Sparklefan1234 151,601 September 10, 2016 Share September 10, 2016 (edited) I wouldn't say it's completely boring. Shane vs Taker. Money in the Bank. Royal Rumble. All of the Team Hell No segments. Randy's car being destroyed two separate times. I over exaggerated a bit there, I apologize. I haven't watched a full WWE show since the Smackdown where AJ Styles cost Dolph Ziggler a title shot. Attitude Era was still the best, though. I'd say until Unforgiven 2006 for me. (Trish Stratus's retirement match) But, I'm biased. Sparklefan1234 151,601 September 10, 2016 Share September 10, 2016 (edited) To that, I have this reply. The thing is I don't really care all that much about blood and cussing and the "TV 14" stuff. I just feel like the stories and characters aren't interesting enough to me to hold my attention because a lot of the guys I see look, act and wrestle similarly, IMO. I haven't seen a full show in years. I try to watch the Raws after each of "The Big 4" PPVS but, I just can't bring myself to care about any one of these new people and it's not because I'm an "Attitude Era mark". Ugh, I hate when people say that. Edited September 10, 2016 by Sparklefan1234

Sparklefan1234 151,601 September 10, 2016 Share September 10, 2016 Ok, what are your opinions on John Cena? Personally, I like John Cena. I think he's good on the mic and passable enough in the ring to deserve the accolades he's achieved. Not to mention the amount of charity work he does. *Let the booing and hurling of insults commence*

But, he already does Hurricanrana's, Springboard Stunners and Yoshi Tonics, what more could you possibly want?! JK He needs to go back to being "The Doctor Of Thuganomics" and/or start actually putting some people over, though. He was pretty funny when he was rapping and He's kinda put over AJ Styles twice and...Cena's gonna win the rubber match, isn't he? Unless, we all pray to "The Wrestling God" JBL, that is, ha, ha. Castle Bleck 18,960 September 10, 2016 Share September 10, 2016 Admittedly, I do like Cena's Famouser-type move from the top rope: However, Regal still has best STF:
Ruddboy Olaf 10,621 September 10, 2016 Share September 10, 2016 But, he already does Hurricanrana's, Springboard Stunners and Yoshi Tonics, what more could you possibly want?! JK You know what I'm referring to. The 5 moves of doom. He was pretty funny when he was rapping and He's kinda put over AJ Styles twice and...Cena's gonna win the rubber match. That would be a perfect time to turn him heel. Unless Styles is the heel. However, Regal still has best STF: Regal's STF is a cross-legged STF. Cena's is a single leg STF. Of course the Regal stretch looks better.

That honor belongs to the Diamond Cutter or the Molly Go Round I would also put AJ Styles "Pelé Kick" & "Spiral Tap" on my list as well: and while we're on the subject of John Cena, I don't understand the reason the "Attitude Adjustment" gets hated on so much. I like to believe one of the reasons the "AA" is a "Glorified Fireman's Carry" and not a traditional "Death Valley Driver" is because they're trying to minimize the possibility of an injury to the wrestlers necks and heads. TheRockARooster 43,447 September 11, 2016 Share September 11, 2016 Why, because he got beat by Triple H? That match meant nothing and Sting said a thousand times already that he was okay with it, considering he got the best paycheck of his career. Do you really think, his legendary matches with guys like Ric Flair, Vader, Hogan, etc. are obsolete now? In that case, you should reconsider everything, because Sting dosen't deserve this kinda hate. Besides, if there was one thing that tainted his career, then his match against Jeff Hardy from Victory Road, because Jeff was of the opinion to let himself get drugged. People paid to see this match and they will laugh about it for the next 100 years. Still, you don't see me complain about Stings career being ruined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPBEGQ5Ix1Q You should also watch this and then you might understand why Sting, or alot of other wrestlers do certain things, that might seem stupid in hindsight. Why do I have to reconsider how I feel? I can't help it.

I think he's good on the mic and passable enough in the ring to deserve the accolades he's achieved. Not to mention the amount of charity work he does. *Let the booing and hurling of insults commence* I agree that he's a stand up guy. A legit hero IRL. And that he's also very good int he ring. He can have good matches w/ bad wrestlers (see ONS '07 vs. The Great Khali). I have no issue w/ the man or the wrestler. It's the gimmick. So stale/ So bland. His gimmick is 'the good guy.' That's it. He gets booed cause his opponents have more depth than he does. Not to mention that he's the over dog in pretty much every encounter. 15x world champ? Wins the majority of matches. Seems to always kick out of at least one finisher. CM Punk said it best. He's not Luke Skywalker. He's the evil empire. I guess you can compare Cena to Applejack. AJ hasn't been written well in MLP. Why? Because any flaws of her's have already been addressed, any problems she's had have been solved, and any growth of her character has already happened. Just like John Cena. He's become world champ. He's already moved on from his villainous ways, and overcame most villains along the way, all the while lacking any flaws that humanize him. In short, Cena is a good wrestler, and even better human being. But he's a lousy, poorly written character in the narrative of the WWE story.
