The saddest movie I've watched was Interstellar. Despite all the epic visuals and effects it had such an amazing storyline and mmm damn the feels... I was crying in the cinema like a little baby with my other 4 friends that had their poker faces on. But who cares this movie is awesome in nearly every aspect.

One of the saddest is easily Terminator 2 Judgment Day. Mainly because of that damn ending. :( I cannot watch the ending without crying, so either I am a weakling or this ending is just brutal. The tone, the emotion and also, the music, it all culminates into something so unbelievably sad.

For me, it's gotta be Grave of the Fireflies. Also, The Fox and the Hound comes in a close second.

It is amazing how depressing the Fox and the Hound is. :c

those would be on my top 10...

some others are, princess mononoke... its a sad love story. Pay it forward, hard to see the ending and...not...*Tear up*

but I would have to put my all time saddest movie?

Drangon Heart... I originally watch it as a kid, that Christmas I was given about "half" the toys they had for the movie...

... I sobbed at that move, and still do...so I don't watch it that often... I just don't want to see draco die...but I love to see him in the stars...*tearing up*

I think the worst thing an elementary school teacher of mine did to my class was make us watch The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.  I literally thought I would never be happy again. 3x

blocked it out till I saw this... same sotra thing different movie, and it was little worse...

English class, middle school, read the entire book "where the red fern grows"... then we watched the move........*tear*

  • Titanic.
  • The Green Mile.
  • The Boy in Striped Pyjamas.

I may be emotional when it comes to movies, but these three made me lose my breath..

I try to avoid sad movies because I like feeling heart-warmed rather than sad, but probably Charlotte's web. Even though her death was pretty darn obvious, especially having being read the book before my teacher showed the class the movie, it was still really sad... She was so nice to poor Wilbur, it's not fair... In my childish head-canon, she lives.

And also while I haven't seen it, I'm pretty darn sure Marley and Me is the saddest movie I'll never see based on eye witness accounts.

I am mainly a fan of comedic movies, so I cannot name a specific film that made me sad. However, I remember one scene from the movie Click that almost made me cry. If I remember correctly, it was the scene where Adam Sandler was an elderly man and he was running after his family members in the rain. He ended up slipping and crying his eyes out. (Or, at least, that's how I remember it happening).

(Here comes the judge)

Toy Story 3

I've always had trouble letting go my toys, especially when I think they're sentient. The fact that I can relate to 90% of the movie is extremely rare on my case. That movie; that story, really hits home.

Ring of Bright Water, really obscure British film about a man who takes in an otter and makes it his pet. It has a very sad ending and it's based off a true story. I was very young when I first watched it so the ending really got to me and it still does to this day. I'm getting sad just thinking about it.

Dragon Heart, yo. The final scenes of the movie had me bawling.

Toy Story 3 got me too but for different reasons. End of an era kind of thing. It broke my heart to watch Andy give up something so dear to him.

Another couple of contenders:

Wreck-It Ralph

When Ralph is destroying the car they just made together I couldn't help but tear up.

How To Train Your Dragon 2

Fuckin' Stoic's death. :(

Kung Fu Panda 2

Po parting with his mother. Right there in the theater a kick to the gut.
