But may rewatch the last Suzuki-gun match whenever Kev & Chris get around to dubbing it. Other than Dynamite, not much on the calendar until NOAH's New Years show, feat. Shinsuke vs. Muta, the reunion of Marufuji & KENTA, and Kaito vs. Kenoh in a rematch from their MotY contender 357 days ago, but for the world title this time.
Denim&Venöm 14,202
A lot of stuff happened in 2022. So here's some stuff you may have missed.
Denim&Venöm 14,202
And massive news out of Mexico. FTR just lost the AAA tag titles to Dralistico and Dragon Lee. But that's not the big news. Because right after winning those belts, the team vacated them. Why? *smacks head* Here's why. And it's not just that. Between Tay & Sammy being stripped of their belts, Andrade trying to get back into Connecticut with Good ol' Paul back in charge and it getting out Dragon Lee was working without a contract, WWE maybe trying to build a bridge to AAA. And demolish the one built by AEW. WWE may also have changed it's stance on indy contractors, as they'll have a monopoly on what Lee can do in the ring, but his side projects are free for him to do. WWE is on it's way to becoming more and more black and gold. This may have ramifications on the likes of the Lucha Bros, Rush & Dralistico staying as well. While there maybe gratitude towards AEW, AAA is also their home promotion and may not be so willing to jump to their bitter rivals CMLL, just to stuck around. But on the other hand, a WWE/AAA alliance may negate any potential partnership with NJPW, as they're ride or die with CMLL and may stick by AEW for that reason. WWE poaching NJPW's top guys in AJ, Nakamura, Gallows & Anderson (Twice) probably doesn't help WWE's case either.
Denim&Venöm 14,202
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that former Impact wrestling commentator Don West has passed away due to his battle with cancer. The voice many heard on impact for the first time alongside Mike Tenay, Don's enthusiasm behind the booth made him feel like the biggest fan in the impact zone. He was exactly what the company needed to stand out from the competition. He knew how to sell a wrestling fed better than wrestlers sell their matches. Rest in power, Don. May your legacy live on. 1

Your enthusiasm made Total Non-Stop Action feel like the place to be in wrestling and your commentary with Mike Tenay was a lot of fun to listen to. You helped make AJ Styles "Phenomenal" and now every time he hits the Pelé Kick I can't help but hear you excitedly calling the move. May your legacy live on. 1

Made me sad to hear the news. Don West was one of the reasons I was invested in TNA back in the mid to late 2000s.

NOAH must've had this on the books for a while. They had to have asked around August at the latest. But once the regime change went down, Nak's pals encouraged him to take another shot and I guess Trips gave it the green, or in this case Emerald, light.
