Hello! I apologize if there is already a topic of this but I need help.

How do I make a gif my avatar?

 

 

 

PLEASE READ:

 

- I have used imgur.com to resize the gif so that it is the appropriate size, but when I try to put it as my avatar, I am told that it is still too large

 

- I have used 3 other gif resizing websites to no avail.

You have to be sure that its dimensions are 150 x 150 and its under the 150 kb size.

 

I use this site:

1. Crop it
2. Resize it to 150 x 150
3. and then edit it so it's below the 150 kb limit. just click on the 'gif optimization' tab on the site and play around with the effects (lossy gif, remove frames, and color optimization) to get it below 150 kb

If all else fails, I could possibly edit it if you like.

Then follow those steps from Wheatley to do that size.

If it has to resize on the site end at all, it kills the gif portion. It basically resizes and uploads the first frame of the gif.

I have the GIF here, because I tried compressing it.

The problem is, the file size is huge, something around the 900kb mark. I tried formatting it down, but either the GIF itself has to be small, or sacrifices quality. This is the best I got:
