I carry my phone (which also conveniently doubles as a pedometer), my wallet (beyond my credit and debit cards, it also has my bus pass), and a charger cable for my phone. I'll also carry around a backpack with a laptop and accessories, but that's only on Fridays and Saturdays when I head to my local college.

This is a picture of EVERYTHING I keep with me in my denim jacket, which I tend not to go far without.

The first shell casing from the first rifle I ever fired

A 1960 silver half-dollar coin

A Chuck-E-Cheese token

The Darth Vader keyring I was given as a party favor for my friend's wedding (I was Best Man; the other fellas got stormtrooper keychains)

Two poker chips, both good for one beer each at a defunct biker bar - I earned those from karaoke night

Sound-dampening earplugs, firing-range grade

Two wristbands from Cons I attended last year

The bottom button for my jacket 

A VERY smooth river rock

A square piece of my buddy's shower stall (after remodeling; it looked nifty)

I may forget my phone at times, but I will never EVER forget my 3DS. I need to street pass people. School is tomorrow and I think that the people I Streetpass will get me past the Armored Fiend in Find Mii and I probably get plenty of pieces in Puzzle Swap.

My EDC items are pretty basic.

 

~Keys with metal WLF Fluttershy keychain(she hangs outside of my pocket, like a lanyard. Makes it easy to pull out my keys and she won't get tangled up in things, like a lanyard does occasionally....which is what I originally had before I got her.)

~Phone

~Bluetooth headphones

~Pocket change

~Tim Horton's reloadable Tim Card.(never know when I get a craving for a donut or want a coffee)

 

If I'm riding my bike then I'm also carrying these items

 

~5mm Allen key (since that's basically the only tool I need to put together/take apart my bike...if I need to)

~heavy duty chain lock, worn as a belt.(makes for easier access,)

~Cree LED torchlight.

Just my wallet, which has nothing more than my debit card and ID for everyday use just in case. If I'm out for a longer period of time, then I'll bring my MP3 player and/or my 3DS.

 

I try not to bring a lot with me since anything else beyond basic necessity is pointless and because of the (paranoid) thought of having something of mine stolen or left behind.
