Spellbind sighed. Deep within in her heart of hearts, she knew that the emotional abuse she put herself through was not right, and that she did not deserve it, and that people did genuinely care for her. That feeling was what made her go to Tyra so her wounds could be tended to.

Tyra smiled as Spellbind approached her, and she led her down through the ship to the medical area.

"Let us have a look in here," she muttered, leading the unicorn inside.

 

She had seen foals being treated for cuts by their parents using bandages, which there seemed to be plenty of.

Grinning, she grabbed the small box and began planting bandages gently over every cut on Spellbind's body.

 

"I hope this is of some assistance," she muttered through her teeth, holding each bandage carefully.

Spellbind smiled with pleasure while Tyra did the task of bandaging and plastering the cuts she had made. This was precisely the warmth and appreciation she needed and always denied herself. "Thank you for doing this for me Tyra" said Spellbind. "Nice that you don't mind cleaning up after the mess I made."

"It is my pleasure," Tyra smiled warmly up at Spellbind, "as long as my friends are safe, that is what matters!"

 

She glanced toward the door. "I hope Rave and Caramel are alright, though. After what those two had been through, and I feel a bit bad for being the one to go against his orders."

 

She made a mental note to apologise next time she saw him.

Caramel walked together with Rave, heading upstairs. Arriving above deck, there was nopony around. "Strange, I'm sure everypony was just here a few minutes ago." Caramel said looking around confused. "Where did everypony go to?" Caramel said as she walked around deck.

"Aye, I hope she is also safe," Tyra agreed, nodding as she glanced toward the door, "She is the one who took us back to the ship, I believe."

 

She left the medical room with Spellbind and returned to the deck, spotting Caramel and Rave. She grinned and trotted up to the pegasus, giving her a tight hug.

"It is good to see you are faring much better!" She smiled.

 

She let go and looked to Rave, lowering her head.

"I apologise for disobeying you and going ahead without you," she said solemnly, "I hope you may forgive me for my hastiness."

Lordy used alcohol tu sterilize the cut then stitched the wound in a pretty unprofessional manner with some thing string... That should do.. And it should also be pretty easy to remove as well when the wound is healed. He placed the mare on her bed (or hammock... Idk) and tip toed out of the room, closing the door silently behind him.

Caramel hugged Tyra back and then listened to what she was saying. "I am feeling better. No need for apolagizing. what happened here is no ones fault. It's the magic of this island. It's very dark magic." Caramel said as she looked at the forest for a moment before looking back to Tyra. "There is no way we're getting that treasure. Best we leave as soon as possible."

Rave looked at Caramel. "The magic is dark, but it is not what you think it is. This is magic, this curse..... it is pure hatred. I can feel it. I know dark magic really well, believe me. This is something that you don't have access to..... until your body has been destroyed and your soul deeply corrupted".

"Aye, I agree," Tyra nodded, looking sternly to the two ponies, "It is best we make as much distance between ourselves and this island as soon as possible, before anypony else is targeted."

 

Like herself.

 

"I will happily return to the helm, should you need me to," she informed Caramel.

"Yes, returning will be best, but this whole trip will have been for nothing. No treasure, so no payment either." Caramel said looking at Tyra and Rave. "I'll be inndept with all of ye and honestly I don't want that." She said. "I'm going to look through my books, see if I can find a solution." Caramel said as she started to walk to her room.

Rave walked after her. "No payment will be necessary for me. You have provided me with a lot of adventure and new lands to map down. I am truly thankful. I have met a lot of new ponies and I am proud to call them my friends..... I have also met the sweetest and most wonderful mare in the world as well" he said blushing. "There is no need to pay me, seeing you is payment enough".

Caramel stopped and turned around upon hearing Rave's words. "Uhm...about that Rave...After this journey....after we're back at Horse Shoe Bay...It's really painfull to say this but......I will be gone...out of yer life. Everyponies life actually. We will part ways and ye'll probably never see me again. Do ye understand? Rave?." Caramel said with sadness.

Rave looked away from her in pain, then back at her. "Why? Why must you keep on running away? Whatever your problems may be, whatever your past may be, I want to help you. I want to be there for you. I love you and I will go anywhere in Equestria with you, even outside of Equestria".

"I know you do, I know you will follow me where ever I go but what if I don't want that. What if I want to be alone." Caramel said turning away from Rave. "I'm sorry Rave." Caramel said as she walked to her room slowly, with her head hanging down. She closed the door behind her when she entered her room, locking it and then walking to her desk, tears coming from her eyes.

Rave turned away as well. He had never felt this sad before. He would give his life for this mare, yet it come to it he would never see her ever again. "I'm sorry" he said right outside her door. He went down below decks into his own room and locked it as well, not wanting to talk to anypony.

Caramel whipped of her tears with her hoof and started looking at all her books, maybe finding another treasure somewhere else. "I hate reading, I'm never going to find something this way."

After reading for a while, Caramel got tired as she still couldn't find anyhting. "Only one other solution, I don't like it but I don't have much choice." Caramel said talking to herself. She opened her door and walked on deck. ''Everypony, get off yer flanks and get to work. We're sailing back!" she said loud.

"already?" violet asked, "oh, well. aye, aye, captn' "

 

she flew, and started untying the masts. "but why does it have to end here?" she asked herself, "it seemed so short lived...but im sure caramel has her own reasons...and  must respect that. right, flare?" 

 

the phoenix cawed.

 

"your right, i still owe her a punch."

"Aye, lets us be ready." Caramel said as she flew towards the other mast so that she could take down the other sails. She then pulled up the ancor and walked towards the steering wheel. "Where is everypony?"Caramel asked Violet. "I'm going to need more help if we want to keep this ship sailing straight."

Lordy got out from bellow deck, he heard the orders and dropped everything he had.

"Wait... back... you mean actually stable land... Ill raise the anchor.... and open up the sails right away!"

He started levering the anchor chain up... wow... it was heavy. Nomatter how hard he pushed, one couldnt raise the anchor alone, now could he?

Rave was suddenly standing by Lordy's side, using his own strength to help Lordy pull up the anchor. "Come on, we need to push harder". Rave was not used to working without his horn, but he was really not in the mood for much else. This was a good distraction from his sorrows.

Scarlett wakes up in her room on her bed to the feeling of swaying. She tried to sit up and a surge of pain goes through her side. Grunting she flops back down.

 

Sighing, she gets up and off the bed ignoring the pain and goes above deck. Seeing everypony working she asks "What can I do?"

Tyra blinked as she heard the voyage was coming to a close. A shame, she was really enjoying it.

But no matter, more adventures awaited her, hopefully with these ponies by her side.

 

She hopped up to Caramel and smirked proudly.

"What will you have me do?" She asked, putting a hoof to her chest.

"Scarlett, What are ye doing here? Yer wounded, go back to bed." Caramel said as she turned towards Tyra. "Take over the wheel, go starboard and then just straight forward once yer past the island. I need to talk to Rave." Caramel said as she walked up to him. "Rave, we gotta talk, in private."
