2015 BABSCon Haul!

So, we had a thread like this last year, but what did everybody bring home from the con?

 

Here's my personal BABSCon haul:

 

First of all, are a couple of glasses.  The left one is a licensed Twilight glass signed by Tara Strong.  On the right is a hand painted Fluttershy glass given to me as a gift by my good friend @Diva Pony!  (The painted one has my icon on the front and another picture of Fluttershy on the back)

 

 

 

These next glasses were commissioned by @Surf City Etching.  The left one is a wine glass with Fluttershy's cutie mark on it, and the right is an Irish Coffee Mug with Fluttershy on the front and Fluttershy's cutie mark on the back.  It's a bit difficult to see in the photo but absolutely gorgeous in person.

 

 

Surf City Etching also made me this money clip which I used to hold my Poniverse business cards.  

 

 

Next up is my High Society package swag.  You can see the shirt, bag, pin, lanyard and badge in the photo.

 

 

And then of course my BABSCon staff shirt, lanyard, and badge:

 

 

And my Poniverse and MLP Forums staff swag including my Panelist badge (so many badges), my MLP Forums shirt, and a full set of the buttons we were giving out at the con.

 

 

Because I didn't already get enough new shirts at this con just by coming, I had to pick up this Fluttershy shirt from Tsitra360's table.  Probably one of my favorite pony shirts.

 

 

I also grabbed a few comics to get myself back up to date on the series:

 

 

 

And I couldn't go home without picking up a Golden Gates plush <3 (Best con mascot)

 

 

Next up on the gift train is an adorable Parasprite plush by @Love (Even has 'Simon' embroidered on the back <3)

 

 

Then I had to raid Tony Fleecs's table.  I picked up this absolutely stunning print by Tony Fleecs which he signed for me.  And then I had Andrea Libman sign it as well to make it even more awesome.

 

 

If that print wasn't awesome enough, @Jeric bought me a commission from Tony Fleecs as well.  Bet you won't recognize this picture

 

 

Not totally convention swag, but I also got my Celestia Funko and Pinkie Pie blind bag from the MCM giveaways from Jeric at the convention, and I got a Discord Funko that Michael was holding on to for me at the convention.

 

 

And if all of this stuff wasn't enough, @Koukatsu also gave me a Fluttershy print.  That's the one thing I haven't gotten to in unpacking yet, so I won't include a picture of it, but it's pretty epic <3  (Seriously, have I mentioned how amazingly generous my forum friends are?  So many gifts <3)

 

I'm so thrilled with my con haul... didn't cost a ton (course like half of it was gifts cause amazing people are amazing), and the things I got were all absolutely amazing looking.... the pictures don't do this merch justice..

 

So with all that aside, what did everybody else leave the con with?

I have all my staff stuff, a con store shirt, and a really cute Rarity bag from Sugar Clay Cafe. I got a couple of pins and keychains, too. I also got a sick Twilight plush from Paul at the end of the hall, and it's my first and only pony plush.

Here's what I got from BABSCon:

 

My Fluttershy and Rarity plushes together. :D I was walking around with the Fluttershy one and for a little bit, the Rarity one as well. They gave me good company.

 

My Princess Luna and Rarity hats I bought from the Athena's Wink vendor. I was wearing the Luna hat at the con for a long period of time:

Hmm... let's see.

 

I've got my staff badge, lanyard and shirt... I picked up the three mascot plushes, Golden Gates, Silver Span and Copper Chip... got the BABSCon '15 tote and shirt.

I bought three prints, the one on the top left by TheOnlyCottonCandy, and the two on the right by BerryPAWNCH, both signed, very happy about these.

 

I also got a few buttons from TheOnlyCottonCandy and one of the MLPF mascot from @@Simon as well. It was great meeting you and Feld0 at the con, even if it was only for a minute or so. THE VENDOR HALL NEEDS ME! (probably... not really.)

Actually though I didn't buy as much as it looks like... most of that was stuff that was either gifted to me or I got during registration.  The only things I actually bought myself in the vendor's hall were the Surf City Etching glasses & money clip, the comics, the Golden Gates plush, the Fleecs print, the Fluttershy shirt, and the autographed Twilight glass.

Babs Con was lots of fun. I didn't get as much stuff as I normally do because my budget was rather limited so I only got a few things. But I did like what I got.

 

 

This was a calendar from the brony thank you fund. And a special print from Dr. Wolf which he was selling to help someone get to Bronycon this year.

 

 

Can't leave without pony posters and artwork.

 

 

I got more signed cards. Sweets, Flutters, Pinkie, and the Twilight cards are newly signed.

 

 

I got a clock, a small portable bag, a towel, two toy sets, two shirts, the elements of harmony box that came with my badge and a Sweetie Drops Funko (not pictured).

 

Overall, a minor addition to my collection but I am glad to have gotten that stuff.

 

Sorry for the weak quality of my pictures. I am not sure why they came out like that.

She doesn't do a lot of them but if you are patient I guess she does.  And she knows me from last year.  I got her Golden Gates plush from last year and also bought her Luna.  I wrote to her at some point and sent her pictures of Diva Pony and asked if she could do it and when she finally said yes it was a bad time for me.  So I said let's wait but she surprised me anyway.  She said I didn't have to take her at the con that I could wait but my goodness I had to have her!  And the timing was much better then anyway.

 

You can contact her through Deviant Art where she is set up.  I think she does take some orders through that site when she isn't busy working on the cons she will set up at.

Brony Dad shirt and hat signed by the Drummonds. I also won this at the auction for a ridiculously low price (which Simon can count his blessings on since this was his fault). I ended up getting Charlotte Fullerton and Daniel Ingram to sign the cap. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This Tony Fleecs commission I picked up for my youngest daughter since her Best Pony is Derpy. 

 

 

 

 

 

Here we have the small Golden Gates plushie. This was literally the last one available at the con. Thanks to @Simon for yelling at me to run and grab one before it sold out. 

 

The three parasprite plushies you see are courtesy of @Love ... one for me and one for each of my daughters (one of whom took to holding it watching the show thus far). All of our fan names are even embroidered on the back. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then there is this. @Simon sort of saved the day. Tara Strong had left early so I was not able to get her autograph. My daughter desperately wanted her Harley Quinn pic signed by Tara. Simon remembered Purple Tinker had a vendor booth with autographed stuff. Now my oldest is a HUGE Harley Quinn fan, and it was Arkham City (Tara Strong V/A of Harley) that turned her into a full on comic nerd. This was a find and a half. Thanks Simon. 

 

 

 

 

 

This was also from the charity auction. During the auction, Peter New painted on canvas and auctioned it off. I walked off with this masterpiece. Behold ... a Peter New original I cal ... Eyup of Princess Big Mac. I also got to keep the paints and my oldest daughter (the artist) freaked out. Yay.  She has already used them. She is one with Eyup. 

 

 

 

I have no issue with giving people stuff. I love making memories and making people ... well ... smile. I don't like it the other way. I don't receive gifts well. Simon and Michael, those lovable dorks they are, actually presented me with a Rarity Wine glass and made me tear up. No doubt they also won't forget seeing a look of mixed shock and horror cross my face. This was a moment I cherish. Thank you. But you are still jerks for the surprise feels. 

 

 

 

Notice a trend in all of this ... most of these items have a moment, a memory, attached to them. That is why I go to cons. This was a haul indeed ... just not one strictly of material possessions.

Alright, my turn to show off my swag from the Con.  I don't think I bought as much this year as I did last year, but the stuff I did get is really awesome!

 

First off, my BABScon business cards, along with some of @Koukatsu and @Love's business cards that somehow ended up with mine, and my Poniverse Mascot buttons.

 

 

Next up are the plushes I got on this trip.  I got the Golden Gates, Silver Span and Copper Chip plush from the convention, as well as a Parasprite from @Love

 

Up next, my stuff from the con itself, the bag they handed out to High Society and above, as well as my High Society and Vendor's badges.

 

I also got some glasses, 3 from Surf City etching and 1 from my good friend @Diva Pony.  I got a Button Mash Pint glass, a Rarity Wine glass, and a Rainbow Dash pint glass for my boyfriend.  My friend Diva got me the Docotor Whoves Wine glass with with my Forum icon on it, and I absolutely love it!

 

Next we have the prints I got, one from Braeburn, and the other is a Fleecs print that @Simon got me, both of which I love

 

Last of all, we have the best thing I got at the convention.  Maryke Hendriske's autograph on my Black Lagoon Blu Ray set, as well as her signature on the first DVD in the set.  I'm gonna get Tabitha, Bryan and Cathy to sign it next time I get a chance.

 

All in all it was an amazing convention, thanks in no small part to all my friends being there and sharing all these wonderful memories with me.  Can't wait for next year guys!

Thank you, my collection is almost exclusively Princess Luna. Especially the figures that look show quality. Some Lina figures don't look like her or the color is way off. Just wish there were more Luna Merchandise available.
