Tyra listened in awe at Sifana's claims at her father's power with his weapon.

"Sleipnir's mane," she gasped, blinking slowly, "his sword sounds much like my axe! I would love to face him in the arena some day!" She smirked, then quickly put on a grin as she assured Sifana, "Simply as a friendly competition, of course!"

Suddenly, a blue mare flew out from behind the milkshake stand, moving towards Ice Blizzard and Lorec at a full run. Not looking where she was going, the mare smacked directly into one of Lorec's massive legs , where she simply bounced off before hitting the ground.

"Ow..." she whined, holding a hoof to her head for a moment. Then, in an instant, anger took control of her, and she jumped to her feet, horn glowing as she blindly shouted at her assailant.

"What is your problem, running into the Great and Powerful Trixie like that?! If you think she's going to let you off with a warning, you are sorely..."

It took her a moment to realize exactly who or what she was talking to, and then her eyes went wide. They continued to grow wider as they traveled further and further up the minotaur's massive body. When they got to the top, she simply stopped and stared in a panic, her horn fizzling out with a dull sputter. This minotaur looked like he could crush her like an ant.

"Mistaken," she finished in a bizzarely high-pitched tone. And with that, she bolted in the opposite direction, leaping over and hiding behind one of the round tables at the milkshake stand. She was shaking like a leaf.

"Please don't hurt Trixie! Trixie is usually a nice mare...she promises!"

@, @@Chivalry Knight, (sorry for cutting our spar short. :P )

caliber immediately cut off his attack. "okay...thats enough. it is a simple spar, after all." caliber said, grinning. "you could easily pass for an A rank." he sheathed his sword, and started walking to get some food. he passed by trixie "oh, hey trixie..."

he was half-way done ordering his meal, when he realized. "wait, trixie?" he spun around. he grinned. "hey! its me, caliber! you know, one of your fans?"

Blizzard welcomed the big guy's friendly attitude, "Thanks. I do think those scars of yours are pretty cool. And that you must have been through hell. Haha. I've been through the depths of Tartarus with that axe girl over there *points to Tyra* and she and I have helped each other through thick and thin. And I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have snapped, but I'm just a liiiitle protective of my friends you know? I mean, she's helped me so much, the very instant I THINK she's in danger, I'm gonna step up as her loyal friend. I kinda like you too. You're a MINOTAUR. That's awesome by definition where I come from."

Lorec slowly gathered his thoughts and paraphernalia. He put the tunic back on, and re-wrapped the bandages back around his arms. As he did so, he spoke. This time, solemnly.

" Hell? Sure, I would guess. These scars are not exactly anything to be proud of. While they stand as a testament to wars fought, they also each have a story to tell, mein freund. And not every play written is a comedy. Cherish that you've had an overall peaceful life."

He said, as he finished.

" you fight for your comrades. Thats respectable. But also respect the fact that they can fight for themselves. No one likes to look like they all need protection. Every being has some sort of self-worth. Let them have at least that, if nothing else. Do you understand what I mean?"

Hs said, offering a handshake to Ice's hoof.

" Sorry about what I said, Ice. When we fight in the arena, prove to me that you are fit to stand beside me as Krigare, and not prey."

Sifana giggled again.

" I'll tell Papa you want a match later, then! I bet you two will have fun! And your family is the chief bloodline of your domain? You're practically royalty in Sadauris! That will thrill Papa even more! Maybe that might be the place I go to for the rite!"

Lorec then felt a small bump on his leg. Had someone ran into him? Next thing he knew, a pony was going on about being apologetic and even hiding behind a stand.

" You'd think that in a land that has love and tolerance, the minotaur sterotype wouldn't exist...."

He called out to the pony, walking her direction very slowly. " Miss, I'm not going to hurt you. I promise. Its okay, and it was an honest mistake."

Wilhelm, this entire time, was slowly edging away from Lorec and Ice. When Trixie came in, however, Wilhelm would freely admit to anyone who asked that he had to stifle a laugh. It was, admittedly, quite hilarious. However, Wilhelm made himself quite expressionless before stepping toward Trixie. "Don't worry," he said with a friendly tone, beginning to smile, "he's usually nice. Quite friendly and even cultured to a reasonable degree, even... Just ignore the scars." Wilhelm lowered his voice slightly. "Just, ahm... stay away from Lorec and Ice for a little bit. Celestia knows when their 'manly honor duel' or somesuch will erupt." His smile turned wry, and he extended a hoof to Trixie. "Come on, you can get up now- if the Great and Powerful Trixie is okay enough to walk, of course." He tilted his head a bit to the side, glasses slipping a bit down his muzzle and his eyes holding a bit of a mischevious glint.

"Aye, I think we shall too!" Tyra agreed, grinning back at Sifana, and nodded, "Aye, in our area, we are considered the best warriors!"

She glanced over to the others, noticing a peculiarly dressed mare duck behind a table at the sight of Lorec.

"I believe I have seen her before," she mused, "she is a performer of some renown in Equestria. The Good and Mighty, something...?" She muttered, tapping her temple with her hoof in thought.

Shrugging, she turned back to Sifana. "What is this 'rite' you mentioned? I am curious!"

@, @, @@Orion Caelum,

Blizzard shook the minotaur's leg, "Thanks. And as we say in central Equestria, 'You're pretty badass yourself.' I get what you said though about my friends. I don't realize it, sometimes, but I do need to let my friends fend for themselves. But that's still not gonna stop me from helping them when they need it! And I hope we have a fun fight out there."

He then saw Trixie hit Lorec's leg, "No way! Omygosh it's Trixie! Haha! How are you doing? Have you been putting on any good performances recently?"

He turned to Will, "Don't worry about us Willy, we've become friends now. Nothing will 'erupt' "

" In Saduaris, the full name for it is the rite of temperance! When a Minotaur or Taurette comes of age, they undergo the rite. You go off on your own, to a dangerous place, and, well, live there for a year! It tempers iron into steel, as pa says. Surviving means you are strong, and are due honors. Needless to say, it is optional, but favored by warrior and hunter clans. Father doesn't want me to, but I wanna be strong, just like him! Thats why I want to do the rite when I'm older!"

Tyra smiled warmly at her excitement, and listened to her intently about her and her father's home. She wondered why she should only keep to a few territories, but perhaps it was best not to bring it up to a child.

"Very well, my thanks," she grinned, bowing her head respectfully to Sifana, "and I shall definitely have a drink with your father at some point, I would love to trade tales with him!"

Lorec looked at Ice Blizzard, and chuckled a bit.

" haha, I guess you'll have to find out on the battlefield if it does or not. What, surely you did not think that I would just give information to an opponent, did you? What you see for now is all the information you'll have for now.besides, I'm sure that you as a spellcaster has some tricks."

She said, her eyes perking up a little. She looked as though she had a very important question to ask.

Green was still training at the training grounds alone. "C'mon C'mon ANNND I...am out of lightning...damn I need rest." Greens stomach grumbled. "How long have I been here? I need to eat." He said to no one. On his way to the snack stand he noticed a certain gigantic minotaur. "Lorec?!"

"Extremely." I commented on Ice's question. "Extremely fascinating. Would you submit to a deep examination? Or would you rather tell me your life story?" I sipped a bit more. "The second option might be less.......painful." Then it actually dawned on me. He'd been mentioned twice and it took a bit for me to register. "Wait, we're fighting next aren't we? My shocks would melt your ice, which would short out my electricity. They can't really touch each other without canceling." I contemplated on this while I sipped some more milkshake. "Well, guess I'll be Metalbending."

I looked over the minotaur and took note of his height. He was also ripped. Sparky took a scan of him and the child with him. "Hi. What's your name, sir?"

Blizzard walked over to Lektra, "Hey Electro Girl, are you ok? Is all this interesting or what?! I mean, did you see me? I stood in his face like it was nothing! And I got to make friends with him too! Did you see his sword? I wonder what kind of powers it has." he stopped for a second and said, "Woah wait, I'm sorry. Am I talking too fast? :adorkable: "

Trixie, now realizing that no one was going to crush her, was left with one primary emotion: embarrassment. As Wilhelm held out his hoof to help her up, however, she tried her best to hide it.

"Of course she is! It will take more than being assaulted by monsters to take Trixie down!..."

She looked around, momentarily distracted as her horn glowed. Then, she turned back to Caliber.

"You know, maybe you could help Trixie. Ever since her last defeat at the hands of Twilight Sparkle, she has been training day and night with the express intent of showing the mare up in combat. She had it on pretty good word she would be here, so Trixie came here to find her and challenge her. Unfortunately," she said, her horn flashing in emphasis, "Trixie hasn't been able to find hide nor hair of her magical signal, and though she's combed this entire area, all she's been getting are odd fluctuations, one of which happened to lead her here. So, she is forced to ask; can you give her the location of the purple unicorn?"

@Caliber

Sleight Mist had made it around half-way back to her room when a familiar voice stopped her. She turned around to smile at Caliber as he approached.

"What's up?" she asked, turning back to talk to him.

BEFORE CALIBER LEFT:

caliber smiled. ah, trixie, always trying to show up twilight. "sure, ill give ya a shout if i see twilight. stay great and powerful, trixie." he said, as he left.

AFTER CALIBER FOUND SLEIGHT:

caliber grinned. "i was just wondering if you were up for more training. if you want to, that is." his eyes sparkled. "iv even bought some equipment... know, for physical training." he shrugged. "but its really up to you."

Wilhelm contemplated the question for a moment, pushing the glasses back onto his muzzle. Then, he shrugged, frowning slightly. "Well, I haven't seen her for a while. I was looking for her myself, actually; I wanted to present my objections to her latest paper in my Celestia-damned field of...never mind. Anyway, I expect she's in the Royal Box where the Princesses stay and watch the fights; they're right near the announcer's stand so they can be close to Luna. You know where that is? Well, of course you do; how could I ever doubt a mare so obviously superior to us peasantry?" On the last line, there was the barest hint of sarcasm, buried too low for most ponies to catch.

(Guys, never do this again please, as it's a nightmare to reply to three pages worth of stuff and still stay in character cause it's already happened)

He then looked to Lektra.

" Lorec. Bloodline of Krin. This is my daughter, Sifana. May I have your name?"

Sifana then looked at Lektra, fascinated by her, almost. Especially, the sparky device. Sifana spoke.

" ooooohhhhh shiny....."

Lorec sized her up. There was something unusual about this one...

Nice to meet you. I'm Lektra Bolt of Bolt Solutions, Ponyville branch." I could easily tell he was a competitor. The child he was with was interested in Sparky. "Yes that's Sparky, my companion. Do you like him?"

And then all buck exploded between Lorec and Ice, ponies came, ponies left, and all the while I was too absorbed in my gigantic floating milkshake to really do anything about it. I should have. Really, I should have.

  @Unicorncob @Orion Caelum
Sleight Mist sipped her milkshake as she watched the crowd of ponies continue to build to a sizable manner. She waited until she was finished, then she calmly got up to leave.
"Sorry, not a crowd person." she said in explanation to Lektra Bolt, "But maybe we'll meet up later, so we can at least discuss that strange machine you have . Thanks for the milkshake," She finished as she disappeared, walking back to her room.

I normally wasn't either, but I was interested in how this was playing out so I could size up the competition.

Wilhelm's left eye started to twitch slightly, and his hoof wavered between his sword and his watch. Eventually, he settled on the watch, and stepped back slightly from Ice in a gesture obviously meant to mean "I want nothing to do with this". In between sips of milkshake, he tapped the watch with the edge of his hoof exactly once every second. After a brief pause to think, he edged away a bit more from the scene, unconsciously stepping near Lektra.

And this stallion just couldn't take a hint that I wanted to enjoy my sweets in peace among good company. "Psst, personal space." I commented absentmindedly.

And now they were friends? Seriously they were disrespectful to each other just moments ago. If I hadn't been so absorbed in my milkshake I'd of said something.

Maybe this was a good time to have Sparky do a scan of the group forming around us. Everypony. It would help for later. I just hoped it wouldn't set off the minotaur. I motioned with one hoof to Sparky to do his data collection scan. A harmless yellow magical horizontal beam moved over the ponies and minotaur near me in a 360 degree angle as I read the information by my link with him and Sparky stored it for later.

Now he notices me again? I was only half done with my gigantic floating milkshake and I'd been sucking the whole time. It was heavy, but helped that I'd requested a metallic cup or I probably wouldn't be able to lift it. Four times the size of my body. "Now you notice me again, huh? It was interesting for data collection, but pretty boring in terms of what actually went down. How do you go from being scared of me and Sleight to picking a fight with a minotaur? He could have killed you, and I should know cause the data Sparky got doesn't lie. Not guaranteed mind you, but a possibility." I sighed, exasperated with everything as I looked at the blue mare. "Are you always this impulsive, Ice?"

I tried to regard her with as little sarcasm as possible, but I didn't think there was anyone who hadn't heard of her attempts at actually beating Twilight. Unless they'd been living under a rock or in a cave for years. I spoke completely deadpan. "The Great and Powerful Trixie is here. Everyone should be respectful to her or she's gonna do some scary pyrotechnics." Why did I just do that?

Blizzard thought for a second and replied, "Ok first off, I'm scared of nothing. I got up in Sleight Mist's face like it was nopony's business the other day. I'm just a little bit awkward when it comes to small talk sometimes, and the fact that I'm fighting you next doesn't help me much considering I KNOW I'm gonna lose against you. Secondly I felt that dude had insulted my friend Tyra by saying she was 'a child'. Tyra HATES being called 'short' or any derivative of said term. So being the loyal friend I am, I got up in that dude's face as well. Call it being brave or being stupid, your choice. But it turned out to be a misunderstanding, and big guy and I became friends too. Now about me being impulsive, that's so true it hurts. :eww: I mean I've done some really questionable stuff in the past, and wanting to fight you without thinking, but hey, what can I do? :proud: "

" Haha! Pa will be happy to here this! Lets go see how they are getting along!"

Sifana then took Tyra's hoof and shook it slightly, being delicate. it may not look like it, but Sifana was already strong enough to do a fully grown stallion's work. not only that, but For a six year old, Sifana was quite articulate, at least for her age. The fact that she had managed to learn english naturally in a year and a half astonished her father, who had to learn through less... Conventional means. She started running towards the group with the milkshake. She made a playful ' follow me! ' motion with her hand towards Tyra.

Lorec looked at him and shrugged, really. He was used to working hard everyday, that much was for certain.

" Well, technically, everyday is a workout. I wake at first dawn, gore-run all the way from Canterlot to the Everfree, which takes a few hours. I get to the everfree, and I hunt. I don't use any armaments for hunting, just bare arms. Of course, since a lot of prey have sentience in the forest like the Manticores, I'm usually stuck hunting and wrestling down dumb boars. I'll make camp in the Everfree, and stay there for however long I need to until I have hunted enough. Easy to survive, honestly. When I've hunted enough, I'll skin my kills with whittled down boar tusks, and carefully folding the meat into skin as a sack. Then I'll find a large branch, hang the meat from it, and I'll use my bandages to keep it tightly wrapped on my back. Then, I'll gore-run back to Canterlot. Again, for hours. My daughter and I live with a friend in their house in Canterlot, which doubles as a weapons shop. I usually sell some of my kills to Griffons, as they also eat meat. For battle training, well... Wrestling animals keeps me sharp, and my friend is also a Krigare, so I can spar with him anytime I choose. Save for the fact that... We can't spar in canterlot and full strength. It gets too destructive, so he, I, and our other compatriots occasionally go out and have a free-for-all. Usually with the same result; Kazas winning and myself placing second or third."

He said, with a bit of a dissatisfied snort. Sounds like he wishes he could beat this Kazas himself.

" How about you, train daily?"

Lorec asked.

It was then That this ' Sparky ' creature started projecting weird lights around the crowd.

"Errr.... What exactly is that?"

Sifana smiled widely, happy that she had made a new friend.

"Aye!" Tyra nodded, grinning back at Sifana as she hopped up to her hooves. She had to admit, this young lady was incredibly mature, and did not seem that old for a minotaur. Her father had been raising her incredibly well.

She couldn't wait to get to talking to Lorec. And hopefully, soon they could clash in the arena!

She chuckled at the young minotaur's excitement, and trotted after her to obey the gesture.
