You tell a time were you were told not to do something, or listen to someone ramble on about a subject or topic you don't care about and add "But I didn't listen!" at the end.

 

Examples: "They told me not to watch ponies, but I didn't listen!"

 

"They told me the phone call was important, but I didn't listen!"
