Once I get off the plane and drop the stuff at the hotel. I'm going to look for the nearest theater to see Furious 7. Been waiting for it to come out. I know there will be a theater doing a thurs night premiere. The ones by me in my state do it.

I would love to know more about this! Myself and several others will be around Thursday night, and I can't deny that it will be hard to resist getting my party on early!  :pinkie:

I know what you mean, I am planing on checking in early and work out. Make a very shibby drink (+21). Then go to pre-reg, have some dinner and get the night zero kick-back boucing.

I dunno how you guys can party after a plane ride. Maybe I'm just fragile. Me? Gonna check in, set up shop, then promptly fall asleep once they kick us out for the night.

I dunno how you guys can party after a plane ride. Maybe I'm just fragile. Me? Gonna check in, set up shop, then promptly fall asleep once they kick us out for the night.

 

I'm not plane riding, it's just a 40 minute drive from my house. And having a drink and getting into party mode is exactly what I normally do after work. :D

That's my plan to survive tabling! Well, a combo of Coke, turkey jerky, and green tea and honey. If you find yourself losing your voice or just sore/scratchy throat, drink green tea with honey. It's pretty magical for that (and a must-have for my post-con recuperation kit!)

I'm coming up from Los Angeles and probably fretting over everything on the way there. It's just what I do, I fret.

I'm curious about this too! I wanna party it up thursday night... but do you need to be 21 to get into most parties? I'm almost there! Just a few more months! 

no, but if you want alcohol you need to be older than 21.

I know of several parties both open- and closed-door, but they're all 21+ events. If you aren't interested in that sort of thing or aren't able to attend, there will most likely be plenty of social groups and activities for which you'll be better suited. Last year there were a number of flyers pinned up in the lobby for stuff attendees had planned. Maybe that'll happen again and you can easily locate something that way, even though it'll be a day before the con officially starts. Plenty of people will be there and looking for Day Zero festivities to start things off right.
