Unicorncob 5,499 July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 Taking another step backwards towards the crevice, he slowly spread his arms out, as if he were about to give a great hug to another. With the soul in one hand, and his other free, The familiar aura once again returned to Lorec. He simply smiled at her, not returning any words. And it was then, that he voluntarily fell backwards into the newly formed crevice, and plummeted into the dark below. Just what was he planning?.... Not Yellow Diamond 924 July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 @, Fluttershy had thrown on her old gala dress that Rarity made her and was out the door to the gala after she cooed goodbye to all of her little critter friends who waved her goodbye as she left. She approached the venue and saw Kevin at the entrance. She walked up to him and smiled without saying a word, hoping he would first initiate contact. J.R. 3,179 July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 (edited) @, Another waiter came and poured Rarity some Sherry in her glass, and Blizzard, just regular champange. After Rarity was finished he replied, "Thanks. Yeah, it does kinda suck how uncommon that is, doesn't it? But then again, things are better when they're a rarity. Haha. I mean, when I was younger I wanted to be like, a scientist or whatever, then I got my ice powers from a crystal, and then sorta focused on art. Hence, my sculptures." He laughed, before sipping the champange from his glass, "But after all that art stuff, I just decided to embrace my I like most: Combat. Hehe! I realized that after a while, fighting was my shtick. I guess my grandpa's training really helped. Buut if the time calls for it, I still can make a really mean sculpture." "But uh, let's talk about you, Rarity." he said, confiently, "I've always liked your designs for mares, but I've always wondered if you did clothes for stallions. Then my buddy Caliber told me how you fixed his cape, and I thought, 'Hm. That's pretty amazing what she can do'. You know Rarity, if you ever have a line of stuff for stallions, I'd be happy to...you know...try them on and whatnot for you, if you want." ------------------- @, Kevin saw Fluttershy approaching. He had never had a date before, and welcomed the idea, but this was a 2-bird-with-one-stone situation, due to his suspicions of something going wrong at this party. "You look great," he said simply, "Let's go inside." Edited July 21, 2015 by Ice Blizzard

Dust and Memories 557 July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 (edited) "Understood, milady." Wilhelm mock-bowed and turned to fly off, proceeding to realize too late that there was a brick building right behind him, which he had been about to fly straight into. "Wrong direction. Oops." Turning in the right direction now, he flew off to his house, doing a barrel roll midair for the absolute heck of it. Admittedly, he never felt as alive as he felt when he was flying, though he imagined that the act of copulation might feel similar. The wind streaming past his wings, his mane flying free, the wonderful sense of altitude... sometimes, he could understand why his sister spent all her time either in the air or singing. Landing back at his house after what could be considered a far too short time in the air, Wilhelm swung open the door (Room 211, to be specific), and, locking the door behind him, caught sight of himself in a mirror. Whistling lowly, Wilhelm muttered "Yeah, I have a lot of work to do." First, he took off his dirty clothes and took a short shower, washing off the accumulated dirt and sweat of the day. Stepping out after around five minutes, he dried himself off and combed his mane into a carefully maintained sweep, taking a bit of extra time to correct the part until his mane was as perfect as he could make it. Considering Wilhelm wasn't a professional manedresser, this wasn't that much, but it would pass muster for a high-class party. Secondly, he took his dress uniform from its hanger on the door, already ironed and prepared for the party tonight, as Wilhelm had anticipated Annette accepting his invitation, though as all stallions likely do, he had no idea whether anything would go to plan when it included a mare. Buttoning the pure white coat up and affixing the golden insignia of rank to his collar, he also took his sword from within his heap of clothes, gave its edge a quick swipe with a nearby whetstone, and cleaned both edges with a watered cloth. Buckling it to his belt, he saw the time and cursed- he only had a few minutes to meet Annette at the party. Carefully checking himself over in the mirror, he adjusted his glasses slightly on his muzzle and pronounced himself fit for the rest of society. Throwing open the door, Wilhelm quickly locked it behind him and spread his wings, flying off towards the concert hall. The great bear was coming for Tyra! Tyra waited, watched, listened for any sign of life... CRASH A large paw, about the size of a house, slammed down from inside the crevice out of nowhere. The sudden impact caused Tyra to jump to attention, and she sprinted back a few meters to get some distance. Emerging from the ground was a great golden Ursa monster, definitely the size of an Ursa Major, if not bigger. It roared, sending a gust of wind that nearly blew her away with its sheer force. It spoke in a low distorted voice as it climbed slowly out of the pit, aiming right for her. Tyra took a deep breath and clenched her axe tighter, giving her hoof a few drags in the dirt before breaking into a sprint right for the monster. Specifically, its paw. If she could leap onto it, she could run up the arm, dealing some blows along the way, and go for a powerful attack to its jaw.
Not Yellow Diamond 924 July 21, 2015 Share July 21, 2015 Rain Shadow floated down next to the mare. She waited by her while she ate, though she wasn't interested in the cobs in the slightest. "Actually, yeah, i'm here without a date. Apparently, i'm just not pretty enough for some lucky stallion. Or mare, I don't judge," she said off-handedly, mostly talking to herself at that point. She decided to turn the conversation back to Lektra, before she ended up losing a potential friend. It wouldn't be the first time. "Anyway, i'm Rain Shadow, the pegasus. It's nice to meet you," she finished as held out what she hoped was a confident hoof. -------- Sleight Mist was there exactly where she said she would be, at the front of the entrance to the hall. She wore a drop-dead dark blue ensemble, and she grinned from ear to ear as she saw him approach. "You're here, and you look fantastic," she remarked as she checked him out. "So... you ready to go in?" -------- "Actually, yes, I would like a drink. Just a small glass, though. Sherry Amontillado." She smiled openly at him. it's okay by the way, Ice Blizzard. It's actually nice to see a stallion with a sense of style. It's incredibly rare nowadays," she replied as she reflected rather unfondly on how that was all too true. -------- Sunny Days stopped, thinking hard about what Night Tracer had said to her. All the while, that little word kept floating around in her mind, teasing her. Trust. She had promised to trust Night Tracer, had given her word. So why couldn't she do it now? She looked out towards the crowd of ponies, hesitation pulling at her like the weight of the sun itself... Moments later, a bright flash of light lit up the dark corner of the room, though it was only visible to those who happened to be paying attention. Moments later, Princess Celestia strode out, pulling up a seat across from Night Tracer "I guess i'll have that drink then," she said, pulling up the menu. She wasn't smiling; she was anxious. ---- . ---- Octavia and Vinyl stood by the door greeting guests as they came in. "Thanks for coming." Octavia said to one mare as she entered. "Seems as if most of the rest rant is already, aren't they?" Octavia inquired, while stepping back beside Vinyl. Octavia scanned the crowd until she spotted Night Tracer sitting at his table, "I wonder who his date is?" She pondered. Vinyl stepped up and motioned that perhaps she was "some knock off," as a joke. Octavia couldn't help but chuckle. "I wouldn't be surprised knowing his taste. You never know." They both laughed. But, to their surprise out came a mare, not just any mare. But the most recognizable, most powerful being in all of Equestria, at ther restaurant. Octavia fainted back and hit the floor while frozen in a shocked pose. Vinyl stood with her mouth agape, "Holy Bitch, Tavey." She stated, waiting for her friend to respond. But instead of asking again she looked down to see Octavia dumbfounded note floor, stuttering trying to find words, "C-C-C-Cel-Cel--," Vinyl face hoofed and shook her head. "Oh Octavia..." --- Night Tracer smiled as Celestia say down across from him; the real Celestia. Although she seemed uneasy, he would change that in one way or another. As Celestia requested a passing by waiter poured her a glass, then walked over to Night Tracer to pour him a glass as well; he stopped her kindly, "Uh, sorry, I, uh don't drink." He told her. The mare pulled back the bottle, "The water I have is fine, thank you." He reaffirmed, letting her know she didn't have to do anything. So she walked off. Around the time she left, Night Tracer turned with intent to focus his attention on Celestia but to his and most likely her dismay ponies had gotten close to them from all directions and bowed; while chattering about Celestia. Night Tracer grabbed a piece of bread from the center of the table, "Um, hey, y'all. Uh, I'm flattered. But if I'm not mistaken, y'all came here to eat, and I know you might find it fitting to bask in my presence but it's sort of weirding me out." He explained, while holding a straight face, acting completely serious. Many of the mares and stallions looked at him confusedly, some began standing up and backing away from the strange stallion. Night Tracer dropped the bread in his hoof on his plate and approached the crowd. He walked In front of them and bowed. Many of the ponies raised a brow at him and his behavior, which is exactly what he had hoped. He stood back up and spoke,"Is this strange for you? You're just a pony? Why would I bow to you? Why would you now like you bowed? A mare is still a mare at heart. How many times are you judged constantly off of your job instead of your personality? Not often. You need to look at who someone is, not what they do." Night Tracer explained as he walked back and took his seat. He leaned over and picked up his bread again, "Besides I'm pretty sure if you don't eat and pay, you'll get thrown out... What a waste on money." He cooed and mocked in a playful manner. He looked back at Vinyl who was helping Octavia to her hooves. Vinyl nodded to back up Night Tracer. Ponies chattered and then soon after, dismissed to their tables. Most understanding to some extent with what Night Tracer said but others not thinking much of it. Night Tracer watched as organized chaos was reverted to it's "pre-" stage. "Not as smoothly as I hoped but it's something." He commented, "So, I have a surprise for you but first, I need to order. Fractured 2,682 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 (edited) , "If I look like Canterlot, it's because I am. It shows, doesn't it?" she repled, with more than a hint of pride. But then, her voice dropped as she began recalling the details to her story. "I actually grew up on the poor side, the side that nopony talks about. Mind you, it was still relatively rich compared to the rest of Equestria, but it wasn't fun and games for us. Very elitist, Canterlot, if you've never been there, and my family was made fun of constantly." Her voice rose back to normal then as she lost her somber tone. "But, what did I care? I was talented. My parents knew it, and I knew it. They scrounged up enough money for me to make it into Celestia's school for Gifted Unicorns, where I did what I did best; put on a show. I wowed them, even impressed the princesses on one or two occasions, until a mare... I can't quite remember..." She frowned, scrunching her face up in an attempt to remember the details. Eventually, she gave up, and continued the story. "Long story short, I dropped out, and began traveling, putting on spectacular shows for the whole of Equestria. At least until recently, that is." she gave a non-chalant smile, really not stressed about it in the least. As she looked over Aknor's shoulder's, however, her tilted curiously to the side. "Is that...Princess Celestia? Hold on a second." She pulled her chair out and moved away from the table before walking over to meet her. She hardly even noticed her date. "Celestia? Hi, it's Trixie..." "Actually, that's not a bad idea, the only stallion I really know that can model is Big Mac," Rarity replied, drawing into her own thoughts a little, "And he doesn't really provide the right fit for the standard model, for obvious reasons. But you seem to be just the right height and weight for most of my customers. So maybe..." She realized she was drifting off, and blinked twice before turning back to Ice Blizzard. "Sorry. Tell me, Ice Blizzard, have you ever modeled before?" ------- @sonicdashie "So they're like, your clouds and everything? Cool." Rainbow once again floated up next to her. "So can you control other clouds and make them disappear too? Because let me tell you, you'd go really great for the Weather team. Maybe I can recommend you?" she offered, always glad to have another weather mover on her team. ------- @Orion Caelum Anette stopped off at her quarters, and she immediately started to rush around, desperate to get ready and out before the allotted time. Clothes, assorted jewelry and the works quite literally flew around the room as she panicked, and it was only by the grace of the dolls reflexes that they avoided being struck or impaled by anything. She stopped for a moment and stepped into her closet. She tossed some more things around for a moment, before she eventually came out with a dress. "How's this?" She said as she held up the red and black garment, twisting it so that the dolls could get a better view. The mental hisses, boos, and mock vomits told her all she needed to hear. "Okay, maybe not..." she said as she rushed back into the closet. She came out with several different garments, each one being met with general disapproval, until she arrived at one in particular. One that looked so perfect, she couldn't believe that she hadn't thought of it before. "Now?" she said as she held it out. All the dolls stared... than seemed to nod in approval then, with the exception of Hero, who had finally managed to climb out from under the clothes pile that he had been buried under prior. "Okay, thanks!" she replied as she rushed back into the closet and fitted it on, possibly breaking a new record for the event. After a few more preparations, styling her hair, and placing on an elegant tiara, she headed for the door. As she stepped out, however, she turned back, looking at her dolls and the enormous mess that she had made in her haste. "Um... could you clean that up for me, please?" she said with a nervous grin, before closing the door behind her. She arrived at the entrance to Octavia's Hall, with exactly five minute to spare. -------- Sleight Mist took a walk in, and glanced around the large room. To her credit, she was actually slightly impressed; she didn't think it would be near as impressive as anypony said it would be. So far, it was meeting her expectations, and, hopefully, it would continue to do so. She spotted an empty seat somewhere off to her right, and moved over to it. She then turned back to Caliber. "You getting something? I'm paying, so go wild." ------- Princess Celestia kept a calm face, smiling beautifully as ponies began to crowd around, naturally curious as to why the princess would be here, of all places. She opened her mouth in order to respond, only for Night Tracer to draw off the crowds himself, dispersing them in minutes. She stared, impressed, and she couldn't help but crack a smile at his antics. It was something Starswirl would do... "You know, Night Tracer, you didn't have to do that. I'm not shy about meeting my ponies. It's just, I wish every now and then, they would treat me naturally..." Her attention was caught by a voice somewhere off to her side, and she turned her head. As soon as she spotted Trixie, she smiled, immediately putting on her persona in spite of herself. "Hello, my student. It's been almost a decade since i've last seen you! Night Tracer, this is Trixie, she used to go to my school back when she was a filly. Edited July 22, 2015 by Corona de Adamas
J.R. 3,179 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 (edited) @, Blizzard looked up and began twiddling his hooves, "Well...uh..no. actually I haven't. It does sound like it'd be fun though. Hold on, I gotta go use the little colts room." He got up and walked to the restroom. On his way there, he saw Princess Celestia sticking out like a wart on smooth skin. He dismissed it at first as he walked into the restroom. After finishing, and washing his hooves, he peeked out the door to confirm, "Ho-lee-sh*t! She's here. Better make sure this goes right with Rarity." As he walked out the bathroom, he looked at Celestia from across the room and gave her a smug look and a salute to say something along the lines of, "Good job, Celly. That's our princess. Don't change who you are!" He made his way back to his table and sat down across from Rarity, "Looks like we got a live one." he said as he 'pointed' his eyes to where Celestia was sitting, "I hope we can all make friends with her on a sociable level." He then looked towards Rarity, "But even though I haven't done it before, I'd love it if I could model for you." He laughed a little as he brushed back his mane, "Maybe I could get my photo in one of your magazines? Haha, but seriously, it sounds pretty fun, and I think you'd get great publicity if you use a stallion, because you'll have female, AND male customers lining up at your door, and you'd be raking in bits. Heck, if you wanted, I could probably start for you tomorrow afternoon, and model a few things for you." He looked her over again, she looked like an angel that had just fallen from heaven whom Ice felt needed somepony to 'keep her warm'. He spoke again, "A-and not to mention, you've always worked so hard for others, yet kept yourself looking so se-- I-I mean, beautiful, that it's amazing! "hungry?" he asked, handing her a plate. Bjorg Bjorg got kicked once more, straight in the beak. She automatically let go. "Ow!" She grumbled, rubbing her beak. She opened her wings and charged up at Violet, one talon ready to catch and kicks, the other clenched into a fist to punch Violet in the gut. Red Red hastily sat down beside her, looking around. They seemed to be one of the first inside. She recognized some of the ponies coming in, but couldn't place names on any of them. She couldn't get over how big this place was... violet barely had any time to make sure her leg was okay, before that griffon was charging again. once again, she was caught off-guard, and took the punch to the gut. okay, this was starting to get annoying. violet snarled, reaching out to hold the griffon in a bear-hug. this griffon was gonna learn not to underestimate ponies. Fractured 2,682 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 "Damn right I am." she said, expressionless. Moving with determination and purpose, Sleight Mist took the plate and strode over to the table, where she proceeded to fill her plate until it was slightly under Caliber's in size. Satisfied that she had enough, for now, she walked back over to meet Caliber. She looked over at him. "Caliber, don't worry about the money thing, by the way. I'm pretty loaded; I don't pay for much besides supplies and my caravan, and being a freelancer out in Equestria actually pays pretty well, depending on what you're willing to do. There's no shortage of odd jobs and problems that ponies need solved..." -------- Rarity blinked twice at Ice Blizzard, then took another shot of Sherry. "Uh, thanks," she finally managed to say once she'd finished downing the glass. She flagged down the waiter, and asked for another one. "Actually, come to think of it, it's not a bad idea. You could help support the model for most stallions. The only problem is, it would leave me less time to work on la clochette. I'm close to finishing it now; I can feel it." Quite literally; she could feel a tingling sensation from the gem as it lay around her neck. It sparkled a light blue as it drew in the magic around her. J.R. 3,179 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 (edited) @, Blizzard thought for a moment before smirking, "Actually, I'd think it'd be the other way around. Hehehe....you see, if I were to help you out with the stallion stuff, you'd actually have more time to work on la clochette. Think about it, you'd have someone to finally help you out after so many years of hard work, that it would actually give you free time to do other things." "My grandpa would always say, 'Eight hooves work faster than four.' And I think if helped you model stallion stuff, I could probably handle the other stuff with that as well, so you could focus on la clochette. And uh, I don't want you to feel...what's the correct term...guilty? Or something if you accept my help, because I would enjoy helping you out, because you work so hard, that I feel you deserve any help you need. I mean, I can worry about my fighting, and personal stuff some other time. Right now I wanna help you and your shop thrive with business. And you don't have to worry, because I can probably handle it." A waiter brought Rarity her apple steaks, and the spaghetti for IB, "Mmm...this looks good. So...whaddya say, Rarity? Fractured 2,682 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 @Orion Caelum The dolls watched the door close behind them as Anette left off to her party. "Well... I guess we better get started..." Glory lazily floated through the air, flapping her wings almost as an afterthought. She began picking up clothes via telekinesis, before placing them neatly on the hangers in the closet. Hero and Heartthrob silently followed suit. At least, until Nightmare spoke up. "Oh, come on! Are we really fixing this place up?" he shouted with exasperation from the floor. "For what? She'll just get it dirty again when she comes back to have fun with that pegasus- yikes!" He scrambled out of the way, narrowly avoiding the arrow that had embedded itself in the carpet. He looked closer, and there was something odd and yellow coating the tip. Paralytic. He looked up at Heartthrob, and promptly shivered. There was fire in her eyes as she glared at him, and she was moving closer. She landed on the carpet and began marching angrily in his direction, him taking an equal number of steps back for every one she took forward. "Don't you ever talk about Wilhelm that way!" she shouted, putting more emphasis into her words with every step she took. "Or Anette! She deserves this relationship- they both do- and for you to just...just..." she sat in front of him, shivering in anger, unable to even finish. Nightmare paused for a moment as he looked down at her, like he was actually contemplating apologizing. Then, he cracked a grin. "Are you sure their relationship is the one you're concerned about?" Heartthrob stopped shivering. Instead, in a movement so fast that Nightmare didn't even have time to cackle, she pulled up and cocked an arrow, the tip aiming directly at his forehead. Nightmare looked up, blinking slowly. "You...take...that...back." she said, with deathly silence. Nightmare looked up to where the arrow was pointed, blinking slowly, and that was when Hero stepped in, moving between the two in a flash and putting his shield up on Heartthrob's side. "You two, calm down. No fighting." he uttered gruffly. Heartthrob continued to glare at Nightmare over the shield, until Glory popped up as well, fluttering in slowly down from above to land on the carpet beside them "He's right, you two need to calm down. And help. Anette's had such a tough life, and she's been working hard to take care of us. She deserves this night off... and nothing's going to interrupt it. Nothing." she emphasized, turning towards Nightmare and narrowing her eyes. "Am I understood?" Nightmare rolled his eyes, but nodded in agreement. "Good." She once again fluttered off, and Hero pulled lightly through the air, following her. Heartthrob spared one last angry glare at Nightmare, before she too joined, the three of them beginning the long process of restoring the room back to its pristine state. "Ugh, alright. But don't say I never did anything for you guys!" Nightmare floated up to join them, making sure to grumble the entire time. Much to the other dolls' dismay. "No, you misunderstand. Trixie is one of the many students that happens to reside the School for Gifted Unicorns. The two you have heard about are rare occasions, ponies with magical potential so exceptional that they require higher learning than what the school can provide them. That's when I choose to take them under my wing as personal pupils." "I was great, and I was powerful, but my heart wasn't in the right place. Isn't that what you said, Celestia?" Trixie shrugged. "I remember. I took it to heart." she said, and something silent passed between them. When the moment passed, Trixie trained her eyes on Night Tracer. "So, Night Tracer, how'd you meet Celestia?" "I'm not sure. As a model, absolutely, but as extra help..." Rarity took another sip of her sherry, before taking a bite of her apple steak. Her eyes nearly rolled up at the taste. It seemed like every one of her taste buds was singing a hymn. She had to stop for a moment to get her words out. "I don't think I could put you through all of that extra trouble. What I do is really not easy..."
Vae Victis 742 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 Tyra waited, watched, listened for any sign of life... As if the earth itself were a snake.... The stone, from where The great golden Ursa had struck it's paw in order to climb upward, had begun to seemingly... Crawl up the Ursa's arm, and slowly started to creep and cover it's entire body, as if the earth itself was his armor. He was quite literally absorbing the earth, and using it as a shell to contain the form he was now in! However, the makeshift stone armor would be weak in some areas around his entire body... Perhaps those could be used as attack points? As he was calling forth the stone to protect himself, Lorec also was still raising his now gargantuan right paw high into the air, attempting to bring it down hard on Tyra! While the impact was certain to have an extreme level of raw, kinetic force, it was also to be an excessively slow attack, given the size of the beast! But had Lorec really become this monster, or, was he controlling it somewhere from within... __________ [KAZAS AND THE OTHERS] Kazas's single eye widened in shock and disbelief. Lorec had finally done it... He had ascended past the second phase of the keepers, and had managed to externalize the wasted energy from soul infusion into maintaining a definitive shape; that of a great Ursa! Kazas, relaxing, had a strange, knowing smile on his face... But why was he so relaxed after appearing so tense? Syuren, still with a hoof around Sifana, dropped his jaw. " holy....." Sifana, immediately stopping all semblance of mourning, looked on in awe. " is that... Papa?" Alrahm, stroking his beard, started to cast a spell, his horn glowing a faint white. From within his robes, a small journal appeared, along with a quill and ink. Floating in air, the book opened, and the quill dabbed itself in the ink, and began to write. Already on the page was a sketch of Lorec, along with some information written down in shorthoof notes. He appeared to be updating this particular section of his logs..... And finally, Vorrin, sitting quietly for the duration of the match, spoke softly. " so, big guy... This really was what you were looking for... Wasn't it..." _____________ [NAGA] the monk had bowed his head as Caliber had taken off, and attempted to resume to talk to the bouncer to get back in... He would try to drop names, would that the bouncer would believe that he knew the ones whose names he would drop. He would wait outside, ears downward and deeply discouraged, hoping that maybe someone could help get him inside...
J.R. 3,179 July 22, 2015 Share July 22, 2015 (edited) @, Blizzard twirled some spaghetti onto his fork before eating it. It was amazing. He had never tasted anything like that before, "Hmm...I taste...basil...garlic...coriander...cumin...and...cayenne?! Damn these ponies know what's up...." He wiped his face with a napkin and replied to Rarity, "Oh, well, yeah, I understand what you mean. I do wanna help you out with the modeling and whatnot, but nopony could ever match your level of seamstress skill. I mean, you're the only one I know who can do all that clothing prowess. I sure can't. I mean it's the work of an angel." "But it'd be no trouble at all, milady. Ha. I've been through all 9 stages of Tartarus, I think I could handle giving you some help. Mainly because, I know you work hard. I mean, you work as hard as Applejack, 24/7, so I'd be happy to do what I can for ya. If you ever have stuff you need help lifting, or any dirty work in general, just let me know, and I'd be happy to lend a hoof." He ate another forkful of spaghetti and swallowed before asking, "So, what would I be modeling? And another question, am I gonna be on a runway in like a fashion show? Haha, sounds pretty fun." Tyra watched as she advanced on the monster, as the very earth began to cover its enormous body like armour. It had to be weak in some areas, she'd just have to find them. She glanced up as the giant stone paw was slowly careening down on her. She started sprinting faster; if she could make it onto his other arm in time, perhaps the attack may damage himself... P-Jay 1,987 July 23, 2015 Author Share July 23, 2015 (edited) @, at this, caliber actually laughed. "oh...oh, thats rich." he said, "thanks, but no thanks. ill make do with my plate, here." he shrugged. "ponies have said the same thing as you, you know. and they ended up bankrupt. i can freaking eat...i dont even know how much, but i know that you wouldn't be able to pay." his voice got softer. "but dont worry about it. now, tell me what you have in ind for this party..." he said, that sly smirk returning. zernu and cubus were waking through the streets, taking about how sometimes sheer strength or speed may trump superior skill. it was rather advanced, and only seasoned swordsponies would understand a lick of what they were saying. and it was actually getting heated, as zenru's patience started to wear off. "alls im saying is, that if you maybe worked a little harder on actual skill then speed, then maybe you would've won." cubus was ranting. "and iv told you, cubus, that iv tried to improve on skill, but none of the techniques can be executed as fast as i can move." "and thats why i was able to move fast enough to win, huh?" "you won because of your past lives, cubus. nothing more, nothing less. your nothing without those memories." "...you take that back." "why? ashamed of your life?""you know damn well what iv been through.""and you know the same for me. that doesn't stop you from mocking my speed." "..."they were both in front of anette's house by now where they stopped, (go figure) and they had gripped their swords. "...zenru, you know i have this weird urge to always protect my honor." "same goes for both of us. and this time, you wont get the jump on me from that little trick you pulled with that sonic boom." "..."the air started to feel pressurized between them. anyone nearby would have a deep sense of fording. "it seems we're having a battle here, huh?" "indeed it seems so." Not Yellow Diamond 924 July 23, 2015 Share July 23, 2015 (edited) @@Star Saber, She guffawed at her dumbfounded friend, "Of course not Ashie, it was just a hunch." She giggled as she began bouncing in place. The doctor walked in and casted Ash's wing, "You're good to go. any questions before you go?" He inquired while rolling around the last strip of bandaging. @, Night Tracer responded, "I met her through my girlfriend actually," he took a sip of his drink, "Her sister..." He trailed off and set his drink on the table. "Also, on my first day her I got into a load of shit." He lightly laughed, almost non audibly, while trying to touch all to much on the topic even though he didn't mind. Fractured 2,682 July 23, 2015 Share July 23, 2015 The dolls had just finished putting the last of the clothes into Anette's closet, when Hero suddenly shivered. All the other dolls stopped, looking at him in concern. "What's wrong?" Glory was the first to ask. "There's danger here. A big fight." he replied, before shooting a look towards the door. Heartthrob and Glory quickly followed suit, their eyes glancing nervously up towards the door. Nightmare, however, jumped and practically shot off towards it, eager to participate. "It's none of our concern." Glory concluded, turning away from the door. She also grabbed Nightmare's tail with telekinesis in one fluid motion, sending him face down into the carpet. "As long as this house isn't in danger, we're fine. We just need to keep doing what we've been doing, and we'll be fine." That was the final say. All of the dolls turned away and moved back into their work. Only Hero spared one last glance at the door before joining them. ------- "It's simple, Caliber." she leaned in towards him, though she didn't bother to whisper. "It's our first date. I plan to have you enjoy the most fantastic food you've ever had. I plan to have you dance until you can't stand properly anymore. I plan to get you so drunk on wine that we can't even remember your own name. And then..." This time, her voice dropped to a whisper, not even loud enough to be heard at the next table over. "We go wherever you want, and do whatever you want to do. Sound like a plan?"
P-Jay 1,987 July 23, 2015 Author Share July 23, 2015 @, the air crackled, and they were fighting again. the air charged with sheer energy, the clashing started just like last time. they took to the air once more, and were drifting away. this wasn't a full-blown spar, more like a arm-wrestle. a joke spar. it would be a while before one would back down. the environment around them were in danger, however. already, three trees were sliced, and were wobbling. four more were already on the ground. caliber was silent. he brightened up when she was done talking. "...that is a very fair deal." he said, "and i shall comply!" he laughed, and merely took the platters on the buffet, bringing them back to the table. some ponies looked at him rudely. this would be the first time he got drunk in quite the while...after all, last time he got drunk, it took him a week to find his sword. and about the dancing...well, he made a deal. he'll have to see it through. "whatever i want, huh?" he asked her, grinning, thinking of all the possible things.
Fractured 2,682 July 23, 2015 Share July 23, 2015 Trixie stared openly at Night Tracer for roughly fifteen seconds. Then, she looked up at Celestia, reading the situation and finding something very wrong here. "You're not laughing." "Because it's not a joke. Him and my sister have, in fact, fallen for each other. It was a surprise to me too." Celestia non-chanlantly took a sip from her glass. Maybe she should slow down... Meanwhile, Trixie regarded Night Tracer, looking at him for a second like a Chineighs curiosity exhibit before falling back to a smile. "So, are you a contestant here too, or just visiting?" The dolls stopped once again as the shaking intensified, to be added onto by loud crashing noises. It sounded like they were in the middle of a tornado. One particular crash sounded right outside their door, and it was then that Glory decided that she had had enough. "Hero, Heartthrob, Nightmare? Come here." When they all rallied up, she spoke to them, talking with deathly seriousness. "This is obviously too big to ignore, so we're going to check this out. But I don't want anyone doing anything until we're sure what we're up against. Okay?" Everyone nodded in agreement, so Glory beckoned them to silently follow. They each floated up to the window, which Glory silently nudged open with telekinesis. Then, they each moved out into the night, moving up to the top of the roof for a better view. Glory strained to see what was happening, but her eyes couldn't catch anything. She turned to Heartthrob, but she didn't even need to utter the instructions. "Two ponies." she began, rattling off the words as she stared off into the night. "Both swordsman. Damn good, I have to say; looks like you have some competition, eh Hero?" Hero gave a gruff response. Glory glared at her, and Heartthrob read it down the back of her neck. She continued her analysis. "Okay. Ridiculously fast. Ridiculously strong; they're cutting down trees like they're nothing. And... hold up... I came almost see their faces..." Heartthrob stopped staring, turning back towards Glory with an expression of exasperation. "You're not going to believe this..." ------- "That is what I said. And I always keep my promises." she replied, taking another shot. She looked back up at Caliber, smirking dangerously. "So, you're the great wanderer, which means you must have some good stories. I'll make you a deal; you share one, and I share one. Winner takes two of the heaviest drinks in this place. You up for it?" ------- Rarity shared a laugh with Ice Blizzard as he brought up the idea. "No, darling, you'd simply be modeling any of the designs that I happen to come up with, to make sure they'd properly fit your average stallion. I assure you, there will be absolutely no runways involved. I mean, unless you want to, that is. I'm sure I could fit you in somewhere..." She took another shot of sherry, pondering the possibilities.
