I was reading something online and everyone kept saying twilight has autism and OCD? Do you think she has autism and OCD because I don't think she does.

I don't think there's any real evidence to suggest that she has autism. As for OCD, someone could argue that she is "organized" or "cleans a lot" (similar cases have been made for Pinkie Pie having ADHD). I don't think that this is true either though, because real OCD is more serious than "being really neat."

As usual, people insist on over-analyzing everything. At least when I hear that MLP is "Satanic propaganda," the claims are at least entertaining.

It's weird that you ask this, because i published a blog today, where i dwelve into the psych of the Mane 6, including Twilight.

To make it short, no. Twilight dosen't have autism.

It seems utterly ridicoulous to equate human disorders with fantastical magical ponies. We don't know and can't ever know and besides why would anyone want to presume this? I just enjoy the characters and don't deeply question who they are

I think Twilight is more OCD than autism.

Maud Pie does seem autistic. I can imagine Pinkie Pie having PDD-NOS. Twilight is an introvert who is highly intelligent. That doesn't necessarily mean autism.

Twilight certainly does not have autism. She's a hard-working brainiac and Princess Celestia' s best student.

As for OCD, I say she is simply organized and clean.

Why not?  My sister is one of the smartest people I know,  has a masters in Criminology and gets along with ppl but she

has a form of autism.  Given there are many types of a light to deep level it just depends on how that person carries it.

(Can't quote on this device so will be referring to the above post by Tao)

Many people with autism do have some struggles that they have with life. For Twilight we haven't learned much of any struggles.

Also, Twilight has performed empire saving task, after empire waving task, after empire saving task. That might get a little tricky for someone with autism in one way or another.

Why? Just cause some one has something different does not mean that can not rise above.  If anything they might push to

rise above all others to prove they can it in showing such a thing like autism won't defend the person they are or who they can be.  Now I will give it depends on the form/type of autism as well in things...(my sister and best friend from highschool had autism so have many ppl I've known or called friend and some with a higher degree)

I don't think she has autism but I guess people try to see her being autistic on the genius side, there is no evidence her genius and her personality have any solid autistic traits its can just be personality and how she was raised.

I have many of the traits described for the intelligent side of the autism spectrum, and I'm pretty similar to Twi.  I guess I could see how people might think that.  It's possible, but very doubtful.

And she's simply a little OCD-ish, which I am as well, but neither of us actually has a disorder.  Far from it.  That's much more extreme.

Ideeeeaaa!!!

Ok, so imagine this:  The Doctor Filly Show!  Twilight could be a guest on Dr. Filly to try to tackle her life-destroying OCD.  Oh mercy me, these things I come up with...

Twilight dose not have autism but she is most definitely OCD.

Exhibit A:

I can never understand how people can think Rainbow Dash is not a lesbian.

The burden of proof rests on you if you make such a claim. Were is your proof that she is gay and not just a tomboy?

Twilight Sparkle does not view friendship from an emotional point of view. She studies it like a scientific experiment. Before she came to Ponyville she even had no friends. The only reason she got any was because she was forced from the princess. From all episodes I have seen of her, I have noticed that she is really bad in socialising. Having autism is pretty likely.

And for OCD, there are plenty of episodes that show symptons of her having it.

Go watch Leson Zero.

I never understood the autism assumptions for her or Pinkie.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder I can see, however.

In Lesson Zero she was OBSESSED with getting her friendship report in on time to an unhealthy degree for both herself and everyone else around her, believing that if she didn't that Celestia would send her back to Magic Kindergarten.

In Spike At Your Service, Spike wanted to tell Twilight about leaving to serve his life debt to Applejack, which she did not notice-nor did she ever apparently move from her book until Applejack knocked an inkwell out of place.

Plus, she gets WAY too excited about re-shelving day.
