, I watch wrestling for the wrestling. *On second thought, that might've been a WCW show in Japan. 14 minutes ago, Denim&Venöm said: And yeah, it does make sense. I don't know what WWE thinks internally, but I'm happy that most of the wrestlers who have been released were brought back particuarly Emma and Dakota Kai. Also, William Regal is a great talent scout from what I've heard so if that's what his new role ends up being then WWE's future is looking bright, IMO.
